Pros: Beautifully restored house in a quiet residential area. Friendly owners. Nice breakfast with high quality ingredients. We did not sit in the garden as it was too cold outside but in summer it must be a lovely spot to have breakfast.
Cons: Minor comments: parking is for free but it might take some time to find a parking spot as it is located in a residential area. Curtains do not obscure the room completely so you wake up at sunrise.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Unbelievably clean tidy with a cool twisting mix of modern and old - very very cool
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent place, our second stay in this B&B was again superb. Quiet room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast of off course a very warm and helpful welcome.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Decoration, hospitality, lication
Cons: Everyting! Complete perfection!!! And fantastic decoration & style, designed by the very talented host himself, perfect breakfast, beautiful garden, one of the greatest hospitality experience and close to the biggest natural swimming pond in Belgium, the Sportpaleis, the Riverenhof and the centre of Antwerp. I am a fan!!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners ,who live in the the adjacent townhouse , were gracious and informative. They are artists who beautifully restored ed and furnished the property. The Exterlaer perfectly met our locational needs, and met our it "charm standard" . It is located in an early twentieth century neighborhhod with a diversity of architecture. Free parking was available about a block away.Parking in Central Antwerp is expensive and restricted. A tram, however is located a half block away ,and it provides easy access to Central Antwerp as well as the Osli Coglei (sp?) art nouveau district, Antwerpen is an overlooked city,
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The owners were very helpful, made us feel very welcome. The bed was very comfy, the room was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was superb.
Cons: I had a problem with opening the front door with the code. The problem was not with the code itself but turning the knob of the door in the right direction.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The house and decor are very attractive and the rooms expansive. The location is close to the city centre easily accessible by No 9 tram. There is an excellent restaurant nearby. The continental breakfast is very comprehensive and tasty catering for all tastes. Daniel and Linda are truly wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they are very knowledgeable with reference to the local area and the city. If I should need to stay in Antwerp again then undoubtedly it would be here!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Host very friendly. Quite place. Nice breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I think Bed & Breakfast Exterlaer is a guest house rather than a hotel. I would say that it is really cozy and welcoming. Interior inside is basically a home. There is even a cat that will come to say hello at a breakfast! The hotel is located in a quiet and nice area and there is a park nearby. There is a tram line No.9 that will take you to the center of the city in 15 minutes. The hosts attitude is very pleasant. In the beginning I was maybe a little bit confused by the attention from the hosts (that you normally don't get at hotels), but then I got used to it and realized that it is actually a hospitality. The only thing I could point out is that the house has wooden floors inside and when people walk and talk in the staircase one can hear it from the room. But this was not really a problem for me.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Best hosts ever! Very recommended

Cons: Nothing!
Good 7.9
Pros: Room was large, very comfortable and clean. Area is quite safe - even at night.
Cons: Not the greatest of locations - right in the middle of the Jewish/diamond centre of Antwerp. Took us a day to get our bearings - approx 15 min walk to Central train station, even with our luggage. Similar distance to restaurants and cafes.

Pros: This is a beautiful family run small hotel with a lot of taste, charm and individuality. It is situated in an Art Deco building. When you enter you feel an old world hospitality there, you meet the owners of the old school of hoteliers who care for you. Staff are helpful, served breakfast had everything one could desire, was delicious and everything was freshly prepared and of a high quality. Room was well appointed, beds were comfortable. The hotel is close enough to public transport to get into medieval Antwerp in about 10 minutes on the tram No 7.
Cons: Nothing related to the hotel itself. There was a small issue about reservation through booking.com which had been already paid but did not show in the system of the hotel, so I had to pay twice. The price was later refunded to me by booking.com.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: This hotel have both personalities, charm and wonderful owners. If you should have good, memorable traditional stay in a hotel Antwerpen. Then you should book this hotel. M
Excellent 10.0

Pros: Loved everything! The staff are wonderful, the room is spacious and very comfortable. And the breakfast was such a nice way to start the day.
Cons: Location is a bit out of the way, but it does make it more peaceful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Extremely helpful owners, beautiful and comfortable room, delicious breakfast. This hotel is an old-world gem, with vintage stained glass and beauty without fuss. It could not be more different from the cookie-cutter rooms and faux elegance you so often get in city hotels. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Super elegant, friendly and nice owners.Real hospitality.Great and fresh breakfast
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The guest is central in this hotel. Very charming Classic hotel, in a quiet area of Antwerp.

