Excellent 10.0
Pros: This place has wonderful, friendly staff. Everyone took such great care of us, and the grounds are immaculate. The tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun. Thank you, Simon and Eric!! We highly recommend Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve and a visit to Xunantunich. Gorgeous beach, especially at sunrise, which we made sure to catch daily. I will miss having delicious breakfast while looking at this view. We also enjoyed interacting with the entire bar staff, special shout out to Jess who was so much fun and gave use info on places in town to see. Top marks. 100% positive experience.

Pros: The location, the staff, the food and our room. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had the best time. Mario, our travel guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Belize, wildlife and birds. We explored and learned so much. Fishing was amazing and prepared so beautifully by the chef at the Paddlehouse. A perfect trip!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The food and drinks were all reasonably priced and great quality. Staff was super friendly. The Big Dock bar was incredible. Loved that there was happy hour from 2p to 8p.
Cons: Not much. Loud kids by the pool but obviously the hotel can’t control that.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The personal pool was amazing. Pool bartender name starts with a B, was everything and very accommodating. Cleaned pool and room when we were gone. Free kayaks and paddle boards. Also loved captain Larry, very sweet man
Cons: The ocean was barely visible.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was very comfortable, spacious.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Well run property with great staff.
Cons: The restaurant needs to provide more a la carte options. They need to put four more beach chair/beds in front of Almond Beach.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff was extremely warm and helpful. The beach was well maintained. The country was great and the excursions were fun.
Cons: The food was good, we found ourselves wanting more variety, but we did go during the slow season.

Pros: The staff were amazing the dock bar staff were the best so kind and friendly. Our room was absolutely amazing. The food was great and drinks were delicious. We will be back
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was great, a little out of Hopkins but had bikes available to go into town. Right on the beach, great pier with a bar overlooking everything. Staff was wonderful. Capitan Larry was the man to see about using their boats and boards.
Cons: Some of the guests seemed a little snooty to me, but it was a more expensive place than we would normally stay.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The rooms were great, the restaurant is amazing in every way, we loved the food and the drinks! The dock is out of this world! A lovely experience by the sea
Cons: The reefs for snorkeling are quite far but worth it!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were amazing. The food and facilities were second to none!
Cons: A little bit far out from the village
Good 7.0
Pros: The Lodge at Jaguar Reef. After researching the area and multiple accommodations, I picked the Lodge based on reviews and pics posted. My last 3 nights of my 12 day vacation in Belize was sadly a disappointment in terms of my room solely. When I checked in I was told that I had to move rooms the next day which seemed so impractical due to the fact that I was only staying for 3 nights. I was told that there was a suite available, however the room was not at the Lodge (detail that was not shared with me) but it was in an adjacent property named the Colonial. The same company but very old and dated building. My view was spectacular, but the room seemed like it hadn't been used in ages, just that humidity in the air, rusty smell, old tiles, ancient rooms with no character, completely different from the bungalows at the lodge and almond beach properties. The lighting in the room was fierce, track lights, ac loud, too loud that I had to pump the volume of the TV significantly to watch anything. Plus sides to the facility are the gracious staff who work tirelessly to greet you everyday, make sure you are happy and genuinely care about your experience. The grounds are kept immaculate, restaurant has great daily specials, fantastic excursions. Just don't stay at the Colonial..I paid for the Lodge Bungalow and ended up in a musty, old room. I recommend the property overall but just be clear with the front desk about your reservation.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Nice hotel decoration. Rooms are big and confortable. Great bar near the sea and excellent food at the restaurant. The adventure desk was also very helpful.
Cons: Very big American style hotel but still nice.
Okay 5.0
Pros: good
Cons: the room booked via your site was absolutely horrible! disgusting old and dated bathroom. small room. Thankfully we got moved to another room. I am not sure if i will use your booking site again.

