Owner/manager, who spoke perfect English, went out of his way to be helpful, and really made us feel at home plus the location and gardens are wonderful.
Nice quiet location outside of town in the hills. Stayed in junior suite #15. Small patio outside room. Comfortable room. Had delicious meal at the restaurant. Enjoyed the Riesling they served. Bought a bottle to take with us.
Only 3 channels on TV.
This hotel is good value for money. We had a double room at the top floor and had a lovely view over the woods. The en suite bathroom is new and very elegant. The breakfast was fantastic with warm fresh rolls, home made jams, yoghurt and various cold meats and wonderful strong coffee. From a former visit I know that the food is excellent, and the chef advises one about the suitable wines to go with the meal. So I van recommend this hotel.
We would advise the owner to have some instructions for the use of the television as there are two remote controls, one simply to switch it on and the other to switch channels. I f you start with the wrong remote control you have no television.
The welcome provided by the family who own the hotel.
fine food, perfect location
home cooked food was excellent
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Strong internet connection in room.
Room was cold. The heating system was a little weak.
Quiet location, though close to the road. Restaurant and food top quality, proprietors very helpful and friendly. Convenient location to very nice trails, including the trail to the Winneburg, which is very worthwhile hiking to.
We were traveling without automobile, so it was a bit inconvenient to get to town and to the river. Not a big problem for us, as we did not mind hiking down the hill to Cochem and getting a taxi back end of the day, but some may prefer to stay closer to the town center. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, and buses run hourly (except on weekends, when it is every two hours).
The hotel was ok, the information about distans from citycenter not
Particularly excellent food, relaxed atmosphere
