Location is great and the beach is stunning. I loved to listen the sea while falling asleep. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful place and good value to money!
You can't bring your own drinks (not even water) to your apartment, so you have to buy all the drinks from the hotel. The menu would need reform / more variety.

The location on the beautiful white beach is to die for. The rooms are lovely; the air conditioning was a very pleasant luxury after two weeks of staying in lodges and camps and the bed was very large and comfortable. the shower was amazing! The staff were lovely, particularly the bar staff who can rustle up a fantastic cocktail! The food choices varied; one night was an a la carte menu because the hotel wasn’t as busy and we found the quality was greater that night than the buffet, however the buffet was still ok. They also catered specifically to my vegan requests.
When we booked the hotel, the description said that there was WiFi in all areas but, when we arrived, we were informed that it was mainly the public areas and we couldn’t access it in our room. We were provided with water on the day of check in but would have appreciated it on the other days as well as we could not drink the tap water and we had bottled water at all of our other hotels. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and these are just a couple of of small things that would have made our time there extra special.
Nice location close to the beach. We even got an upgrade and an early check in, the staff was very helpful and kind.
Prices for food and drinks are slightly higher, even for a bottle of water.
It’s a fabulous location. Directly at beachfront. A beautiful white-sanded tropical beach. Very nice and romantic place and great view from the room to the sea. They created many nice seats to relax. A nice beachbar and terrace to relax and eat or drink. And a restaurant without walls, only a roof. Looks nice. The personel is very friendly. It looks like paradise, if only they had not quite some annoying rules and features.
Not all they promise is true. They write it’s very luxury, well, the rooms are nice and romantic, but not luxury. The promised minibar was totally empty. They have a very annoying rule: all drinks and food from outside is forbidden to bring, BUT also the hotel does not sell any canned drinks, snacks, peanuts or crisps. So you have to secretly smuggle things to the compound. The guard even wanted to take away a half empty bottle mineral water from us; we refused. Any other hotel has a board with ‘welcome’, but here right at the gate they have that big board ‘food and drinks from outside are not allowed’. That doesn’t make you feel welcome. This kind of rules i never found anywhere. It makes you feel treated like a schoolboy. Normally every hotel here gives two small bottles of mineral water per day, free, because the tapwater cannot be drinked, but here they only give it the first day, after that they can sell you a bottle of 60 KES for 200 KES. It does not feel nice the management choose to try to make money on anything, while they are already one of the most expensive hotels in the area. The quality of the meals from the menu is reasonable to good - and for very reasonable price of €10 if ever you get the chance to order it... Because most of the days we were here (5 out of 7 days..!) they only had a buffet, with very limited choice, poor quality, limited quantity, half of the food was cold and highly fixed price of €20, exclusief drinks. They do not allow you to order meals from the menu. After two nights with buffets we refused to eat here and searched another place to eat. But other restaurants are quite far and only can be reached with taxi or tuktuk. The quality of the promised WiFi (‘also in the rooms’) was dramatic. When it worked the speed was about 0,2 Mbit/sec - only enough for whatsapp and very simple use. In the room we mostly had no WiFi at all and about 20 times a day you have to login again (when that works..