Pros: It was a treat to stay in the National Park. We enjoyed the location and not having to drive back and forth. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant was great! We did a night hike which was super fun.
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing location in the Bocawina reserve, in a garden of eden and next to several easily accessible waterfalls. Jungle zip line on the property. Adorable staff: we were missing a bed so the manager had us an additional suite for free!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: So much fun! Great activities, phenomenal staff. Really loved our stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful grounds, friendly and very helpful staff, delicious food
Excellent 8.0
Pros: For the first night we stayed at a maya room, these rooms are the cheapest 2 person rooms. The room was normal with 2 beds and a nice shower and 2 vans. for the 2n night we received an upgrade to the Sunset Suite higher up the hill of the grounds of the lodge. This room was really spacious with 2 big beds, a seating area and a big bathroom. The lodge grounds are very nice and green. The restaurant was excellent! There are many activities on the site to do in the jungle and you are also close by the sea (hopkins village). All accommodations have the possibility to refill your water bottle. The lodge is also partly eco friendly and the try to develop the eco friendly part further and ask the guests to take part of it. The staff both in the reception area, acitivities desk and restaurant are really friendly and nice!

Pros: I was suspicious because I booked pretty close to our vacation time and they had two prime rooms open but this place was amazing. It's run by the Coconut Row resort down the street. The staff couldn't have been better--Patricia takes care of everything. We loved the little town, Hopkins, a great taste of local culture. This was far better than staying in a private resort area. We would definitely return!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Facility, team, management attention and attitude
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, always available by Whatsapp if there are questions. Free bikes
Cons: For check in and checkout we had to walk to the other part of the hotel, that could be improved to make it easier
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff is incredible, they all took the time to ensure our stay was perfect. Damian has a winning team there, can’t wait to come again
Cons: Bed was somewhat uncomfortable, needs a new bed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: we loved it - especially the free bikes!
Cons: the seaweed, but nothing can be done about that!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great staff and wonderful overall property. We wanted to stay in a comfortable space that gave us the true feel of the surrounding community, rather than a resort. This property gave us many of the amenities of a resort but is rooted in the Hopkins community, rather than being an insulated property without a distinct Belize experience. We took advantage of the many adventures offered, rented a car and explored on our own, and also took time to relax on the beach. Our kids loved playing soccer and rugby with the local kids. Loved our trip!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I liked the location very much, right on the beach and located in a typical Belizean village. Peaceful and feeling secure even walking around in the evening.
Cons: I liked everything, it was better than ecpected
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. The prices were also reasonable. Quick customer service.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable bed. Liked the roof top and free bikes.
Cons: I had trouble with coffee maker, also/and not enough coffee supplied. Never got a tour of property. Room phone wasn’t working and Patricia was checking why it wasn’t but didn’t hear anymore.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent all the way around. Food, accommodations, friendly staff, location. We will definitely be back. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
Cons: Still using one-time use plastic water bottles. Many places offer a canteen of filtered water to refill your own bottles.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I like THAT it was very close to the sea
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beach and water view, the owner and staff, the restaurant on the property.
Cons: Leak from broken pipe directly over the steps & walkway to our room. Barking dogs next door.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The room was spacious and immaculate. Loved the location right on the beach and great walkable restaurants and shops nearby. Friendly staff.
Cons: The beach and ocean had quite a bit of trash/litter, which was really sad to see but seemed to be a big problem all along Hopkins area. The staff tried to rake the beach and keep up with it and did an okay job, but it made for a sad walk along the beach as soon as you crossed onto the neighbors property. Not what I expected from the area, but now we know.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean, professional, nice staff. The property was perfect-white sand beach, comfy bed. Patricia at the front desk was great! The tours were cool. I recommend the Sittee River Bio tour- very local. I only saw it advertised at Coconut Row.
Cons: We enjoyed our stay. Great location-not in the resort area. It still has a local vibe. All walkable- store, restaurants. Biking was a nice option as well as the free use of kayaks. We will stay there again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the room, the beach, the restaurant, and the staff. The grounds crew pointed out some manatees and grabbed a kayak so we could go check them out closer. Everyone was so friendly and it’s a lovely, relaxed spot.
Cons: Everything was great!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast and lunch was excellent, the compound was clean and beautifully kept, the staff and owner were friendly and courteous and made sure to check up on us regular to make sure we were ok.
Cons: not applicable
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The setting was absolutely fantastic! Coconut Row is conveniently located in the village so you have access to the local shops, restaurants and music but when you’re on site, you have your own piece of paradise! Every morning, I drank my coffee on our private patio, looking out over the Caribbean Sea. Most mornings, the sea and the sunrise were quite serene; other mornings, white-capped waves greeted me, with a gentle breeze. Sounds of exotic birds serenaded us every morning. Steps away from our room, we soaked in the sun’s rays on either Adirondack chairs or padded lounge chairs. The staff could not have been more accommodating: from the front desk upon arrival, to interacting with the cleaning, maintenance and grounds crew. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We regularly interacted with Damien, the owner, when our paths crossed, which very much made us feel like this was home. At any point in our day, a quick trip over to Coconut Husk, their adorable and convenient restaurant allowed us to eat or enjoy an adult beverage, where the staff remembered not only our names but also what we liked. As I’m sitting here on my last morning, enjoying the Belizean sun rise one last time before I head back home - there’s no doubt that I will return to Coconut Row.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Coconut Row is nestled in a the quiet village of Hopkins right on the waterfront. The property is run perfectly with attentive staff, pristine rooms, great little restaurant and excursions that will make your trip exciting. You are greeted at the front desk by Patricia, who makes great efforts to make your stay comfortable and accommodate you best way possible. If you want a relaxing, quiet stay with plenty of options for daily trips this is your place. Try the ceviche & fish tacos at the Corn Husk.

