Pros: Very easy to find. A very interesting and enjoyable log cabin style. A restaurant is part of the property. Beautiful surroundings. The restaurant has great food for dinner that is very reasonably priced and the breakfast is delicious. Fast internet also.

Pros: It had just the folksy atmosphere and decor we were looking for! We're on a driving holiday, and this made a great base for visiting Banská Štiavnica, the Calvary, and the Svaty Anton manor house. We stayed two nights. The second night there was someone in the room next door, and we could hear his coughing very clearly, so its not very soundproof. We wear earplugs, so no big problem. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had doors!! No water all over the bathroom floor. The restaurant was very nice for relaxing in at the end of the day, with a couple of drinks and a good meal.

Pros: This is possibly the nicest hotel I have stayed in Slovakia. The staff are amazing and friendly, and the room is comfy and spacious. The view of Štiavnica is unbelievable!

Pros: Good value. Clean room, larger than expected and a great view over the town from the balcony. Great outside space and the food was really good. Fantastic breakfast and the dinner we had there was lovely.
Cons: The room was very dark so some brighter light bulbs would really help. Also an unfortunate smell in the bathroom which was obviously a known problem due to the amount of air fresheners in there. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Pros: Great location with panoramic view on the valley, comfortable free parking, good wifi, breakfast and the food in general is very good as well as the service. Vine selection is a nice addition to the food at any time. Recommended!
Cons: Nothing was wrong, small details can be improved in the room e.g. bathroom door. Opening hours of the kitchen could be longer. 8pm is a bit early

Pros: The hotel is situated in the historic centre of the town with easy access to many of the amenities / tourist attractions. The staff are helpful and friendly. I stayed in the 'izba Wilkensonova' which is simply spectacular - a large traditionally furnished room with a beautiful domed ceiling. Everything clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay again.
Cons: Parking is quite expensive - 7 euros per day at the nearby public car park. A free car park is available behind the 'Potraviny' in the lower part of the town - close enough to walk, but a bit of a 'schlep' with heavy luggage on a hot day. WiFi is only available in the conference room, which also doubles as the breakfast room.

Pros: Fantastic location in historic hill town. We stayed in a character filled attic room of beams and truss pieces. The bath was compact and efficient. Breakfast in an elegant second floor corner room overlooking the street, with a good buffet.
Cons: No air conditioning on a warm day, and just a small dormer window overlooking some unused terraces of neighbors- was a bit sketchy to keep open at night for us. No elevator, but the stairs up are spectacular.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was fine. Room was fine. I do think it is amazing the amount of money that has been put into bringing these beautiful historic old buildings up to current travelers' standards, good walls, floors, bathrooms, etc.
Cons: Can't help this, but it was at the BOTTOM of a VERY long and STEEP hill going up into town, with no relief or benches on the sidewalks (cobblestone) along the way. A very long, hard, walk. I think it's more than a mile, at maybe a 20-degree grade (or more.) They forgot to bring us new towels the second day. There was no phone in the room, and no piece of paper in the room with the phone number of the front desk, to call for more supplies. Bathroom was fine but shower doors could use a little scrubbing at the edges.

Cons: Parking space is inappropriate - hotel guests have to move cars each day to let other guests in/out. It may lead to conflict situations (as it did in my case). Hotel's employees do not manage it well. They were not able to provide soap for 3 days. No paper towels in bathroom, not sufficient toilet paper supply, room cleaning only after 3 days. You have to request hairdryer at the reception (no info about it in the room). They do not inform in room flyers that massage is only 2 days in week available. 2 mattresses in king-size bed. Very simple breakfast. No food for people with gluten intolerance.

This was not done even after asking. Other that the staff was friendly. Need to speak a bit of Slovak to communicate.

Cons: There was a confusion with our booking, the hotel staff charged us for more expensive room than we actually stayed in. In the end we got the money back but the lady at the reception was a bit lost and confused about our complaint and request. Plus very expensive breakfast!

Pros: We had a lovely view of the New Castle from our hotel room. For the two of us, the room was more than enough and the location of the hotel is a huge plus, as it is located in the historical centre with all the sights in a walking distance.

Pros: The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Nothing else.
Cons: The stuff was not very friendly, annoyed receptionist not willing to help. The room was old which would be ok if it would be at least clean. When we came we found trash in the bathroom. The toilet was broken and the lights above the bed were not working. The bed was uncomfortable. The breakfest was tasteless, not looking fresh, especially vegetable and fruit were sapless like served several days. Overall, it was below avarage and not worth the money we paid for it. We do not recommend this hotel. There are many better choices in Banska Stiavnica for the same price or even cheaper.
