Wonderful location - home of the Camilla Lackberg novels
The location is superb even though a little difficult to find. The views from the cabin window are superb! Everything is clean and tidy. The evening views back across the breakwater and marina to Fjallbacka are amazing. The young guy who met us was friendly but we saw him for ten minutes and then no one else after that. The coastal town and restaurants is a treat. Make sure you go to Tanumshede to see the Bronze Age rock carving.
2017 and no internet wifi! In this day and age of travel wifi has become essential for forward booking, checking on accommodation and travel. The small cabins are pleasant enough but separate from the ablutions block which you have to walk to in the middle of the night and unset the alarm to get into the block if you need the toilet. During our stay the reception, cafe and produce were not available.

Overview
Located on the sea front, Badholmens Vandrarhem offers views over the Fjällbacka archipelago. It features a hot tub, a sauna and a beach right around the corner. All rooms are in an annex building at Badholmens Vandrarhem and have simple decor. In the main building next door there is a communal kitchen with cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. There are also toilets and showers. Outside the house, guests have access to a patio with barbecue and seating facilities where you can relax and enjoy Fjällbacka. Shops, cafes and restaurants located at Ingrid Bergman Square are a 10-minute walk away from the hostel.
