Dorsett Kwun Tong is a boutique hotel in Hong Kong’s Kowloon East area. This places a traveler just a short walk from the Kwun Tong MTR Station as well as such popular shopping destinations as the Emax and Telford Plaza. A trendy neighborhood for fans of authentic street food, it is also close to lots of business locations, including Manulife Financial Centre, AIA Kowloon Tower, the Millennium Cities, and more. The airport is only 18 miles from the grounds and some of the best pedestrian experiences are within 500m of the front entrance.
While this appealing location is a good reason to book, there are also many remarkable facilities and services available to guests. Pros (+) I like how even though the hotel is in a very tiny narrow building, they still managed to make the lobby look modern and classy. The room I stayed in was small but felt spacious and I like how the washroom has a glass window that can be closed off with a curtain operated by a switch inside the washroom for privacy. Pros (+) The room is clean with everything that I need. I found the best price at USD$70 per night for 5 nights and then extended for another 2 nights for $100 each night. I am happy that they give me a room on high level at 25th floor with a little bit of harbor view. The staff is polite and professional. I will stay again if I can get a great deal in room rate
Cons (-) It takes about 8 minutes walk to Subway and all other big shopping area with thousand of people on the road. Once you get over the crowd and get your bearing, you are fine. Not recommend to those first time in Hong Kong as this is a bit of out of place. But for the price I play, it worths every penny. Even better than some AIRBNB.
Pros (+) The free mobile phone they provided is very convenient, can use as a hotspot and call to a few countries. (USA)
Cons (-) The room is a little bit too small. I ordered a queen size bed, and they gave me a double bed.
Pros (+) The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet considering the industrial location. It is not too far away from the MTR and the big APM shopping mall which provides convenience. The third floor has couple quiet visitor rooms that you can visit with friends if you find the room small.
Cons (-) The industrial location may not be pleasant for first time Hong Kong tourists.