Pros: All around very nice place to stay
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.5
Pros: Nice spacious room with view of the ocean. Staff in the office were very helpful in arranging the dive and snorkel excursions we wanted to do.
Cons: The breakfast was below standard. The milk for the cereal was sour. When I pointed this out to the waitress she didn't replace it. Cut fruits were laying uncovered attracting flies. Very limited options for what to eat. We struggled with the aircon in our room - even when set at 80 degrees the room was freezing.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Rooms were very clean. Hotel was right on the beach. The barracuda restaurant was excellent.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was great. Personnel was wonderful and took care of us.kayaks and paddleboards included. thank you Klára and family
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff and the owners wonderful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was fantastic and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The hot complimentary breakfast was delicious and the dinners cooked by Chef Rob were even better. We liked the location and were able to see many sites with Parrot Cove as our home base.
Cons: We liked everything about our stay and have no complaintes.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: We arrived during low season so we were upgraded to a second floor ocean view room. It was really beautiful and SO luxurious after several nights of camping on the cayes! Very large, clean room included AC, fridge, giant bed, and plenty of fluffy white towels. The staff was amazingly friendly. We made use of the free bikes to explore the town The sea was rough due to windy conditions during our stay so we did not kayak, swim in the ocean, or take a paddle board out, although we would have if it had been calmer. We hung out at the small pool and on our private balcony. The only thing that kept the stay from being 100 percent for us was the lack of simple dining options on site.
Cons: The hotel is owned and run by a chef, so the meal options were fancy and out of our budget. I was traveling with my youngest son, who is probably a chef's nightmare (survived Belize on hamburgers and chicken fingers). The kitchen staff told me they were unable to make kid friendly food even though the sweet lady at the front desk told me they would. We went without dinner the first night and then went offsite for lunch and dinner going forward. The breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious but there is no opportunity to choose what you eat.My kiddo ate and liked the breakfast on day 1 but only ate the fruit from packable breakfast on day 2.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Amazing staff, so helpful connecting us with local tour operators, restaurants nearby and tips. The restaurant in the lodge was quite good, but many restaurants nearby.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and staff were wonderful!
Good 7.0
Pros: Beach, pool, staff, shower, server in restaurant
Cons: Food in restaurant was below expectation. Breakfast was very modest and simple. Neon/white lighting in the room.
Good 6.7
Pros: It was a very wet couple days. nobody was there and they still had us get a reservation. Seriously the food was good but not stellar. Staff was awesome.
Cons: The price for two Rooms was absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend this place for the price they charged. Very mediocre furniture. Lacked Lights. Low water heater. Very simple room. Beds were so so. Lighting pathetic. Air con and fan worked. View was great. I wouldn’t recommend this place WiFi didn’t work but 10 min in the office MAybe the weather caused these issues

