  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Crescent City, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Crescent City in February and January.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Crescent City if you stay on a Monday. The opposite is true for, Wednesday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • Book more than 90 days before your stay begins to get the best price for your Crescent City accommodation.
  • How long should you stay? KAYAK users usually book their accommodation in Crescent City for 2 days.
  • If you’re hoping to go to a museum or two during your stay in the area, consider booking a hotel that is in the city center, such as the charming Pacific Inn. This will put you within a short walking distance from the Del Norte County Historical Society, a museum that teaches visitors about the area’s rich heritage.
  • Those that enjoy fishing will want to stay somewhere in the southern part of town, as this will put you close to the B Street Pier. The Coastal Cottage is a recommended place to stay that is around a 3-minute walk from here and the oceanfront.
  • To go on a hike and spend some quality time in nature, opt for lodging that is near the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park Visitor Center, which can be found in the eastern part of the city. The Coastal Inn and Suites is a comfortable place to stay that is right near the center and the beginning of the forested area.
  • Visitors that plan on spending their trip lounging on the beach and soaking up some sun can stay at a hotel near Pebble Beach, like the Crown of the Coast. This beach is known for having calm waters that are good for swimming.
  • Crescent City has quite a few local breweries, making it a popular area for beer-lovers to visit. If you want to be just a short walk from a few of them, such as Port O'Pints Brewing Co. and SeaQuake Brewing, choose a hotel that is close to the city center, like the Anna Wulf House B&B.

The Westward Inn is set up Mitel style where you can park your car in front of your room. It was easy to find, easy to check in even though we arrived late (9pm) the front desk was manned and the woman was polite. She had my reservation details ready and was helpful with breakfast suggestions and check out procedures. The room was clean (smelled clean as soon as you opened the door) and the bed was comfortable. The room is basic and amenities are there but also basic (in plastic pouches like condiments 😎). Everything was good and no complaints. The room could use a little updating (a few dings in the walls etc) but perfect for a quick overnight stay with plenty of parking and easy in and out. I would stay again if I’m Crescent City.
