I could not have walked around because it was a rainy weekend, But the place was amazing. Exactly what I needed.
The cabanas and pool and grounds were beautiful. All of our meals were excellent and gluten-free requirements were met with no issues. Service was excellent. Sleeping Giant Cave tour with Pedro was outstanding!
,The hotel room itself is lovely, spacious and very clean.
The room we selected, the riverview suite, was extremely overpriced for the value. Unfortunately, as we booked early, we discovered we could have paid 50% less if we waited until last minute to book. The room itself is beautiful, that is without question, and the property has beautiful fauna. However, we were displeased with the level of noise on the property and heard from our room, and our dining experience. The property is pictured as being in a very private and secluded spot. However, it is less than a mile from the highway and the view from our room was looking right at it. Trailer trucks went by regularly and we heard each one of them loudly as their sound carried through the valley. The room is surprisingly poorly soundproofed and, in addition to road noise, we could hear other guests loudly partying outside throughout the night. There is no wifi or TV in the room, and therefore nothing could be done to try and block out the noise. We travel with a white noise machine and even that didn't do it. The food at the hotel is also mediocre at best. Dinner was ok but underwhelming, but breakfast was poor. The coffee was weak and bland, and the food was incredibly disappointing. Also, a resort fee was charged on our bill for each meal, suggesting to us that we were being charged to eat at a property we had already paid a hefty price to stay at, Drinks were ordered at the pool, and after 20 minutes the bartender admitted to forgetting to make them, Overall, we were expecting a much more private, peaceful and gourmet experience especially for what we paid. Thankfully we had spent the rest of our trip at a better property.
Good location good staff
EVERY thing. WOW! Felt like being in a movie set. Unreal. Can't believe this place exists! The grounds are amazing! The pool is spectacular. Our room was excellent. I better be careful, they'll raise rates. She loved the Flora and Fauna....the peacocks.
I didn't like it was so short of a stay.
