Excellent location to visit the old Douro as Well as Porto. Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast and good restaurant.
The beds are on the hard side, but the staff helpen is well with a solution for this.
The restaurant decor was charming as well as the hotel. Loved that it was so quiet and relaxing.
Our friends had a bad meal. The veal was tough and they had problems getting it cooked to their liking.
The swimming pool and the surrounding area. Restaurant was excellent. A very good breakfast.
No kettle in the room.
Very friendly owner and staff. Very cozy, comfortable, calm and lovely hotel. Very nice garden, very good breakfast. Great place for relaxing. Good for families with kids.
Nothing about the hotel. But the village is small and not close to bigger towns in the region. There is a small convenience store and that's it.
Casa do Almocreve is a wonderful guest house, and the swimming pool is set in beautiful gardens. The bedrooms are spacious, and immaculately clean. The hosts could not have been nicer, helping us out with local knowledge, and suggesting day trips to places not particularly well known to tourists. It has a lovely ambience, with excellent Portuguese cooking. They were also ultra fast at fixing our leaking air-conditioning, having an engineer on site within an hour to put everything right. An excellent guest house, only a few minutes drive down to the Douro River, where you can pick up a train for an amazing train journey.
