8.8 Excellent
Pros: Marlfield House was stunning as were the grounds, bedroom and bar. Breakfast was excellent the morning after our stay and the staff were exemplary. We had an evening meal in the Duck restaurant and it was perfect.
Cons: There was a crack in the base of our bed and it creaked every time we moved which lead to a very poor nights sleep for my wife and I. At checkout we were told to mention this again next time to get a better rate, but realistically we probably won't stay again due to this experience, which is disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything from the moment we checked in. It's 20 years since we stayed here before and & both of us couldn't figure why it took us so long to go back. The Duck restaurant is really lovely, and it was lovely to be able to sit out on the terrace for a drink too. A special thanks to Suzannah who really made a fuss of us, ensuring we got the table we'd requested and overall being such a lovely, welcoming hostess.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Outrageously expensive for what it is. Only paid the price as we had a wedding there and it was convenient. We were put in a room right beside the lifts on the ground floor. Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: We stayed 2 nights but sadly have stayed in better for the cost. Very dated bedroom. Lighting was dreadful and the carpet was shabby. The mattress cover was very stained at the bottom of the bed. I purposely left it uncovered so the housekeeper could see but she just recovered it with the bottom sheet again!!

Cons: Breakfast tasty but basic
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were attending a wedding at Wells House and stayed at the Upton Court due its proximity to the venue. Our stay was brief but comfortable. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. However the highlight of our stay were the staff. They are a real asset to this hotel. The receptionist was extremely helpful and the bar staff in Sean Ogs were also very efficient and kind. I would stay in this hotel again and I would recommend it to others.

Pros: lovely hotel, nice rooms, good bar staff
Cons: Staffs knowledge. Told at reception there was music in the bar at 10pm there was not. Asked at reception were sides included in set dinner prices they did not know. Nobody mentioned the leisure centre or swimming pool during our whole stay.where it was, if skull caps were needed etc. Had dinner in the bar, which was not busy and waited for forty minutes for main course,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious catered for all tastes
Cons: Everything was good no complaints
6.3 Good
Pros: we liked the view We liked the bed We liked the room We liked the staff We liked the breakfast We liked where our room was situated. We liked the entertainment on the Sat. Night.
Cons: I was told that I would be given a room to prepare for a wedding on 09/08/19. I can understand that I can only have one if one is available, however to be offered a bathroom was totally inappropriate. Eventually we found a disabled toilet cognitant of the fact that we might be prohibiting a disabled person from using the said bathroom. The receptionist was very curt and sharp, a little more humility would have gone a long way.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and facilities were great.
Cons: The noise at night. I was woken up around three times in the night from drunk people leaving the hotel at the early hours of the morning.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, extremely well decorated, quite and comfortable. Food was fabulous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The wine list had excellent wines at a fair price. It is French based and avoids the exorbitant wines that are commonly listed in similar boutique accomodation.
Cons: Silent night was a music choice? It is still August!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious room, staff very nice & very helpful & breakfast was delicious. Would definitely revisit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional overnight. Food was incredible, absolutely stunning dinner and breakfast. Our bed was extremely comfortable. Little things that made it stand out - lavender on our bed, sleep masks, dressing gowns, fan heater. I’ll be raving about this stunning house and overall experience for a very long time! Thank you so much Brona and Phillipe!!
Cons: A few small things in our room would have added greatly to the whole experience - another set of mugs, bottles of water (only one small sparkling water bottle was provided for two people), wine glasses and wine opener (we had to go to the main house to request these). One tiny thing was that the music during dinner was extremely low, it would be lovely for this to be more audible - again this is only a tiny thing!
