Good car, lowest price at last minute
Pros: We decided to rent a car at the last minute, there wee very few cars avaialable. Our car was nearly 600 Euro for 1 week, much more than we expected, but still nearly 100 Euro less than the next company and 200 Euro less than Hertz. The drop-off was strange, no one gave me any paperwork but hopefully that will be OK.
Cons: The people at the car return were not very professional, kept talking to one another and ignored me for some time. They didn't give me any paper that certified that I returned the car. In retrospect, I should have insisted that they give me a receipt.

Pros: We had a nice upgrade and they gave us a brand new car. Help behind the desk was very friendly. Due to late arrival desk would have been closed but was still open.

Pros: Quick service
Cons: The pushing of the reception employee to upgrade to a higher car for almost 50% extra on my reserved class .
When I rejected ... he told me the car I requested in not ready and will give you a bigger and higher class car for the same price .
Later I found that he gave me lower class car which can not be compared at all with the one I paid for ..

Cons: to get in insurance the rental rate would have doubled. so I accepted a 25000 deductible. This is a bit unusual.

Another good rental
Pros: The car was well prepared and had no faults of any kind, and the price was competitive.
Cons: It would be helpful to tell drivers to enter Building 51 in the far right lane to get to the drop off zone. There are signs, but a reminder from Europcar would be helpful.

Pros: Great car and easy to drive.
Cons: Even if you are picking the car up on the " French side " of Geneva airport you still in Switzerland. So have to pay the vignette € 35 was a disappointment. It should be included in the rental cost.

Cons: They charged me the money that was not agreed upon and now I have to dispute it. They also charged me for something I did not sign, and I had to have my credit card company block the charge.

Decent car option in Geneva
Pros: Car was in clean, bee-like condition.
Cons: Pick up service was notably weak. The representative just left me for 20 min w/o warning to help her other clients. I made a note on this and no staff apologized.

Excellent car! Completely incorrect price when acc
Pros: The car was excellent. The AWD was helpful when driving in the mountains, the size was exactly what I had selected and hoped for, and the vehicle was clean and well-equipped.
Cons: The final price ended up being nearly $100 more than the quote price (which included "Taxes, Fees and Surcharges"). When pressed for an explanation at the Dropoff, the employee simply said "Well that's what it is, they are extra fees" and could not explain what they were for, why they were not included, nor provide any recourse for further information. It was completely unacceptable.

Cons: J'ai réservé le véhicule à mon nom. Un ami a pu récupérer le véhicule avant que j'arrive, sans mon permis de conduire, en mettant le sien et sa carte de crédit... Qui serait alors responsable ? Le réservataire, le propriétaire du permis ou celui de la carte ?
Aucun effort pour expliquer le système de rachat de franchise, ils préfèrent qu'on rapidement et donc sans.
Dans l'ensemble le personnel est assez désagréable...
Le tarif annoncé sur le site est sans tax, sans licence...

Cons: We reserved a Jeep and we got a tiny car. They also claimed the car was brand new and had no damage but it had 10k km and damage to the hood and one of the rims

Bad service, good car and value for money
Pros: The car and price
Cons: Location in the French side although was supposed to be in Swiss. We had to buy the Swiss highway pass. Couldn’t contact the company to inform about our flight delay and they cancelled our reservation.

Very nice staff, good car
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpfull ( Claire and Maktum in Geneve!).
It was not clear to me that my reservation would be ended after two hours after pick-up time. So there was no car reservated anymore.
Both Claire and Maktum were very helpfull in finding a similar car. It took a while because of some technical problems with the first choice, but after all it was a very comfortable and reliable car.
Cons: The fact that my reservation was not extended till my plane has arrived, but I didn't know that that should heve been indicated or phoned in advance.

Cons: Pick up inspection made us feel like we would be responsible for bugs on the windshield (not literally, but that was the impression. Overkill).

Cons: Difficulty at pick-up. Required to provide a flight number although leaving in the region. There was no mention of this anywhere on kayak's or wisecars' website through which the car was booked.

Website sent our reservation to the wrong company.
Cons: The Alamo company recognized the website made the error - but would not honor our reservation and told us we had to talk to the website company - it was not their problem

Great company and service
Pros: Representatives were super helpful and professional. Accommodating and knowledgeable.
Cons: Returning the car to the French side of the Geneva airport was a nightmare. We landed on the Swiss side and missed our flight. Our problem not the company.

Excellent
Pros: I rented a ford fiesta but they upgraded me to a jeep renegade for free. The car was perfect and I hadn't troubles with it at all. The customer service was brilliant too. The young lady explained everything in detail and was very friendly keeping us at total ease. I would surely prefer Hertz again and suggest it to others too. Great work!

Good option in downtown Geneva
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. It is a major plus that it is open on Sundays in Geneva.
Cons: It took a little too long, but not too much, maybe 10 minutes or so, to pick up the car, but it wasn't too big of a deal since we were not in a rush.

Horrible service
Pros: I had to cancel my reservation and was bumped between priceline and hertz a total of 4 times. Each saying the other was responsible for cancelling. I still have not received a message confirming the cancellation and that I have not been charged. I know that this is an automated bank to receive feedback but here's hoping you care about your customers to investigate and respond.

It was a bad experience with Hertiz
Pros: It was clean
Cons: They took extra money more than we agreed on the site with the insurance despite of your offer price which made me cancel another reservation because I thought you were better price and offers .I had an accident I lost the key and they didn't give me a nother car or a Spair key for the car and they sent someone to pick up the car and left us in the rain with my children in the highway waiting for the Taxi for 2 hours. .It will be the last time I rent a car from Hertiz or with your site if you didn't solve the problem.

Very misleading rental process with Kayak and Hertz in Geneva
Pros: Rental price was ok for Geneva, got a good car (Mercedes A class)
Cons: The online rental process is completely misleading and full if miscommunication (on purpose?):
The pick up location was on the French side of the airport, but until the last step of the booking process Kayak and Carrentals stated "Swiss side"
Usually no vignette for Swiss highways is included on the French side, so you pay CHF 40 extra
The car did not come with winter tires, not sure thst is legal

Challenges when collecting the rental car.
Cons: The rental company didn't accept visa debit card.
The rental was actually done by hertz. And from my experience hertz is very ridge and not friendly. I who'd prefer to know these things in advance.

It was a disaster!
Pros: You said it will cost 267 frank I end up paying 987 frank for different reasons. Some of it my fault but I wasn't expecting that at all and the website fee was completely misleading.

Strange customer service rep
Pros: The price of the rental car
Cons: The AGNET charged me two security deposites. One valued at 1600 euros which was not even registered in the rental contract. It was really fishy. Also, the agnet tried to rip me off by charging me additional 350 euros for changing the drop off location within the same city. i refused and eventually changed the drop off location at no additional charge.

Top tips for renting a car in Geneva
- Travelers with flights landing at Geneva Airport will be happy to hear that the airport’s rental car facilities are not only quick and easy to reach but also serve both the Swiss and French sides of the border. Car rentals for the Swiss side can be found on the Arrivals level near La Poste. To reach the rental desks for the French side, travelers must follow the “Destination France” signs and then go through customs. After that, the rental counters are by the Air France KLM desks.
- Right of way can be a bit confusing at times in Geneva, especially for those who are not used to driving in Europe. However, one aspect of right of way can be cleared up quickly and easily: yielding to buses. In Geneva you must yield to buses merging into traffic -- this is something that is taken very seriously here.