Pros: We loved the resort and the location--the resort was very nice, and we felt that Hopkins gave us a very authentic Belize experience. Our room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The hotel restaurant and bar are good and convenient. Breakfast was amazing! Lots of choices. The peanut butter French toast was especially good. There are also good local restaurants nearby. It's also close to the Jaguar Preserve and Mayflower Bocawina National Park--both worth visiting. Snorkel excursions take off right from the dock at the resort.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The view staff was awesome
Cons: Ants in the kitchen and we never cooked.
Okay 5.0
Pros: This is a really tough review for us to give...because most things were great, however one person ruined it significantly for us (see below). We loved most of the staff and especially the restaurant staff. The food was quite good and the servers were super friendly. Lots of things to do to keep our son busy. Lots of games and they had sand/pool toys.
Cons: We had money stolen out of our safe and we highly suspect it was the maintenance man who helped us re-gain entry when we were locked out of our safe that same day. He would have seen that there was cash in there when he assisted me and he had the means to access our room when we were at Driftwood Pizza on the Tuesday night for the drumming. Wednesday morning I discovered our safe was open, counted our cash and there was at least $300USD missing. Thankfully he didn't take more. Unfortunately this really affected us for obvious reasons and we spent our last day really feeling violated and vulnerable. We were actually locked out of our safe a second time because the batteries fell out. We later reported this incident to management but we didn't hear back. We weren't expecting our cash back, but some follow up correspondence would have been appreciated. If you do choose to stay here be cautious with cash and I wouldn't trust the safe!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful rooms and the entire resort! The location is great for adventures in the jungle, snorkeling and fishing, and their staff will be happy to arrange this with local quides. Complimentary bikes take you to the town in no time (just hope they get little more bikes, because they are very popular. But even when all the adult’s bikes were already taken, we managed to get some chidren’s bikes and they worked just fine) and there they often have live music. The resort also has the world’s best Pina Coladas!

Pros: The staff was great. Not far from everything elae like restaurants and beach.
Good 7.7
Pros: Owners were very accommodating! I had the change my plans several times and they were understanding and very helpful! They also gave us a room on the side opposite of the restaurant next door that has a live band on Thursdays at the same rate as our original room since I had a toddler with me. The rest of my stay was quiet and everything was very clean and well kept! Great location too!
Cons: There wasn't any hot water which wasn't really an issue for us but I did go to my Mom's hotel across the way to give my little one a shower. Beds are a little loud but this also didn't create an issue for us.
Good 7.0
Pros: Quiet, friendly and safe.
Cons: We had to rent bikes for the week from a place in the town. More bikes are needed for guests at Cosmopolitan.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: There are a few restaurants not too far, though there are other hotels closer to restaurants and the beach. The town is walkable. There are a few grocery stores not too far away. Cab fares I thought were somewhat pricey for the short distance you may want to use them for.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice host, very clean, close to the ocean and restaurants
Cons: Loud music from the bar nearby
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our room was very clean. Peggy was a great host. Will definitely go back. Close to sea, pool was great to cool off in and lots of great restaurants to choose from. Make sure to check out Maxim's in the village. We rode to the village on bicycles. We never felt unsafe anywhere in the village.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Miss Emily and staff keep the accommodations immaculately clean and the rooms, although small have interesting art and are bright and cheerful. The location is very near a good breakfast at the "Gym" and dinner at several good restaurants.

Pros: The rooms are fantastic. Our first room had an incredible balcony and view. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The big dock is a great spot for beverages, swimming, manatee spotting and lounging. It was a great stay here! Staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you for everything.

