Victoria Suites - Bad Saarow - Building
9.3 Excellent (923 reviews)
C$ 178+
Overview Reviews
Offering a restaurant, Victoria Suites are set in a beautiful country-style building. It is located in Bad Saarow-Pieskow, just 100 metres from the lake and 20 metres from the Bad Saarow Thermal Baths. Rooms at Victoria Suites provide a flat-screen TV, a balcony and a minibar. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave. Featuring a hairdryer, private bathrooms also come with a bathrobe and towels. Some rooms have a lake view. The elegantly decorated restaurant at the accommodation serves up regional dishes. Guests can also prepare a home-cooked meal in each of the apartments. At Victoria Suites there is a large garden and a terrace. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling and hiking. The property has paid on-site parking. Tegel Airport is 60 km away, and Frankfurt an der Oder is just 40 km from the property.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Apartment size very good, with nice air conditioning. Breakfast they offer a mini version for people that don't eat much like us, then the price is more fair and quantities more than enough. Nice garden in the back and close to strands to both directions if the lake.
Cons: During the day we missed a nice place to seat or lay. The couch is big but as it becomes a second bad it's not so comfy. Not big deal, though. Plus all three entrances requires you to lift the kinderwagen.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice apartment. The staff was very friendly and was able to communicate with me in English. We liked the location by the lake, the Therme and access to nearby shopping and dining. The bicycle rentals were an added benefit.
Cons: -The breakfast opened at 07:30 and therefore I was not able to benefit from this as I needed to leave for work by 07:00. Also, my wife went to breakfast at 10:35 and it was already shut down and cleaned up. It was supposed to be open until 11:00. When she asked if breakfast was open until 11:00, she was told "Yes" but was not offered any breakfast. It was cleaned up and over. It would have been nice if the waiter offered her something. -The Internet was not very good. It was hard for me to get work done at night because it kept disconnecting. The speed was not very good. -We were offered parking outside or in the garage. We chose outside parking at the cost of 3 euros each night. There was only maybe 8 spaces and so once I arrived after work, apporimately 6pm, there were no open spots. We should not be charged if there is no parking space left. Maybe someone needs to check and see if all that are parked out there have actually paid. -Bathroom shower drain was not draining properly and would flood the bathroom when taking a shower.
7.1 Good
Pros: location.
Cons: restaurant and internet is not working.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From welcome drinks to after care (we forgot something and they send it to us without additional charges) It was really great. Location view on the lake, next to the thermen, Faldo golf course. Great room splitlevel. Thanks!
Cons: -
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and the location is wonderful. We have been there last year as well and we thought we could come back this year too.
Cons: What we didn't like is that some of the rooms are VERY not family friendly. We have booked a room through and specifically wrote them an e-mail on the same day to confirm that we have a room on the first floor (you can't choose floors on We wanted a room there because we have a little baby that walks everywhere so we wanted her to enjoy the garden. But at checkin they told us we have a room on the third floor because of some technical mistake, which also on top of that had a separated bedroom through stairs and no baby protection when we asked. So all our vacation we were just worried for the baby not to go up and down the stairs and had to improvise a guarding device made out of chairs. They also mentioned that this room has a big terrace and yes it did but it also had a wasp nest right in the flooring so we could not enjoy that either. I don't think we will be coming back again unfortunately as it was too stressful of a vacation for our little family.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, location excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: The stairs to the mezzanine floor where the bed was, were a bit slippery. In particular, the bottom four or five steps. Some anti slip material on the steps would be helpful. I unfortunately slipped and bruised my back as I missed the bottom step and fell over. I should have been more careful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good Hotel near Termen and Sea
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff in the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant food was beyond expectations. The room was very big and only few metres away from Bad Saarow Therme.
Cons: Shower was flooding the bathroom, but minor issue.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great, location was great.
Cons: Our room was not clean at all, and for the price something as easy as cleaning should be standard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect position, right next to the Therme, walk in distance to the lake, surrounded by a lovely park. Nice barbecue in the garden.

Cons: One staff was rude by asking us to remain quite in the spa when we were only whispering and there was no policy called no word in spa people have fun so the staff shouldnt say this to guests

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service, amazing location and perfect SPA options! Highly recommended.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfest was very very nice
Cons: Room was very small, about 11m2
7.9 Good
Pros: Great staff, good Food, nice Sauna area and pool to relax. Going out for a walk with the lake Right in front of you, super nice! The Hotel is focused on german costumers only, Maybe thinking About foreigners who live in Berlin and look for an Escape Weekend outside of the City aswell.