Cons: I couldn't figure out the room temperature control.

Pros: + Very friendly host: the owner is an old school gentleman who made us feel comfortable from the first minute + Home made breakfast: forget about the standard buffet - here the owner himself serves everything you desire from fresh fruit salad to honey yoghurt and eggs + Convenient location: the hotel is not situated in the city center but you can easily go there by tram 7

Pros: Very helpful owners. Amazing comic library. Helped with heavy luggage. Quirky overall.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cool location, beautifully decorated rooms and a friendly host
Cons: All good
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The name "B&B The Baron" was quite appropriate. My wife and I felt like we were Baron and Baroness. The B&B was unassuming from the outside but once you enter, you feel like you are transported back in time. The breakfast setting was the most elegant setting we ever experienced. I was fortunate enough to be invited into Luc's library full of his collections of comic books - what an amazing experience. The location was very close to Antwerpen-Centraal and Luc's suggested walk proved to be an excellent introduction. Following his advise we took a long walk on the day of arrival, giving us the first look at the must-see sights. I had a magnificent view of the city from the ferries wheel at the Steenplein and great 360-degree sunset view of the city and the port from the Panorama, the 10th floor roof terrace at MAS. We even had local beer and listened to music at a beer garden on the way to MAS.
Cons: Payment by credit card rather than cash would have been more convenient.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Authenticity
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Excellent hosts great place to stay
Good 6.3
Pros: Our experience on the bright side: -Nice house -Clean place -New furniture -Nicely decorated room -Mix of modern and traditional -Well situated -Large room -Internet Ok
Cons: Our less positive experience in few words: -dogs barking during the evening -a lot of noise on the roof windows when there was rain -water bed way too soft -cold, no way to switch the heating -breakfast acceptable but not special
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was really nice!

Pros: Spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent shower (for two?), spotlessly clean, continental breakfast - all the essentials were perfect.
Cons: Nothing to dislike - but a couple of things to be aware of: On-street parking can be a bit of a lottery - I managed to find a parking spot around the corner. The room was on the second floor, so not for those with limited mobility.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: If you are interested for a place, which’s build with love and a great taste, eyes for details and fancy living, then visit B&B KAVA! A warm and comfortable place, where you are able to forget the world outside! We are happy to be there and will be there, anytime again.

Pros: It was a wonderful experience. The people we met there were worth more than any art display or monument in Antwerp. Plus, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. There were several places to hang around that were pretty cosy, and the kitchen was available 24/7. Would definitely come back.
Cons: NTM
Excellent 9.6

