Watch out for location changes
Pros: I searched for a car at Houston Intercontinental airport. That is the ONLY location I put in. Got a compact for $59 for two days, and prepaid it. When I went to the airport location to get. Car and make my meeting, I get told by Hertz, no, this car is at some highway location 30 minutes away!! Price DOUBLE to pick up and drop at airport and I still don't know if I got credit for my prepayment!
Cons: Location was NOT what I requested and price was NOT what I prepaid. Called for help and it was very frustrating!

Pros: One Hertz associate was training 2 new employees and still managed to make the transaction smooth and efficient. I even upgraded the car to a larger model. The car was clean and comfortable and the unlimited mileage made my road trip very enjoyable.

Good value and nice employees
Pros: Check-in person took great care of us when we determined we were at the wrong location. Problem-solved and explained airport tax issues on the spot and we were quickly on our way.
Cons: We started off picking up our car in the RIGHT spot, but it was the WRONG car (a really nice infiniti Q50); Kind of disappointing when we had to migrate our baggage to our plain-jane-Nissan-Sentra, Then there were no keys in it. Ha!
Not really a big deal though, and we weren't delayed for more than an few minutes.

Pros: Car was very clean on the inside. But there were some stickers partially peeled off on the outside.
Cons: My reservation was sent to the wrong hertz rental location but once we got that straightened out, all went well.

Pros: Fantastic price! Made an 18 hour trip much more enjoyable.
Pleasant and efficient staff at Hertz. Will definitely use Kayak again!

Slow and inconsistent service
Pros: I liked the good deal I got and the car was better than expected.
Cons: When we got there the place was closed with a paper taped to the door and scribbled handwriting saying "Be right back." There were 5 others waiting when we got there. Then there was only one employee there for 30 and he had only helped one customer. Finally two other employee's showed up and the process finally inched forward. We were waiting for and hour before they helped us.

Pros: Employees were nice and courteous, but overwhelmed.
Cons: The car needed oil change, had to switch vehicles at my other destination. We were not informed of the drop key box, so we were charged an extra day. Day of pick up only had 2 people working.

Pros: Fuel economy, vehicle color and options. Vehicle handling.
Cons: Because of the flooding in the Houston area the drop off location is closed. I was forced to return the vehicle to a location, quite distant at my inconvenience and expense.
Hertz, should be more cooperative, to make things easier, not the fault of the customer, their location flooded. At least offer some discount for the customer's inconvenience, or pick up they're vehicle at their expense.
Cons: The reservation made by internet, placing that I would deliver the vehicle in Doral offices, but when I was given the vehicle, they placed another delivery address and I did not notice the error.
The day of delivery arrived at the Buget office in Doral, as I had done in the reservation and they told me of the error and that if I delivered the vehicle in Doral, I would be charged an additional.
I decided to take it to the airport offices and to get beyond the delivery time, I was charged an additional day.
