The location was perfect. Travelator directly behind the hotel to get you up to the telecabin. At another time of year you can ski right back to the door, even this week we skiied half way down.
Rooms were small, luckily there was room in cupboard to store suitcase otherwise you'd be falling over it. Toilet/shower was a very small plastic pod. There was hardly any room to dry yourself and nearly everything in the pod got wet whilst showering. Not ideal but ok for a couple of nights. Older lady very friendly but other lady (owner/manager?) not so much. We checked out but weren't being picked up until the evening. Were able to leave luggage in ski room but had to give the exact time we were coming back so we could pick up ski room key, so it meant we spent the last day clock watching. There was no way we were going to be allowed to have a spare key for the room even though by this time the hotel was virtually empty. Had to get changed in ski room before being collected, no shower facilities available. Bar was not open whilst we were there either. Hotel happy to take your booking but not to be flexible in any way, I felt we were just an inconvenience.
Located at the bottom of the ski slopes allowing you to ski to the door. Very good restaurant. Old style wooden chalet property.
Bathroom was a bit of a squeeze but adequate and clean
Excellent location for skiing and then walking into town where the bars and restaurants were in the evening
Ski in/ski out - great location, no need for a car. Friendly and helpful staff. Large ski/boot room with boot warmers. Although breakfast was pricey (€14) you can eat all you want & therefore maybe skip lunch! Twin bedroom was roomy enough, and the right temperature once we'd turned it down from the maximum! Main meals were as good as most other places we ate at in Les Carroz. They all seemed expensive but that's probably more to do with the current value of the £, and a bit about being a ski resort.
There were only 6 hangers for a large wardrobe - had to store my clothes under the bed. The shower could have done with a scrub in the corners & the toilet was VERY odd (but functioned fine).
The location right at the slope is great. Staff is very friendly. Parking (outdoor) in front of the hotel is good. Ski locker is on site.
The shower cabin that also includes the toilet is very inconvenient. Everything gets wet and water drips on the carpet of the room. Flushing the toilet made a lot of noise. Talking about noise, the hotel is quite old so you hear the tv or flushing a toilet in other rooms, the stairs, everything. We could not always cut the heating, so room was very warm.