Cons: -
Good 6.7
Pros: Free for all breakfast, low threshold check out

Pros: Nice staff and clean rooms, you can rest very well in this hostel✌️
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful! I had a big suitcase and wanted to go to the Chocolate museum without it, so the guys allowed me to keep it inside for free. I was really happy. Excellent 9.6
Pros: The ease of access, the location, the interaction with the host and, most of all.... The Bath! Never seen anything like it, it was really great!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Cozy, we were alone in the house, great bathroom, excellent bed!
Cons: The locking mechanism on the door wouldn't open once closed, so we had to trick it to be able to access it again after leaving out on the town for the evening. That should definitely be repaired!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A spacious, stylish and personal loft-apartment with lots of extras. We got lots of useful tips when signing in.
Cons: Location is a bit remote.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. Great welcome. Great decor. Great comfort. Really quiet area. Really comfortable bed. Really well equipped. 10 to 15 mins walk from centre (or you can catch the nearby tram). What's not to like?
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was great. Wonderfully warm welcome. Really comfortable and clean. Highly recommended. The only thing to note is that, if you stay in the apartment on the top floor, there are a number of stairs e climb.
Good 7.9
Pros: The retro style of the apartment and Kris's willingness to help when we needed a taxi or advice on where to eat.
Cons: The bedrooms were incredibly hot an extra fan may have helped to get a good night's sleep. It was exceptionally hot weather.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Excellent 8.3
Pros: no breakfast. surprisingly for a B&B.
Cons: mini fridge of something similar
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The "room with bath" is a beautiful and spacious room on the ground floor. The bathroom is situated at the front of the building facing a quiet footpath. The bedroom is situated at the backside of the building facing a cute and tiny courtyard with French doors. Reception was nice and thorough. Kris is very approachable and helpful. The code for the front door worked like a charm, we have not experienced any troubles with entering. What makes this room so special is the atmospheric interior and the beautiful, enormous bath. The bath is comfortable and fits 2 people even sitting next to each other! Do keep in mind that this will affect filling times of the bath of course. The hand shower is a nice feature, not a full shower of course but it does make it possible to take a quick "shower" while sitting in the bath, without actually having to fill up the bath. The nice bed was big (width & length!), not too firm, not too soft. Unfortunately ther was no option to decide for yourself how much fabric to sleep under, as there was only 1 big 2-person blanket. We visited in the middle of the winter, and we would have liked to have the option to add an extra layer, to be able to turn down off the heating. (We're even used to sleeping with an open window) Now we had to turn on the heating a bit to not get too cold. As far as amenities go, the room provides the basics: espresso machine with cups, tea, electric kettle, clock radio, iPhone/iPod docking station, sufficient amount of toilet paper, 2 larger and 2 smaller towels, hair dryer, hand soap. Make sure to bring a longer charging cable to be able to charge a phone next to the bed, as the power sockets are situated not very close to the floor or a table.
Cons: The second appartment that's being rented by CoucheCouche is situated on the upper levels of the building, directly above the "room with bath". The rooms are very noisy, but we were lucky with our calm upstairs neighbours. You can hear every single step, word and cough from upstairs, so be sure to bring your earplugs. Adding some carpet upstairs wouldn't go amiss to at least dampen the footsteps... We were less lucky with our nexdoor neighbours though. At 8:30 in the morning came hammer and chisel sounds from nextdoor, sounding like a wall was being demolished. This sound was as loud as if it were happening in our own room. At times we were not able to hear our own conversation. "Luckily" it was almost time to check out, or rather "unfortunately", as the room really is terriffic! Pros: Kris was very helpful, gave us plenty of useful information for our stay. The location is very convenient, a 20 minutes walk from the centre. Beautiful bathroom, amazing bed!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good location! Great host! The design is appealing! Rituals shower gel made our evening and morning!
Cons: Everything was great! For me it would be great if there were teaspoons, knife, fridge.

Pros: Large rooms with designer furniture, delicious breakfast, city of antwerp is easy ro reach by tram, but you save a lot of money and nerves as you don‘t have to search for a parking space and pay only 3,80€ a day. Can recommend this to everyone who is looking for a bit more individuality and a bit more personal touch. Glenn is a great host, very humble and kind and with interesting tips in and around antwerp.
Cons: _
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast was great! Room and bed spacious. We had the double room with street view. Tea on the room and very nice bathtub. Parking was 3,80 cents a day. Inner City is easy to reach. Very clean. Wifi was excellent.
Cons: On the pictures are two pillows for each person, we only had one pillow for each. Sitting in the bed would have been more comfortable with two pillows. We had to pay the tourist fee (15€ for both, 3 nights). Would just be nice to be written (more explicitly) in the description or to be told in advance.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The apartment was very comfy and stylish. It had a nice view into the garden and tasteful furnitures. Glenn is a very accommodating host who can give you good advices for exploring the neighborhood or the city center. The best way to discover the city is by bike - there’s a public rent station (velo Antwerp) only few meters away from the b&b. The breakfast is very good and served in the family’s kitchen, so it’s very private and familiar. We enjoyed our stay and will come back.
Good 7.9
Pros: Breakfast was good. The room was quite big, very nice and clean. The bed big and nice. The bathroom is big and clean.
Cons: Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. I prefer a bit sooner. The television on the room is a bit small and the screen is not very sharp. The seats on the room are not very comfortable
Good 7.9
Pros: good facility, clean and comfortable.
Cons: not very hospitality.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The location was convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and spacious. It was in a quiet neighbourhood. Glen was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice.
Cons: We knew when we booked that the bathroom was separate but that was the trade off for getting the room for 90 euros which is what we booked but since then it has gone up to 95 so he made us pay that. Also I did not realise it was a shower over the bath.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really lovely family running the B&B. We felt welcome. Delicious breakfast and lively conversation.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Street parking available, fresh made breakfast, interesting house that was well renovated, perfect for a short term stay
Cons: Narrow stairs to the upper floor can become a challenge for large suitcases. TV screen definitely too small

