Common area are nice and cosy, TV with Netflix, a small but brand new Cinema room are available. The staff is really nice and here to help and moreover you can borrow a bike for the day which in such a large city is really helpful.
Locker are not really cleverly build, one of them didn't have a door. Toilets were okay, but for some reason there's a small door that leads straight outside on the roof and having something to dry your hands after having washed them could be good. The Kitchen is not in a bad state, but the crockery could be improved as well as having common seasoning, oil, ...
Staff was friendly.
The hostel is quite poorly equipped (not enough fans, everything is quite old).therefore it was really hot in the room I was staying in. The room and the bathrooms were pretty dirty and not well cleaned during my stay. You don't expect much for that price, but it should be clean and cool enough to sleep well.
The hostel is well located. It has an open area that is really nice. The room was clean and the bed was confortable though the bathroom was really small.
Everything was ok
Great location a block or two away from Chapultepec (lots of bars and restaurants). The staff were mostly very helpful when I had questions, and when the hot water wasn't working, they fixed it really quick. Kitchen was pretty decent.
I stayed a couple of nights in the women's dorm - it was very hot with no fan and lots of mosquitoes too. I stayed one night in the mixed dorm - ventilation is better, but cleanliness could be improved. Both rooms were pretty loud with noise from the street. Trash bins in the bathroom were sometimes overflowing, which was not pleasant.
The staff was nice, kitchen well equipped
Hmm.. it wasn’t super clean, almost no water in the sink upstairs (just dripping - not enough to properly wash your hands after using the toilet). The first shower is impossible to lock - so it’s basically useless (actually all of them are difficult to handle, but the first one I never got to lock at all). The number lock for the girls room is dirty (every time I had to open the door, I was cringing) - especially knowing that there’s no water really to wash your hands after using the bathroom.. I think the place could have potential, but for now it’s too expensive for what it is. (I don’t think I have high expectations- but some amount of care would’ve been nice)
