Think back to your dorm room in college. If you went to a public college. And your parents didn’t pay extra to put you in one of the nice dorms. Bare bones. Mattress is very basic. Room is clean and lots of space. Bathroom clean and hot water was consistent. Fantastic location in a fantastic neighborhood. Something to note is Villa Gracia is mainly a residential area that does not attract the tourists that other parts of Barcelona does. It is about 2 miles from Barcelona’s historical center. Villa Gracia has the coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants reminiscent of hip Brooklyn, but surrounded by a traditional/quaint Spanish neighborhood. Definitely plan on walking around one or two evenings to sit in Placa de Sant Joan, check out a few shops and get a drink at one of the many bar cafes. Mama’s Café, Elephanta (awesome gin and tonic bar with wonderful bartenders), and Polleria Fontana were our favorite spots to eat and drink. Residencia Erasmus was merely a cheap way for us to stay in the heart of the neighborhood of Gracia; it was nothing more and nothing less.
Close to metro station on the most useful line. Close to Gracia district.
This hotel has a very good location, easily accessible from Lesseps metro station. Also, very affordable (but see complaints...)
Our room was filthy. Cigar smoke, paint fumes, and mold were intoxicating, and the window was broken so we couldn't even air the room out. We asked to change rooms three times (and were told nothing else was available), and finally packed up our belongings and told the front desk we wanted our money back. Immediately they found a new, clean, already-made up room. (ten minutes prior there was "nothing else available"). More appropriately termed a hostel (or perhaps a half-way house), the Erasmus is truly awful.
the room was big.
Very good region and a very quiet place.
Very poor breakfast and itwas the same everyday. With the money we paid for breakfast in the hotel we could better buy ingredients for breakfast from the cheap supermarkets that are around and also you can buy very good coffee from the coffee machine in the hotel which just costs 60 cents. Also if you are late for breakfastt 5 minutes they will clean it all and there will be no chance of you getting any breakfast.