Pros: Amazing food
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great value for money, very friendly staff. Beautiful rooms
Cons: Got attacked and eaten alive by sandflies
Good 7.0
Pros: The room was spacious and as pictured, though a bit worn. View from the room was nice. Atmosphere was relaxing. Staff were courteous and friendly.
Cons: The room did not have a microwave or phone to call the front desk. Nothing in the room that described anything such as where to find ice, restaurant menus etc. The road to the resort is a dirt road and very dusty. Though it is not far to walk to town, you get covered in dust from cars passing you. No exercise room that we saw. It basically is a nice place to stay and just relax on the beach. It is not advisable to walk to/from town or on the beach after dark which was 6 PM while we were there. Also, there is no sidewalk or boardwalk from the main lodging to the Villa Margarita (only part way) therefore if you are heading to dinner it is impossible to keep your feet clean. Taxi to town 1-way (about 1.5 miles) is about 10.00 (for 2 people, 5.00 for 1) each way. Other than eating out or doing a tour there was not much to do other than relax at the beach.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful sea-front property. Luxurious accommodation. Excellent staff.
Cons: Far from airport. Menu slightly overpriced.

Pros: Everything was great, thanks for the amazing experience!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: A quiet Villa but with all resort amenities close by. Not a wide beach but the entry into the water is great with waist deep water a long way out. Great place for family get togethers as some of the rooms open up to each other.
Cons: Unfortunately my wife reacted to the sand fly bites making for some very uncomfortable times.

Cons: This is not a 4-star hotel by many standards - more 2-star. Dangriga isn’t the safest of places but we did feel somewhat secure sleeping here. Rooms weren’t particularly nice. Very basic but at least clean. Generally I’d only stay in Dangriga if you absolutely have to for a stopover. This is probs one of the best places in town which is very limited.
Good 7.1
Pros: Everyone was very friendly and it’s close to the Main Street
Cons: Pillows were hard and hurt my neck On the 3rd day I seen an ant trail in my bathroom

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location if you need a place to stay before heading to a Caye, with in walking distance to the Riverside Cafe and docks, Were waiting at the Dangriga airport to take us to the hotel and drove us to the dock in the morning. Comfortable room with AC.

Pros: A little bit overdue on writing a review, but latitude adjustment met all expectations for my partner and I. We are in our early 20's and this stay was great. It had literally everything you needed. The amenities were of plenty. The wife's owner, Vanessa went out of her way and drove a few hours just to bring back my partners phone, which he had left in our previous stay! We were so thankful! Brian, the owner even let me use his phone when my bank locked my account due to using to many atm's. Brian, Vanessa, my partner and I even met up at a local bar one night and it was very eventful. The hospitality was great. You will not regret coming here! Brian and Vanessa are there if you need them. They will even help you book some tours. The beach is literally a short walk away, this was one of our favorite stays. Thank you Brian and Vanessa, hope you are doing well <3 Gema & Jp
Cons: No Ac but the rooms come with fans. And you can always take a dip at the pool!

Pros: The Kismet is like staying at hotel on Gilligan's Isle. It's funky, in a delightful way, with the ocean right out your door. My room was filled with color and kitchy beachcomber artwork. The bed was very comfy. The Kismet is not for everyone, though. If you prefer standard hotel rooms with all the typical accouterments of "boxes of people" hotels, this is not it. The more traditional or squeamish traveler may not feel secure here, with only curtains and screens on the windows but I felt fine with it. My room, "The Love Nest" had a shared shower, with a conch shell for a shower head---how cool is that! They have an excellent restaurant--family style; although I unfortunately wasn't able to eat dinner there (should have!) but I enjoyed Yvette's breakfasts. The staff is great. Be sure to chat with Tricia, the owner, and hear her story. If you want an experience wholly unlike your typical hotel stays, this is it.
Cons: Be aware that Tricia does not accept credit cards. I purchased my stay through Expedia, and they screwed up and charged my credit card the entire amount upon making my online reservation. They should have only charged 15% of the stay (their share) as their contract with Kismet stipulates. After four phone calls (with Tricia's help) it's still not clear that Expedia understands their mistake. I ended up paying Tricia the full amount in cash, and cancelling my Expedia reservation, although it's not clear yet Expedia has figured it out. So I have work to do to get my money back from them. So, just be sure you don't pay the full amount with online services like Expedia, and you won't have a problem.

Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: The description was a total lie. There are no amenities here and the pics are not the hotel. My bed was full of fleas. I can’t believe they said it had a lazy river, that’s a total lie! Along with most all of the other claims. I’ve stayed in worse rooms but not a worse one that cost that much
