7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent sea view!!! Nice breakfast, quite a selection of food! Very nice parking boxes, all automatic and well organized!
Cons: Hotel is not accessible by car and you have to check-in first to get to park your car and the parking is not very close to the hotel. Could be a problem if you have lots of luggage. You end up paying for parking on the street, quite far from the hotel, only to get a key to the parking lot and pick-up your car again to park it in the hotel parking lot. Quite a hassle, especially if you are tired from the trip to the hotel itself.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: View of beach and velodrome across from hotel. People on funky bikes was very entertaining
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfectly situated on the promenade with excellent sea views
Cons: Not quite as big as we expected. The health club is a separate place. Thee was some now se from the velodrome opposite depending on wind direction.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything's was perfectly!
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel needs a star more ! if I may only make one comment have a bottle of water in the room. But I can advise this hotel to everybody. Everything was done with love Bart
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing big rooms with panoramic sea view, very clean and modern bathroom, friendly staff. We couldn't wish for a more central location
Cons: Parking :( you can park at the hotels parking (just few places) but not later than 8PM and the car can't be moved between 8PM - 8AM which is a bummer if you want to travel around. There are several public parking places around, aprox 15eur./10hours

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent locations. Breakfast beyond expectations.
Cons: Check-out max 10:30 AM not ideal.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice historical building, right in the center of everything. Very quiet and peaceful place.
Cons: The guy seem to be tired at the reception, check out at 10:30, so very early and didn't want to extend... Everything he did was with a struggle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and amazing breakfast, also staff were very nice!
Cons: Perhaps bathroom needs a little bit renovation. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was nice and very nice breakfast would stay again
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff at breakfast assisting us with the highchair; apart from that, the selection of food is very broad. Furthermore, the hotel has all facilities required for a convenient stay with a little one (microwave, highchair and baby cot).
Cons: There is some construction work in the neighbourhood (road works) which make navigating around a bit harder (as the parking spots are a small drive / walk away). Probably this will be resolved in the coming months as work is finished.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and breakfast were amazing. kind and helpful staff.
Cons: The hotel charged me an extra 12 euros more than the price indicated in my booking confirmation, which I found unreasonable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quite place and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing just was far from bridges the city which was the target for the trip
9.6 Excellent

Gatsby Hotel - Blankenberge - Building
3
8.9 Excellent (346 reviews)
C$ 171+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Gatsby Hotel in Blankenberge, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Zeebrugge Harbour and Belle Epoque Centre. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. The hotel is trying to sell itself as a four star hotel. It is almost there. The rooms are lovely but the common areas such as the corridors are very shabby. It just needs to be finished. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The parking was a rip off. 25 Euros for 1 night. I do not recall this being mentioned when I booked. It left us feeling quite negative about the hotel right from the start because you really didn't have any option other than to pay it. For the price you pay to stay I think they need to find some better parking options for their guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel decorated with style, all details have been thought. The staff is very friendly, rooms are beautiful with a very comfy bed and the breakfast is exhaustive and delicious!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was very comfortable, new and clean. Nice spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The rest of the hotel seems like it is in the process of being updated but seemed a bit messy in comparison to the reception area and the rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Completely new renovated Hotel. Still, some areas are not yet finished (yard, coridors). Rooms are super clean. Breakfast is amazing (from salty to sweet, different kinds of fresh breads, fresh egg variations, coffee variations & tea, juices etc.). Staff extremely polite and attentive. Location is perfect: 5min walk to the Beach. 20mins by car to Bruges. 15mins by car to Knokke-Heist. Personal comment: we experienced Blankenfelde rather as a place for older generations or families with children.
Cons: The renovation of the hotel is currently still work in progress. Means, there were still some quite loud construction works in the Morning, which better could have been done during the day, when guests are outside. Additionally, we were missing some elements in the room (e.g. toilet paper holder, toilet brush, shower gel holder, heater in bathroom). I assume, to balanace that unconvenience, the Hotel currently gives the mini-bar for free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room and location!
Cons: Could only check in at 3pm even if we arrived at 1pm
7.9 Good
Pros: Big room and clean, really comfy bed and great bathroom with shower/bath! Close to center/beach.
Cons: Breakfast for 20 euro per person.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: -The breakfast was excellent, one of the best I have had. Lots of choice, fresh food, tasty. -It is located very close to the beach while not being beachfront (osteende is sort of a concrete jungle so this is good). - Staff is very nice. This is a family-held hotel so the atmosphere is “familiar”. - The hotel is being renovated at the moment and restored to its former glory. The rooms therefore are really new and the materials used for the renovation are of high quality.
Cons: - no door in the bathroom - door of the room we had was no too sound proof ( this could be improved)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location (5 minute walk from the seafront) and quite decent breakfast. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: The room was a bit small.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. Hotel in good position for station to Brugge.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Very welcoming and agreable hotel manager. My goal was to stay only one night close enough to the sea and beach for sport, so this was for me ideal as a solo traveller.
Cons: Difficult to say, but the hotel is rather small, and the room was not very big (but I have not seen the other room!). Also, the bathroom window was, apparently, just done, and needed painting.
6.7 Good
Pros: nice hotel, quite on the beach; parking is not easy to find; Nice breakfast. >Clean room with large bathroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: the friendly staff.
Cons: the breakfast could be better.

