Location is away from all the noisy and crowded tourist spots. Just a 5 minute walk to the center of town. Good simple breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and spacious room. Strong water pressure.
Only toiletry is liquid soap used as both shampoo and body wash.
Everything is good. But the wealther here is very hot.If. the hotel can provide a fan at summer time, that will be great!
Beautiul old building with 500-year history ! Extraordinarily welcoming owner Monica! She is the most euthusiastic owner/reception we have met in on this trip! Also thanks to her that CK town is the place that impress us the most during the trip!
The owner, very likable guy, was there to meet us along with his two charming children and wife. He apologized for his English although he didn't have to as he comunicated well, and spent time giving us great suggestions and locating places we might like to go on the map for us. The room was bright, cheerful, clean, and well-appointed. It was nice to be able to open the windows - the grounds where carefully tended, and they were lovely little gardens everywhere you looked. There was bottled water available to refill or just get a drink anytime you wanted right outside the tiny little cave office in the building. The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk into the main part of town, and at night, when the town may still be bustling it's quiet, and a good night's sleep could be had. Additionally, there is private, close by parking which is really really hard to find otherwise.
My husband and I ended up in the room adapted for those who may be handicapped. Everything was also fine for able-bodied people except for one thing. The shower. I would suggest one very small thing: Put some sort of holder in the shower so you can raise up the shower head. Although everyone appreciates a clean belly button, having the water hit you right in the tummy for the entire shower is pretty annoying. There was only one Outlet to use other than in the restroom, and that was near the front door. An outlet near the headboard would have been fantastic. I understood that there was no air conditioning, but a fan would be nice. When I asked if there might be one to borrow, the owner's wife said that they didn't have fans in the Czech Republic, that's what windows were for. However, our window opened directly to the outside breakfast area, open at 7 am. With windows open, that means you will be waking up at 7 a.m. and you will have no privacy. One small inexpensive electric fan could solve this.
Location next to river. View from the room. Onsite parking. Breakfast.
