The Northern Lights are something that very few people will get to see in their lifetime. If they are fortunate enough to go to Iceland to see them, travelers will need the perfect place to stay. In the midst of the Northern Lights, they will find the Northern Light Inn. This is a small, family-run hotel in Grindavik, Iceland. The views from here are breathtaking, and guests of the hotel will be able to see the Northern Lights from their windows!

The rooms here include down comforters, cozy beds, eco geothermal hot water, free WiFi, flat-screen television with 100 channels, espresso machine, mini fridge, and a welcome beverage. In the lobby, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are always available. Each afternoon at the Northern Light Inn, guests can go to the lobby to make their own waffles. There is a spa and fitness center here, along with Aurora Floating isolation pods. Max’s Restaurant is on-site for guests as well.

They can go on tours of the Golden Circle and South Shore, Volcano Garden Reykjanes, Northern Lights, whale watching, Reykjanes Circle, Laugavegur Trekking, Volcano House, Katla Ice Cave, Lava Tunnel, and snowmobiling. Pros (+) Staff picked us up at airport without a hitch. Gave us towels and ride to from Blue Lagoon, although it is close enough to walk. Front desk arranged a Golden Circle tour with pick up at hotel and drop off in city. Great service
Cons (-) Breakfast buffet a little weak, but hey, they are not big into breakfasts in Iceland