Pros: Friendly staff and amazing breakfast buffet. The best location. Close to shops, the beach and easy transportation
Cons: maybe provide iron & iron board
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing much!
Cons: They put us in the room that no Wifi connection and a very bad room!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great live music at the hotel bar on Friday evening, excellent selection of songs making young as well as the not so young guests dancing together. Loved the atmosphere I personally always love the breakfast - e.g. the fact that the eggs are freshly made in the kitchen for each individual guest. I also love the geographical location: in the main shopping street = as soon as the shops are closed in the evening, it is probably the calmest place in the whole town
Cons: everything was fine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was better than expected enough said
Cons: Fridge didn't work
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great. Very polite people always willing to help with everything. Clean room, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast (bread, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, yogurt, fruit, pastries, homemade jam, unlimited coffee and juice etc), on Sundays also live piano music during breakfast time. 3' walk from beach.
Cons: Still too expensive, but that is the price rate in the area. Parking in the premises was 15€/per night extra. And it is expense you cannot avoid, since the parking in the neighbourhood costs almost the same anywhere you choose to park. It would have been nice if the parking was free for the costumers.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is excellent. Owner and staffs are very friendly It is definitely worth to come back again
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All super, a good breakfast choice
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was in Blankenberge for photography, principally the Pier, and also some of the other towns along the Kusttram route. The hotel was perfectly located for the Blankenberge seafront and for the tram. The service and staff were excellent; efficient, friendly and easy-going. The lounge and bar were great, and I enjoyed relaxing and processing photos at the end of the day in a congenial atmosphere.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was positively surprised: The 'simple' room was small as I had expected, but nicely decorated, well equipped, and in very good shape. Really good value for money in an otherwise high-priced seaside resort. Breakfast was delicious with some choice, the staff attentive. Though the hotel does not offer parking, but there's a convenient public parking lot less than 100 metres away, during my stay even for free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had great staff , bar , breakfast, and was near the beach. They were all good at English and helped with where to go and maps and parking. I am 64 and have never come across such help and good staff at a hotel , you can tell why so many customers come back every year. The beach was so very good with so many things for the kids to do. thanks , i will go back soon.
Cons: It was so good that i did not want to leave.

Pros: The staff was really friendly. The beds are comfortable.

Pros: The decoration
Cons: Extremely uncomfortable bed Poor breakfast No value for money
7.9 Good
Pros: Ligging is TOP!
Cons: Airco
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. The sea view from the room is breathtaking. Breakfast was good. Plenty to choose from. The staff was very friendly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Hotel was great, perfect for a short getaway to the Belgian coast. I'd recommend to take a room with view on the sea, as it's really amazing to fall asleep with the sound of the sea and that beautiful sight. Breakfast was really good as well(fresh pastries, bread, sandwiches, selection of cheeses, ...)
Cons: The coffee at breakfast wasn't really good, but I suppose not everything can be perfect! Breakfast room felt a little crowded without guidance from hotel staff(people running around without finding a table to sit, pushing people aside etc). A person from staff welcoming people would totally resolve this!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: View, staff, breakfast, decoration, location
Cons: Shower could be better
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, although there were no variety of vegan food. There is a garage for the hotel guests but you need to book it in advance. (It’s quite narrow)
Cons: No air conditioning in the room, could have been little bit cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Direct access to promenade and beach. Great restaurants directly next to the hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate. And juice.
Cons: Our room had a couple of issues. Eg the sliding wardrobe door was stuck. Someone came to look at it very quickly. He lifted the doors back into their rails but we could only move both doors together - so the wardrobe was always open.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Staff weren’t helpful and he was answering phone call while he was serving me , it was road work right outside the hotel and we struggled to find the hotel we had to park couple of road down and walk there. Bed sheet didn’t feel clean. Not secure lift and very old
Cons: Nothing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and very quiet hotel. Really helpful staff - very welcoming and informative at check-in! Excellent location for train station and beach.
Cons: On very hot nights the lack of air conditioning was uncomfortable. No other issues though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good, very friendly staff, I have been here several times, getting better every time, I will be back.
Cons: NA
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good, close to the beach...just a 150m away. Clean room
Cons: I will point out 3 things: 1. The problem were the ongoing road jobs just in front of the hotel which means you couldnt reach it by car. Parking "garage" is 200m away from the Hotel even do it does not state when you make your booking. It pays 18eur/day, too much in my opionon. Fits only 2 cars. 2. Water pressure from pipes is funny. You can barely wash your face with that pressure coming out from pipe. 3. Personaly, I hate when there is no one after some 8/9pm at the front desk, but fine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, and were very informative about places to visit and restaurants. They even told us about the best chocolate shop in Bruges. Parking was in a private garage just around the corner, it was easily accessed and saved a lot of stress trying to park which was expensive. The buffet breakfast was varied and very tasty Would definitely recommend as the central position is fantastic for walking about.
Cons: The room was adequate but could have been a little bit bigger.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Staff great and polite, rooms nice
7.1 Good
Pros: Location to beach &promenade, lots of shops & restaurants , it's also a short ride to Brugue 20 mins , you can easily hop along to the other beaches such as Dr Hanne, Oostende, all the way to Dr panne on the tram.
Cons: Parking just along the road, but it's a one way system so you have to drive a bit round the streets to find the entrance , it's ok once you navigate it, only thing is they close the gates at 9.00 o'clock in evening so make sure you have everything you need out of car.

