Exceeded our expectations. Round the corner from the blue lagoon with free parking and a shuttle to the blue lagoon. Rooms were spacious with the best bed we found in Iceland. Very clean. Great shower. Gym was small but great with good equipment. The food for dinner was incredible and breakfast was an excellent spread. Would highly recommend! So pleased we stayed here. Staff will ring you if the northern lights appear in the night too and you can join in with the communal puzzle in the sofa area.
The Northern Lights Hotel is located about 30 minutes from the KEF Keflavik Airport right next to the famous Blue Lagoon. We arrived to the hotel quite early around 8:30 a.m., to stow our luggage with the management; however, to our surprise, the pleasant manager on duty (First name begins with an "H") had a room available and checked us into our room. The rooms were clean and the tea/refreshment area was a nice place to gather late at night. Breakfast was delicious as well. We'd stay at the Norther Lights again. Everyone on location was helpful.
Everything was great.
Fantastic place. Couldn’t fault them for anything. Perfect location if you want to stay near the blue lagoon. Breakfast was great.
lovely cosy hotel very close to blue lagoon. free tea/coffee and waffles .lovely cosy lounge with open fire place . free bus to blue lagoon on the hour every hour.
not really a negative but breakfast could have had more variety. a little expensive but worth it.
Location to the Blue Lagoon. Afternoon waffles and the wonderful staff. They even provided us with a tripod so that we could get excellent pictures of the Northern Lights!
The walls are very thin. We could hear the mobile phone and chats from the next room which disturbed sleep.
