I like this place because very homey, hostel + cafe, Strategic place and the staff is good
So far is good, i think at rooftop u should make a good place like build a decoration
The location is very convenient to the BTS and also Silom road. The option for a private facilities room is good. The accommodation was modern and kept very clean and comfy bed. Love the bar / coffee shop on the ground floor.
The room we had was on the front of the accommodation and was very noisy - you will need earplugs to sleep. The smell from communal toilets was a little off putting in the corridor
The staff were friendly, showers were nice & big with good water pressure, and the location was fantastic. A minute walk to the BTS, only two stops south to the pier to catch the ferry, and only three stops north to Siam. Also, a 10 minute walk to the MRT. There are markets in the streets behind the hostel, and two 7/11's just down the road. There is a shopping complex a 7 minute walk up the road on the way to the MRT, and Lumpini Park is in that direction as well if you're so inclined.
The common room was unusable. It was hot because the air conditioning was never on and the door wouldn't close, there were ants everywhere so you couldn't sit at the table, and there were lizards running around (admittedly, this is unavoidable in Thailand). So I always ate out. This hostel is not meant for a stay of more than a day or two. My room also came with bedbugs, which the staff were unable to do anything about. The staff were very friendly and apologised, but the bedbugs did put somewhat of a dampener on my holiday.
The AC worked well in the rooms and there's an elevator. Breakfast is provided, though all you get is bowl of cereal and toast with jelly. Bathroom is spacious and wifi works well.
The rooms are crowded and the curtains were old/smelly. Breakfast is just toast and cereal.
Had stayed at the property once before and liked it so chose to stay again for a few days in Bangkok. It is in a great location and offers good value for money and a decent breakfast. Most of the staff speak excellent English and are super friendly and helpful also but one on checkout was less so...
The first room we were checked in to had not been cleaned and there was a lot of trash in the room but after going downstairs to complain the staff apologised and moved us to another room. This room was very airy but a little odd as the high ceiling seemed just to be covered by some insulation sheets which weren't secured very well, then the room was quite noisy at night at the skytrain and a main road are right outside. The final thing which wasn't great was on checking out (at 3am as we had to go to the airport) was that I had some issues in Thailand having lost my credit card and the grab taxi price turned out to be 15baht more than the last cash amount I had left. I explained to the staff that we were leaving Thailand and couldn't pay with card as I had lost the card but was 15baht short so could they please do me a favour. I didn't think that was too much to ask since I had spent thousands there on lodgings and food but the man working at night said he could not. I understand there was no obligation here but it left a sour taste upon leaving and thankfully I was able to agree with the taxi driver to give him all the cash I had left. All in all, I wish I hadn't paid for a cup of tea with Good One Hostel the night before.
