Okay stay
Hotel is small, everything is close by.
Didn't like the lack of food choices. Only one place for breakfast and not a large variety. Only 3 restaurants for dinner with no option of buffet. Lack of description of special events. No information clearly defining where and when special events were happening
Convenient Hotel
Scuba dive shop is top notch. The dive shop is a top notch operation that have been in business a long time. Had not dove with them for over ten years but outstanding continued service.
Food was not very good in the restaurants. The buffet down by the beach was good however. Enough choices to satisfy most.
Great snorkeling, good food & warm, friendly staff
Sometimes a little loud at pool area; request room that does not overlook pool
The Staff were ALL so lovely and attentive...the tour coordinator accommodated us last minute with a scooter which was so fun for my daughter. The beverage offerings were top notch, the rooms were REALLY comfortable~and included room service. The food was good too. The beachfront was cool, with beds to lie on with the sound of surf washing up against the rock/coral edge underneath them...once they finish it off with sand it will be really nice. (it had just re-opened in September after a year of complete renovations)
I took part in a meeting to consider a time share purchase where they promised it would not go over 1.5 hours, (Tim was very nice) but it was more like 2+ once his Manager stepped in to close the sale...we were given a snorkel trip for our time. Since it is a common occurrence, I recommended the Boat captain carry BarfBags for his vomiting patrons instead of letting them upchuck overboard to protect the reef and the snorkelers.
We'll be back!
The remodeled rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The food is mostly excellent, a cut above for an all-inclusive at this price. Our focus was on diving (easy boat pickup from the pier), so we weren't to concerned about the distance from town or the limited range of other activities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
There was a little confusion about meal times - we were told breakfast started at 6 AM but it was actually 7 AM. Likewise lunch started an hour later than expected, at 1 PM. The only exception to the wonderful food was our meal in the Italian themed restaurant - main courses were very average and the service was rushed despite many open tables. We found the overeager young time-share salesman a bit annoying but he left us alone after we expressed our disinterest...
Soaking up the sun
Newly renovated and reopened 9/1/2014. Very contemporary/modern. Customer service was great. Dinner food was exceptional and buffet was good. Biking, snorkeling right off the vicinity, water volleyball, Mexican Bingo, Karaoke. Gym was sufficient. Drinks were plenty. Free laundry room. Overall great experience!
Had to pull teeth to get bottled water, we drink a lot of water to stay hydrated from drinking alcohol but they held the water back along with towel service. The bath shower flooded out of the glass door since the ledge was high enough to keep the water in. The glass door kept hitting the ceiling shower head and was afraid to crack. Wished they had more activities that were included but it makes sense to make money around the island. The bartender seemed to cater to the Mexican locals compared to the foreigners.
Excellent experience
Recently remodeled, rooms were very nice, new TV, rain showers, AC. Nice lobby patio area with pool, some evenings had music and dancing some were more laid back. 3 very nice restaurants,we could walk in anytime, but were were just offseason. Smaller resort so very easy to get around and very quiet. Beach and chairs/sunbeds nice area to snorkel and swim. Somewhat remote, cannot walk to town but several places to eat and Chankanaab Park within easy walking. Staff and service were truly amazing, never wanted for anything, and did not get solicited for timeshare.
No hot tub in the pool area but there are hot tubs in the suites.
Perfect location for divers, like me (not so good for bathing on the beach). Rooms are not expensive, clean and nice, but all restaurants outsides are 3 times cheaper.
i liked it all,and very good scuba diing also, great staff, good hotel, food in hotel a little pricey.
make food a lil cheaper, especially breakfast.