Cons: Well the eye for the Detail. Not having air condicinig in the room can be very tricky, specially in the summer when there is 30 degress outside. Honestly it was the first time in my life I´ve stayed in a hotel without air-con and also the last. it can get really hard to breath. Specially if the bedding is not 100% Cotton!!! The bed for me was the worst of the worst. You can cover the bed with a duvet and a 80x80 pillow at home in Germany, but not a 4* superior hotel. People go to a hotel so they can Sleep well in a hotel bed, this bed had some issues: bed below the knee Level ( which you can ask any interior design and he can confirm to you that makes a huge difference in the Sleep specially in Hotels) , two matresses (with the division in the middle that you sink in), bed linon that is part Cotton and part Polyester( NOT 100% COTTON AS IT SHOULD BE, MAYBE DOING A BIT OF INVESTMENT HERE) which is the worst if you cannot use sinthetic , not a nice comfy to bed that you see a good night of Sleep ahead of you as you see in most 4* superior Hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Possibility for charging the electric car. Pet friendly, no children, very nice spa area with pools. Really delicious breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is always very clean. Many different Sauna options. No matter how crowded it gets you dont feel it.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very well organized, super friendly staff and very clean property. The room was in a nice location, very quiet and the beds and pillows were comfortable.
Cons: The only downside we can think of was that if the property is very busy the breakfast area can get very crowded, even though they have two seperate places to eat breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was perfect
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location - but you need a bicycle to visit the city and the closer environment You can rent bicycles from the Hotel, not included. Breakfast very good, large selection of food, Italian coffee.... Staff so far friendly and helpful, Very good idea, you can skip the daily housekeeping of your room, therefore you get a little bonus for the spa
Cons: Price for parking a car 9,50€/night, too expensive, but you can find free spaces nearby down Silberberger Straße You must use the elevator, stairs only for emergency, so you have sometimes to wait longer to come down or up
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The perfect place for a romantic and relaxing weekend just outside of Berlin. The hotel is great and offers everything you need to relax. The facility is just in front of the lake so you can go for a walk or a jog, rent a boat, or enjoy the different restaurants. We've spent a lot of time in the spa of the hotel, it's clean and offers so many options (normal swimming pool, hot pool, sauna area, treatments).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good variety of restaurants, great spa area, near the lake. Breakfast with freshly cooked eggs.
Cons: Breakfast was crowded. But it also was weekend and the hotel fully booked.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very nice! They had a good variety of many dishes for breakfast. As there were some construction works on the roof (what we hadn't recognised until then), we received a free glas of champagne as an apologize. Besides, we had a beautiful view to the lake while we had breakfast.
Cons: They could change the pillows. They're super old and too flat...nice touch of vintage, but not nice for a good sleep!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was rather good as was the breakfast, location is wonderful
Cons: Internet was a bit of a joke. I couldn't watch TV as cannot speak German ( I know, I should try harder!), so thought Id watch a film on Netflix, didn't realise although its advertised "with wifi" its such a small amount of data that could only watch the first 10 minutes before "data allowance used" Come on we're in 2019! Great view all around and a nice hotel. I also need internet for work, so probably won't use this Hotel again!
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good and tasty with a great variety, in a nice "old school" restaurant with lake view. Room was okay, clean, amenities included bathrobes. Territory around a hotel is very nice. Possible to rent bicycles for reasonable price - 6 euro.
Cons: Actually I wouldn't rate this hotel with 4 stars. Personal wasn't very helpful. I was the one who asked about discounts for therms, free of charge bus from hotel back to station. They didn't say anything about renting bike service or spa center they have. Nothing. We have to wait for somebody at the reception deck for 10 minutes once. Also I had a birthday at that day and I think that 4 star hotel can give at least small compliment. Corridors are a bit old. No personal amenities (shampoos, shower gel), only big common bottles.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: lamp beaming into the window during the whole night
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, tasty breakfast
Cons: No elevator, not working Internet, not friendly receptionists
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super płace hihjly recoment. Breckfast is super
7.9 Good
Pros: Beautiful area right on a pristine lake. The hotel is clean and well taken care of! Staff was overall lovely!
Cons: The food was overpriced for the quality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The setting next to the lake is incredible, as is breakfast on the terrace. The staff are lovely and very helpful.
Cons: The WiFi is limited and hasn't worked either time we stayed. The restaurant is expensive for what it offers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is a blast. We stayed in the junior suite with look over the lake. The garden and access to the lake is beautiful. It is quite so that you can really relax.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank You very much for Your help and assistance with my late arrival! Very nice and pretty big room, comfortable bathroom, easy parking and fast internet.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice views, cozy cute hotel
Cons: Very few options for breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very good breakfast choice and as much as one wanted. bathroom clean and well provided with towels, toiletries, etc. staff very helpful.
