we are regular patrons of this hotel. It is ideally situated for a visit to Hobart.
Central to all that we wanted to do and see
I liked the location and it wasnt far to walk in to the centre of town. There were great places to eat near by.
Its proimity to my conference venue
Locality to the city and surrounds
It was well located near the Salamanca and waterfront areas. Quiet despite a pub opposite being very busy one night.
It was one of the blandest, plainest room I have ever stayed in - reminded me of a student hall of residence. Not a place to linger- but functional.
The bathroom facilities were great, beds were comfortable, there was no noise from the outside despite being close to night spots. Staff were exellent and very helpful. Nice big room even with three people.
Tried to park the morning before, rang up to confirm and was told it would be fine, but at that time of the morning the only parking available were metered spaces. Not a problem for me but might be for an elderley couple.
Very easy and quick to access rooms from the streetfront. Very quiet compared to most hotels. Very close to the waterfront and to the restaurants at Salamanca.
Good position, close to Salamanca Place, the harbour and the concert hall.
I wish a single room was half the price of a double.
This hotel has poor ventilation, It was stuffy. I suspect it has "Sick Building Syndrome" a condition where carbon dioxide, paint and plastic emissions acculmulate due to poor ventilation.
