Wouldn't return
The location was great.
Everything was just about ok but I wouldn't advise using the "spa"as it's in serious need of a revamp. I also didn't appreciate someone elses' contact lens floating around in my bath. Several Christmas parties and 2 weddings were on when we stayed and the staff did try to give us quiet rooms and i don't blame them for the couple having a screaming argument outside our bedroom.
City Break
Great location, room wasn't ready but we were given complimentary drinks as an apology which was welcomed. Room small but comfortable and had everything we needed. There were lots of Christmas parties and we were advised at time of check in but we were put on 3rd floor and didn't hear a thing.
Breakfast was average. Twice housekeeping knocked on our door and gave no time before coming in but luckily were were not in a compromising state! Drinks in the bar very expensive (2 double rum & miser £27!!!!) so suggest going out instead.
Nice Hotel
Great location.
Real coffee in the room would be great, not instant. Ask for a room away from Hen Parties and music.
it's central
Absolutely awful night, sent to very shabby single room right above function rooms. party below so loud the furniture in the room vibrated until 1am. Then at 7am neighbours put tv on clearly audible through paper thin walls. worst night I have ever spent in a hotel.
Very comfortable bed
unqualified staff - there were party in the rooms all the night impossible to sleep.
soft wide bed
thin walls to corridor, so noisy late revellers disturbed us. Hotel staff did reproach them though, so not their fault.
Good quality, central for Bristol.
It was not an easy hotel to stay at. Examples, car park was complexed, door card cleared iteself at 11am (check out 12), gym was across road.
The hotel was lovely. At arrival the lady at the reception was very nice and welcoming. She (same lady) was also very kind and friendly on the day I was leaving. Both nights at the bar downstairs the staff was very friendly and professional. This actually saved my weekend.
I have got a premier room which was very good size, however it was very cold! Being there in October i would've thought the heating would be on. So unfortunately it was very uncomfortable and on the other downside, the water wasn't hot in the bathroom! So it was a very cold weekend for me. Also 2 out of the 3 lamps didn't work (the 2 bedside ones -which is a shame as I like to read in bed), in fact their power plugs were different style than the standard UK ones so I wondered how they plug them in anyway?? And the last thing, which is i know not the hotel's fault, but it was quite upsetting as both nights I stayed, my nextdoor guests were constantly drunk and very loud till 4-5am! So all together unfortunately it wasn't a relaxing weekend.
very good location for city centre
In one room none of the power sockets worked, in another the toilet seat wasn't fixed on. when we complained the staff were very unhelpful. Very few good english speaking staff
Clean, nice location
Helpful staff, location
Lack of internet connection services and small room
Very nice location in the old part of the city centre. The hotel is cosy and well-functioning.
There was a minibar in the room but it was both empty and locked. I asked could it be opened in order to put there some juice for the morning but that was not possible, since "the locks don't open very well". I suggest the minibars should be removed if they don't serve any purpose...