Cons: No air conditioning in rooms. No room safe for valuables.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities, excellent location by the river, excellent restaurant with a terrasse by the river. Peaceful and comfortable. Friendly staff.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Pretty quite place, and we really enjoyed our stays before. But not this time (see negatives)
Cons: We knew the breakfast is super basic, so no surprise this time - very limited choice. But this time we came to this hotel specifically for nice dinner and overnight stay, as it was not really inline with our direct travel route. However, the staff refused to accept us in restaurant for dinner, as they had a closed event (but there were free tables). After some "begging" (as it is small village - not many choices for a weekday), they agreed to gives us a table at 8 PM. And only when we came, they declared it will be inside (it was more than 30 degrees with no AC) and with limited choices, as "staff is busy with other guests in the event"... As it was unacceptable, we refused and went for some basic salad in the village. Hotel was on our list, pity now it is gone - they lost us as loyal customers, because of such behavior.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very modern spacious room with balcony overlooking the river and park. Good restaurant.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice and well-maintained hotel in a central location right next to the river. It only took us a few minutes to walk into the centre of town. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff as well as the quality of the breakfast. The hotel restaurant was outstanding.
Cons: The weather conditions during our stay were really quite extreme, so a room with air conditioning would have been preferable. However, the hotel rooms are equipped with very heavy curtains that block off the heat quite effectively.
A-Rosa Scharmützelsee - Bad Saarow - Building
8.6 Excellent (3,708 reviews)
C$ 287+
Overview Reviews
Located in Bad Saarow (Oder-Spree District), A-ROSA Scharmützelsee is within a 10-minute drive of Stan Eby Golf Course and Arborafabula - Kletterwald Bad Saarow. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Bad Saarow? This hotel has facilities measuring 7535 square feet (700 square meters), including a conference center. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a train station pick-up service.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The the beds were extra big and cozy, the sauna was also pretty alright.
Cons: The overall quality of A-ROSA is sub par. They are cutting a lot of corners and it shows. This is particularly evident in the quality of food they serve. The prices for what they serve are criminal- canned creamed soups and microwaved TV dinner quality meals. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day tearing their operation apart. By far the worst quality I have ever experienced. Bleck! I stayed three nights and by bill was 592€ full of mischarges and when I paid in 600€ cash I was not given any change! Pickup was arranged by the hotel which was lovely. However the return transfer was not included as agreed- I was ordered a taxi and paid 25€ For a few measly km. Also lots of black mold in the corners of the showers and bath. The steam room smells badly of fungus. Do not stay here if you like nice things!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and attentive staff. Great location. Excellent food.
Cons: Long walking distance from deluxe room building 3 to lobby, restaurants and spa. Spa treatments only available with one week advance reservations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Otherwise great
Cons: You can't stay at the pool the day of the checkout. I have not experienced this in any hotel ever.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good spa area and breakfast.
Cons: I didn't expect having to pay extra for parking (11€ per day). Parking fees is something you'd expect in crowded city centers, but hardly in the middle of nowhere in Brandenburg countryside.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic buffet both in the morning and in the evening. Nice spa area with large outside pool.
Cons: Parents should respect naked area and not to take kids below 16 there. It has happened more times during our short stay.
7.1 Good
Pros: The relaxing room in the spa was a wonderful place to sit and read my book.
Cons: The coffee was very poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is just fantastic! So many options to enjoy- walk by the beautiful lake and yacht club (very nice bridge!), cycling in the forests around, 4 golf courses❤️, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, kids pool, nice restaurant with outside terrace. Food is also great in the buffet option (38 eur per person) - my choice was tuna steak
Cons: Small but annoying thing - I was ‘lucky’ to get dishes with small scratches/broken pieces. I’ve even asked to change glass of wine as it had too sharp broken small edge :/
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. The spa section is great. The staff is friendly
Cons: Not everyone could speak English. No good restaurant around, so you don’t have an other choice that eating there, but also the problem is that they organise event and the only restaurant they have was not available. Last thing that was bad is that we needed to book for massages when we chose specially the place for this. But everything was booked.
6.7 Good
Cons: The hotel itself was quite nice, buffet totally overpriced and medium quality.

Anything that I asked for, the staff provided; i.e., a desk chair for my room, afternoon coffee, a quite place to read other than my room, etc. There is a restaurant at the hotel that is only for the guests. That made for a quite and very pleasant evening meal.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderful location for us as we were there for a wedding.
Cons: Despite it saying there were bikes on their website there are no bikes available at this hotel.

6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel is very well situated and the saarow therme was within walking distance.
Cons: Although we booked everything via and also contacted the property before hand, we had to assure them that we would be arriving on the planned day twice. Furthermore the breakfast room was to small for all guest, we had to sit in the hall.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly family hotel, Hiko was the best host!!
Cons: Everything was good!