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Love everything about the hotel
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The hotel was very pretty
Cons: The hotel was half under construction
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All of the facilities in the room were very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We also took advantage of the buffet on the Saturday evening which was excellent. Lots of choices and plenty of it.
Okay 4.8
Pros: Location was not too far from the city center. Better deal than other 4 star hotels (offered on line) with breakfast The beds were comfortable and firm enough.
Cons: I am very disappointed!. We were expecting a 4 star hotel but this is barley a 3 star hotel. 1) The smell or cigarette was all over our room and the staff were not very helpful !!! I went to the front desk and complained , the gentleman behind front desk was trying to help and maybe switch the room , but for some reason he is asking the lady (Emma) and she said there is nothing available and her solution was spraying the room to get rid of the smell of smoke!!!! Either they sprayed the room or not even didn't bother!!! since the smell existed until we checked out. We could not keep the door /window open at night since our room was facing the HWY and the noise was disturbing us. 2) We arrived at 9:25am for breakfast and the four trays of the warm food were gone!!! There was no staff in the restaurant and I told the front desk to send someone to the area. The fruits and other food items were also not fresh and not good quality. We were planning to stay a few more nights upon arrival but with our disappointment we decided to stay only one night. If Scandic wants to survive in Antwerp they must do something about this low quality service.
Good 6.7
Pros: Love the restaurant
Cons: Renovation, Noise, Cleanliness in Hallway, aged furniture and room in general
Mediocre 2.6
Pros: The location
Cons: staff are unprofessional, breakfast is bad specially the egg and sausage choice. Rooms are dirty. Electric plug was broken and we complained three times but nothing was done.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: clean room and air con was already running when we arrived so this was a great experience as outside temp was 33degrees, spacious room, food in the hotel bistro was delicious however we felt it was overpriced. we liked the fact that hotel is pet friendly, and we used swimming pool and sauna facilities and this was a great and relaxing experience
Cons: air con was too loud during the night in our room. overpriced restaurant
Good 6.3
Pros: The hotel has a vast parking lot. Nice bar downstairs. Staff very friendly. Convenient location for those travelling by car; there is also a good connection by tram 24, which stops close by, to the city centre. Coffee machine in the room and complementary bootles of water.
Cons: There are renovatin works in the hotel which is a nuisance for the guests. My room was not renovated yet, so rather worn out. It was noisy also throughout the night because of the loud, old air condition system, and when the window was open - from the highway nearby. Night lamps over the beds are located too close to pillows and can be dangerouse during the night! All that for a high price which is not justified at all.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Everything
Cons: N/a
Good 7.5
Pros: The new room We had a spacious new renovated room
Cons: The construction work. The room is not mouse cancellen
Okay 5.4
Pros: Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly
Cons: Massively overpriced for the quality on the junior suite. The room was dated and had a nasty smell, there was also building works ongoing that woke us up both mornings and there were loose and exposed wires in all the corridors. The swimming pool is so shallow you can’t turn around to swim lengths and the sauna doesn’t work. All of this could be forgiven if it wasn't so expensive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We stayed in one of the renovated rooms. Wow soooo nice and cozy. Beautiful design and very comfortable bed. Coffee machine, beautiful shower and we loved the colors chosen.
Cons: Hotel is still being renovated..... but they work a quiet as they can.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Bug infestation everywhere. Each one of my friends got various bug bites, we were not sure if they were bed bugs or what. I personally got 17 bug bites. My other friend got 32. I felt very uncomfortable due to the bugs flying around that we would have to continuously look for and try to kill in the room. We had to apply bug spray even before we went to sleep. In the kitchen there were also bugs everywhere as the kitchen is in open area to the outside and is open 24/7. The room was very hot and there was no temperature gage. It was a disturbing experience from the beginning, when we first checked in there was a large water bottle displayed as courtesy but the bottle was already open when we tried to open it. When we brought this up to the owner he said it was fine to drink (we definitely did not drink it). We were scheduled to be there for four nights but only stayed three because we couldn’t stand being there anymore and dealing with the bugs. Below is a picture of what the bug bites looked like.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The place is amazing, very retro :)

