This choice ensures a smoother and more convenient driving experience while exploring Haarlem's charming streets and attractions.

On major roads and some arterial routes, the speed limit might be 70 km/h (43.5 mph). Always adhere to posted speed limit signs and exercise caution, especially in densely populated or pedestrian-heavy areas. This is because speed limits generally varies depending on the roads or the region you are driving in.

"Raaks" and "Houtplein" garages are also popular choices. However, due to limited space and high demand, it's advisable to arrive early or consider using public transportation. Parking availability and costs can fluctuate, so checking current rates and regulations before your visit is essential for a smooth parking experience.

Pros:
The Ford Focus was nice.Cons:
Hertz runs a desk in an auto repair shop; the agent was fine, but mostly not there in Haarlem, having to cover other locations. This caused delays and required that I take a taxi to the train station. I would not have rented from a half-operational outfit like this, had I known of its marginal existence. Also, Kayak failed to list other options, such as the Europcar rental office directly across the street. On returning the car to Hertz, I had to use Europcar in my GPS to find the Hertz, since it did not show on the GPS.One location in Haarlem
