Clean rooms, very well organized system, and a good price
The pictures show a gym at the property (a picture with dumbells with "Gym and Tonic" written on the wall), but the gym is not there. The place also has a very strict policy regarding whom you can bring to your room: Maybe I was naive, but I assume that when I book a room for 2 I am entitled to bring a 2nd person to my room?
The rooftop pool was the highlight, we could see sagrada familia and the beach from up there. We only walked 30min into the city center and to sagrada familia 25min, so we almost never needed the metro. The Cafe was cute and the prices fine. We arrived before the check in but we could leave our luggage at the facility. There was a cool sports bar just 2 minutes away. Also the Beach was very close, we also only walked 20min.
The room was quite small for 2 people. The Kitchen and our room where a little bit dirty.
Room is very compact but cleaned every other day and just what you need if you’re not planning to stay in the room other than to sleep. The pool is very nice but hotel is also walking distance (20mins) to the beach if you prefer. Also walking distance to the centre & nightlife areas (30 ish mins) and close to two different metro stops (then it takes 10mins to the centre) or about a 6 -10 euro taxi ride anywhere. Staff are super friendly and helpful. You also feel very safe as the hotel is very hard to access for non-guests. Restaurant adjacent has an excellent lunch menu.
I wished to pay by card at reception but the whole payment was taken from the card I put in as an assurance on booking.com. This wasn’t communicated to me before. Also room seems bigger in photos but it wasn’t really an issue.
Close to the metro, has a pool, modern aspect, easy check out, the staff (reception) speaks a lot of languages ranging from spanish english french italian and i think i've heard russian.
We had to do the check in at 3pm even though we were told at 12 on booking. First room smelt like puke, a saturday night à la vodka gone wrong, the staff had the worst time changing it, but finally did -> ended up doing the check in at 9 pm. The toilet ended up not working after they cut the water and then the hot one, throughout the whole day and the day after. The whole bathroom had mildew, but less than the first room which was just infected. The restaurant Forestera will serve you canned food or uncooked meat when you tell them "super super super done" and make you pay for it even though it made you sick. Some bartenders are sweethearts but others... Then in the morning we had to be woken up at 9am (remember how the check in was at 3pm), naked in bed, by some people who had just received our room. This made our key cards invalid and had to yell for help to be helped out of the inside of the hotel. After having booked for this hotel, the money was taken, but also an ADDITIONAL 550 EUROS. You'll hear about me again, not gonna let you charge me like that for more than what i signed up for!
Location, friendly staff and 4 rooftop pools.
Air conditioning in rooms very poor.
