Staff was continually traipsing through the kitchen and lounge area and slamming doors. No one would show me how to turn on the stove top burners.

The hostel is above a pub managed by the same crew. It's in the old city and is very nicely located, three minutes from Sant Esteve and the town hall on one side, and the casa de la Vall on the other. (Andorra la Vella is tiny after all). The staff are absolutely lovely and genuinely want to make your stay more comfortable. Rooms are of a good size; they and the ensuite bathroom were clean. Bed was very comfortable. In short, loved it, very strongly recommend it!
One thing I would recommend is that if you're staying over the weekend, favour the rooms towards the back of the building, since the front could be noisy from the street and the old city bars.

The welcome and the help in finding a car parking space was exceptional. The young lady took us to the car park and carried a bag back to the hostel. The bar area and staff were very friendly.
The soundproofing could have been more effective.