Pros: The room was lovely and the bathroom was excellent beautiful hotel and perfect location. We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Couldn’t find fault with anything
7.1 Good
Pros: We found it a bit high priced for the room the windows outside the hotel would look much nicer cleaned I know it’s a seaside resort but looked shabby outside. Bedroom bathroom and breakfast were immaculate and the reception was really helpful. We would stay again

Pros: Clean and helpfull staff
Cons: Alivator
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and tidy and a great location and a good breakfast
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The breakfest very basic, there was a leak of waste water from the upper neighbour and it ran on the wall on my bed and on the electric switch. The staff said they can’t place me elsewhere because the hotel is full and the leak can’t be fixed because the technician is on holiday. I was afraid that if the uppervneighbour takes the shower at night, the wet electric switch or cables could take fire! Also the only parking possibility on the streets for 15 eur/day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Its realy close to the belgian beach, but still so calm at night.
Cons: After a certain time at night there was no hot water anymore, but daytime it eas ok.

7.5 Good
Pros: Beachside rooms are nice and have a fantastic view. Great breakfast with all you need and supernice staff.
Cons: Cheaper rooms are much smaller with old equipment (hairdryer looked like the tube of a vacuum cleaner from the 80ies) - the upcharge for the nicer rooms is worth it, a stay in the cheap rooms is not worth the price. Staff at the reception only partially helpful. The window of the nicer beachside rooms are not water- and windproof so one night our rooms got flooded and no one came to help or at least give us towels. Also shower didn’t work properly.
7.1 Good
Pros: Wellness area superb.Underground parking convenient but expensive
Cons: No room service in 4 star hotel. No info in room about hotel . They give you a small card in lieu.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is based right in the beach at the centre of everything you want to visit in Blankenberge. It’s a 10 minute walk to the train station and a few minutes walk to the tram if you want to explore elsewhere.
Cons: The room was not what I was expecting having stayed here before I thought it was a lovely hotel, however this time we were based in a room at the back with a view of apartments. The shower didn’t work and we were told we could use the public facilities by the pool until it was fixed. The room was extremely hot even though it wasn’t hot outside making it difficult to sleep.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Very old,he don't despre 5 stars at all...
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast an excellent location
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Room was more a dark room, chairs and bed not very comfortable. Massage treatments are a joke.
7.9 Good
Pros: It is perfect place, just in front of the beach, really fantastic beach view. There are plenty of playgrounds for kids on the beach near to the hotel. And it is for free. And at the back of the hotel, there are also plenty of restaurants, bars and mini golf, playground. The stuff is very friendly. The room is big and comfort. There are heaters in the bathroom and bedroom.
Cons: There was no shower with warm water in the swimming pool. At least I didn't find out.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff really helpful. Perfect location close to the beach and close to plenty of bars and restaurants.
Cons: Nothing fundamentally wrong, but the hotel definitely deserves some update works. Toilet separated from bathroom and sink (usual in this region, but not my favorite setup)

Pros: Good Breakfast, good location.
Cons: No parking, (Multi-story car park a long walk and 35 Euros for the weekend). Breakfast was good but started at 08:00hrs (we were here for the Belgium international walk which started a earlier, therefore would have liked breakfast to match the start times, as 90% of the guest staying were doing the walk ). Pros: thought the room would be a bit bigger for a family room and we had not coffee or tea facility's
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean and the staff were very polite - only thing I would of say that could be done better is a better selection for the breakfast buffet - it was either french pastries and meats or cereal. Would of liked to of seen a little more.

Cons: Nothing really older style rooms but an old building and would be hard to update.Parking is a bit of an issue and cost around 15-20 Euro a day parking on the street with a parking meter (can pay by card) but we knew this before we left so was no surprise.
