This is the fifth time that I've stayed at the Centrotel Hotel which is conveniently located between Larissis (red line) and Victoria stations (green line). On the green line, you can get to Omonia and then to Monastiraki. On the red line, you get to Omonia, Panepistimiou, Syntagma (hub), Acropoli, etc. The staff (Dina, Petro, Giorgos, Takis, Fani and Sylvia) are always helpful and cheerful in assisting all guests with many needs and questions. The large bedroom and bathroom with large, hydrojet bathtub/toilet/hair dryer are always immaculate and very clean. There are also a mini-refrigerator with complimentary water bottle (first day), safe, large closet space, desk, tv, bed stands, overhead star lights for restful ambiance, radio, phone, and balcony with table and chairs. I stayed on the second floor facing the one-way street, which isn't noisy when you close and lock the sliding shutter doors and sliding glass doors. It makes the room pitch dark for sleeping. The buffet breakfast offers fresh fruits, cereals, sausage, eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), Greek olives, fresh cut veggies, Greek yogurt and honey, homemade bougatsa, cake, spanakopita/tiropita, cheese, breads, French coffee, teas, juice, etc. You can also request a cappuccino. In the breakfast room, there is a bar for drinks and books to read. Everything is elegant and immaculate. The lobby floor has sea shells under a glass panel. The lanterns arranged on several levels add to the warm ambience. There is a stand of travel brochures. One elevator is for accessing the room floors and the other is for the safe underground parking with cameras. On this trip, I discovered Laki's Ouzeri in Victoria Square that offers fresh cooked seafood and is a 10 minute walk towards Victoria station.
Bedroom was exceptionally clean, lobby area was also clean. Very comfy stay, loved the breakfast too
Everything was perfect, just lobby area had a slight smell...only needed a little freshen up
Clean and nice decorated
Not having a better smaller pillow or a special pillow for neck syndrome
I am from the church of Jesus Christ. I wanted to visit the locations where apostle Paul was during his journey throuvh Greece. What a great experience. I liked the Hotel and staff.
We love the hydro as a part of relaxation after our long day. The usage of hydro has a time limit due to noises. Lots of alternatives for breakfast, i love their coffee as it's medium! When you go inside the hotel it looks decent, it makes you feel secure as it does feel unsafe in the neighbourhood. (Graffiti all over, dark areas abandoned houses, but not the hotel's fault, it is just how or where the hotel is located). I love their service, they have wine, beers and ouzo for like 3-4 euros, and desserts for 6 euros. They change the towels daily which is great! There is a local spermarket a block away.
They dont have minibar in the hotelroom, only two small water bottles but i think it costs. An electric kettle, cups and coffee or tea sachet would be highly appraciated if there is. They did not vacuum the floor as we were there for 8 nights, it was white stuffs on the blue rag, it felt dirty stepping on the floor. The bed is so uncomfortable, me and my partner got backaches afterwards, they only had two small, very soft pillows, unsturdy and low bed, even only had two thin duvet covers. The location aint that safe.
