The breakfast was fantastic, with fresh squeezed juice & freshly baked breads, cheeses, meats, cold options & cooked to order hot options. The views of the bay were terrific. Not many TV stations to choose from, but this is not a place to sit & watch TV. Siobhan even offered to ship me my rain jacket I had left in the town of Bantry. Lovely place! You'll not go wrong staying there.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location about 1 mile outside the pleasant/popular village of Durrus at the mouth of Bantry bay sea inlet and by the side of the quiet coast road to Sheep's head peninsula. Hosted by a lovely family, led by a very capable/friendly 'Gloria' who deserves praise for showing her well honed B&B skills at every turn making us very welcome for our three night stay. Large room with comfy bed and all modern amenities. Excellent breakfast fresh cooked each day served to restaurant standard, with fresh fruit, tea, toast & cereals, (by the third day I was reduced to ordering just bacon and eggs as I couldn't manage the full Irish). Gloria had good local knowledge guiding us to great local places to eat our evening meals and places to visit. Glad we stayed for 3 nights and we hope to return in the future.
Cons: Sorry Gloria I should have mentioned while still there the toilet seat in our bathroom was too small and (my pet hate) loose.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, hospitable and accommodating host. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, hotel worthy amenities in bedroom, lovely view and great breakfast.
Cons: Not a negative for most but worth noting for people with limited mobility that car park is at the rear of the property with a steep gravel path to the front door which opens straight onto a road, also property is 3km from Durrus Village itself along a dark, narrow road (which cars travel on too fast!) so location won't suit people who fancy walking to the village for dinner or a drink in the local.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great breakfast and helpful information
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very delicious!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I’m travelling a lot with my job so I’m used to staying in hotels and I have to say this hotel will not be matched for customer service, they could not be friendlier or do more for you.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Bathroom shower. Sea view. Breakfast was nice. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: Smell coming from bathroom (Like sewerage). Double bed was 2 single beds pushed together and very uncomfortable. Cobwebs in room. No Tv channels. Room heating was not the best. No control.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating staff who were friendly and nice to deal with. The hotel has a lovely view of Glengarrif harbour and is perfectly located to easily access the ring of Kerry and also West Cork. Couldn't recommend any more highly. Will definitely choose this hotel again when I am down in West Cork again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best Hotel.Stay ever...food, bedroom, view and staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, great views, comfortable room decorated beautifully
Cons: Room was a bit small but still really nice and although we were not offered menus at breakfast until we were leaving (was pretty busy at the time!) the fry buffet was really tasty with plenty other options too!
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast ok, scrambled egg ok. Room very small with no bath. staff pleasant especially in restaurant.
Cons: breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was one of the best if not the best I have had anywhere. There was the usual cereals and fruit but also fruit smoothies and oats, yoghurt and fruit compotes, cooked Irish breakfast but also Eggs benedict, omelettes, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and waffles made separately. Also a large honeycomb accompanied jam and marmalade and croissants. The hotel makes full use of the view across the bay in the restaurants. My bedroom, although small, also had a view of the bay and was very well appointed. I loved the two coal fires burning from first thing in the reception area. The staff was very attentive and remembered my name from the first day which I have never had in this area before.
Cons: the only thing I can think of is that I didn't see any newspapers except on sunday morning but that isn't so serious as there was a garage along from the hotel..I also could have missed them.

Pros: Staff were lovely and very accommodating with our late arrival. Breakfast is excellent
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The dinner plate was cold that the hot food was served on
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The water pressure in the shower was good and the staff were nice. The location is very good and central. There was a nice pub attached to the hotel.
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable -- you could feel the springs in the mattresses. They are in desperate need of an update. The heating didn't work but the staff were kind enough to bring up a portable rad. Still, this doesn't make for a comfortable stay.