Excellent 9.2
Pros: Room was good
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Room realy good. easy parking. Convenient tram into town.
Cons: Poor and expensive breakfast. Very poor servicing of the buffet breakfast. Worst breakfast of our trip;.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful and the interior well designed.
Cons: The room wasn't spacious enough, and it was quite noisy with an open window, as it is next to the ring road. There was no airconditioning either.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice and Tidy. Good Service friendly
Cons: Next to a big Motorway. Very Loud when you Sleep with Open Window. Because Room has no Cooling Down Machine.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great location next to Ring. Free parking Clean room
Cons: Stairs to second floor... Elevator under maintenance. But that has been told before our arrive, so that was good. A bit costly breakfast
Okay 5.8
Pros: Rooms were quite spacious and were clean. Easy parking. Food in the restaurant was nice (once we got the correct orders!)
Cons: Unfortunately it was very hot when we there- there was no air conditioning or fan in the room which made the room unbearably hot, we had to leave the window open which unfortunately still didn't solve the problem and was very noisy with the road running behind and being eaten by mosquitoes - this is the reason for my low score as it just made for an unenjoyable night there
Okay 5.0
Cons: The hotel has no air conditioning, we asked for two rooms close to each other and they gave us rtwo ooms on different levels. Breakfast was also very. Poor. I would not reccomend this hotel
Good 7.5
Pros: Friendly staff, free parking, close to tram station, room was clean
Cons: No air conditioning in the rooms meant at some points made it unbearable due to the humidity
Good 7.5
Pros: The hotel facilities were fine, in general. A bit on the basic side, but in line with the cost. Everything was clean, and worked. Beds were fine and the shower was nice and big. Getting into central Antwerp really needs a tram (no 9 or 4) - which takes a little working out.
Cons: No screens on the window, so we got massacred by mosquitoes. It would have been nice to have a safe box in the room.
Good 6.7
Pros: A little bit out of the centre and a bit basic, but perfectly OK if you are just overnighting en route
Cons: A bit basic

Okay 4.2
Pros: It's clean and it's cheap.
Cons: Receptionist never smiled, welcomed us or even made eye contact - both on check in and check out. Were given two single beds - asked for a double and told this wasn't possible.
Good 7.9
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Parking expensive on site
Good 6.3
Pros: Basic amenities of a 3 star hotel Good breakfast The room was very clean
Cons: You can hear everything through the walls - from the room next door, to the hallway The elevator and lobby are in desperate need of a few retouches The lighting in the room could be improved.
Good 7.1
Pros: It was reasonably good,
Cons: Walls were not painted properly., Unable to find international sky channels.
Good 7.4
Cons: Free wifi is very poor when the hotel is full - it didn't work at all on weekends.
Good 7.9
Pros: Good breakfast and a good location but parking at the hotel is €20. On street parking is quite cheap though behind the hotel.
Okay 5.4
Cons: The hotel is very unclean, quiet old and definitely needs some repair works. Lobby is pretty nice, but the rooms...
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Is really good
Cons: No
Good 7.5
Pros: friendly personal and good value for money
Cons: the entire hotel needs a bit of re-styling but it doesnot bother much
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very nice and helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Location is good . Only 15 minutes walk to main train station and 30 minutes to the center.
Cons: Not enough lights in the room and coridors. Wife complains that not possible to do make-up in the bathroom...
Mediocre 2.9
Pros: Only that it is close to the Central station.
Cons: The carpet of the room and the bathroom were really dirty. Also the walls are thin, so you could here everything from the next door. Last but not least, the staff wasn’t helpful at all and it took them an hour to check us in because they were understaffed.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Where to begin? The whole hotel is a mess. The first thing you notice going in is that the walls are really badly painted and scratched, without any attention to details. Then, arriving in my room, at the eight floor, I got to "enjoy" the complementary air conditioning noise and vibration that was literally shaking the entire room. I tried to call the reception just to find out that the telephone was not working so I had to go downstairs. And the answer I got from the receptionist was nothing more than a "sorry". Also there is no coffee machine or tea maker in the room, had to go again to the reception to pay 3,5 EUR for a tea. It's the last time I go to this hotel and I don't recommend it at all.