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was a good size. Location is good. Wifi was excellent. Bits of antique furniture provided a glimpse of former glory. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The room clearly hasn't be refurbished in a long time. 1970's bathroom suite, mould in the shower, dusty blinds, weird mishmash of furniture. Stinky, recently re-plastered corridor but not painted and no sign of ongoing works. Cheap breakfast accompanied with Schlager! Untrained staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very relaxing weekend with SPA and pool. Breakfast was really nice and personal was very friendly. Would definitely recommend it!
Cons: Everything was great. Maybe a small lotion in the room would be helpful, especially in sunny days.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spa and breakfast were good.
Cons: We didn't have AC. :)
7.5 Good
Pros: 1. Room layout was great 2. Shower pressure was fantastic 3. Swimming pool best I have used so far 4. Breakfast was good
Cons: 1. No kettles to make tea in bedroom. You have to buy it at the reception for €2.50 2. No iron or ironing boards 3. Walls are a little thin. If a door is slammed elsewhere you could feel it. Quite scary sometimes you think it’s a mini earthquake 4. Worst of it is the WiFi. Very frustrating needing to re-login every time despite entering details of departure times. The speed is great but the re logging in was very frustrating. 5. I think food is very expensive in general.
7.9 Good
Pros: Thank you for the great getaway - the hotel was clean and new - we loved relaxing / swimming by the pool. Also the dinner and breakfast was delicious - my girlfriend had a massage and pedicure which she really enjoyed.
Cons: The only issue we had was that the room had zero air circulation so it was hot and stuffy all night...a staff person that night loaned us a fan but as we have a 10 month old baby we couldn't leave the window open so it didn't do much. At check out I was told that they turn off the room fan at night on purpose due to the noise it creates which we found very unfortunate.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast, very nice personnel. Fitness room well equipped and open 0-24. Sauna area large and clean with steam bath and regular infusions. Large indoor pool and a separeted pool for children. Bike and segway rental availible. Tennis and Golf court just next door.
Cons: There is no fridge (minibar) in the room. Sauna is only open from 13:30, I would have used it also in the morning. WiFi speed OK, but one ticket is limited to 1GB, you have to ask for more tickets if you have more devices. 11 EUR/day additional cost for parking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Noce modern facilities, very clean. Interesting room design.
Cons: A bit far from the lake , 10 min walk. It is very minor
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and great location
Cons: No air conditioner in the rooms and with weather as hot as 32 - it’s not very pleasant
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, we did not have a slightest problem. We travel with dog all the time and we weren't even charged for it. We could take him to the restaurant, there are nice spots for swimming as well. Our daughter had a lot of fun as well, there is a playroom in the restaurant and a pool for kids as well. Simply great experience.
Cons: I did not like only the fact we stayed there for two nights only.
7.1 Good
Pros: The pools are very nice however there are no blankets or at least towels in the pool area and the wicker loungers are very uncomfortable to lie on in a swim suit without any pillows or blankets.
Cons: Location is not great, no access on foot to any store or restaurant. Beach is lovely but very small and also about a 15 min walk away. The hotel itself has a small area to lounge around the pools but the only access to it is through the pool bathrooms - there is no other grassy area to sit around in, read a book or relax. The rooms are not equipped as one would expect from a 4star hotel. No fridge, no water cooker or coffee Maschine, no air conditioning (it was very hot) - and no mosquito nets in the windows so we could not keep them open to air it out. Heavy winter blankets in the middle of the summer were also not ideal considering lack of air conditioning. We were given 2 towels for our entire stay including the sauna and the pool. Even small things like tissues or alarm clock were missing. The room equipment is more of a 2-star hotel with weird curtains all over that gave it a very strange messy feel but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The funniest part is they claim that due to climate change cleaning is reduced to once every 2 days but one can still get fresh sheets and fresh towels ;-). So they’re saving environment not by not washing textiles as often, but by not having to pay their employees for daily cleaning. All in all not a bad experience but there are cozier hotels around with better room amenities, location and more of green space to lounge and relax.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: A simple and clean hotel with key amenities. Location is very quite, the room was spacious, staff was friendly and spoke good enough English.
Cons: Our room didn't have a fridge. I thought 3 star hotels should have it...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful; they made me feel welcome. I requested hot milk for my coffee in the morning rather than the coffee cream that was provided. The gal always brought it with a smile. The setting was fabulous. I went away to get some professional work done and knew I needed an environment that was tranquil and restful. The lake and wooded area by the hotel, along with a quite environment in the building, provided exactly what I needed.
Cons: The woman who took care of the rooms just knocked on the door and asked if I needed anything rather than coming in and cleaning the room and checking supplies. The grounds near the front of the hotel and the parking looked like it hadn't been cared for at all. It definitely didn't affect my stay, but it was something I noticed.
