Although we only stayed one night we felt the very nice and personal atmosphere of this guest house. The room was very tidy and nicely decorated, with the possibility to have a tea or coffee in the room. Our host gave us and our dog a warm welcome and even offered a very early breakfast as we had to catch the ferry. The guest house is located centrally, close to the town center and the ferry terminal which made it a perfect choice for us.
The windows are not isolated very well, so the noise of the street could get annoying. However, in our case there was not a lot of traffic during the night, so we did not have any issues.
Castle House is conveniently located only 10 minutes away from the ferry terminal. It's an old house and certainly breathes a vintage charm. We and our dog were warmly welcomed quite late in the evening, and were served a very generous, freshly prepared breakfast early the next morning by the owner.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved staying here
Breakfast was great, host was lovely, location handy.
Breakfast was good.
Reprimanded for not informing her we had a dog. Door to room I had to duck and enter sideways. Room was only fit for a limbo dancing contortionist. It may well conform to all legal requirements but I would only store unwanted items in it. And I had to pay for it!! Absolutely Awful !!
