Location was beautiful.
Need to make air conditioner quieter.
The location was nice, and the staff was helpful and kind. The on-site restaurant was not only delicious but also staffed by friendly folks.
We experienced problems with the air conditioning in our room, which took several phone calls to the front desk to fix. They were also remodeling the hotel, so there was quite a bit of noise and such during the day. If I had to do it again, I'd stay somewhere else.
I am a female police officer. I went on a mini vacation and stayed in this hotel. Staff, food and cleanliness were great. But I do have a safety suggestion that I unfortunately realized how unsafe this was until I had a bad experience. When you check in they ask you to put on a wrist band that you cannot take off (even if you try) so employees can verify you are a guest at the hotel. Not a problem until you leave the hotel and go to different locations in the area and bump into someone local and unfortunately don't have good intentions or they are a habitual criminals and are familiar with tourist wearing their hotel name on the wrist. This makes them know a few things: 1) that they are a tourist (not familiar with area) making the tourist an easy target. Marking them as an easy target to rob them as tourist usually carry cash on them. Break into vehicles since tourist shop for gifts. 2) and the most important and unfortunately it happened to me. The suspect/offender will know where you are staying making it easy for them to plan the crime. I had an unknown male approach me while I was listening to music and having dinner and drinks with my female friend at a restaurant nearby. Male extended his arm as if he was introducing himself. He made it seem as if he was the manager so I politely extended my arm and shook his hand. He introduced himself. He was a customer. He asked me if he can buy me a drink and hang out with him. I kindly declined as I am a married woman. Little did I know or realized he already knew where I was staying because that's when he took advantage and read the bracelet that sqys the hotel name. Long story short without going into details I saw this male the next morning in the property canvassing the area. Still didn't think much of it till I saw him at night again, qt which point he aggressively approached my friend and myself. I will not go into details but because of that bracelet I became a victim. I hope that policy changes where we do not have to wear anything advertising our 'home' location to everyone and anyone. That is our home when we go on vacation.
friendly staff, fun atmosphere
under construction, non working elevators, expensive for what you get
Nice resort, great location, small rooms
The location was great! The pool is ok but gets better after a few drinks. The beach activities are fun too. Had a great time snorkeling and paddle boarding. The food was AMAZING and very reasonable priced.
The $25 resort fee is a joke(it includes parking, internet, and beach activities). If I have paid for a hotel, I don't want to have to pay more once I get there just to check in. The rooms were very small and had non functional furniture. There is nowhere to store your clothing. The water trampoline had a big tare in it so bouncing was out. The large inflatable rafts in the lagoon all had popped and were removed from the water during our stay. The pool was ok but really needed some upkeep. The bar looked like it was about to topple over into the pool. The alcohol was overpriced. All and all, we had a good time with our friends and family but I doubt I would come back. The resort was way too expensive for the value I received.
Disappointed
The location and staff were great.
Our room was very noisy when others were in the hall or adjacent rooms; this made it very difficult to sleep. A construction crew started working outside of our room very early in the morning. Our A/C wasn't very cold. The resort is undergoing renovations, and the amenities in service are very dated. The area was under a small craft advisory during our stay and they wouldn't let us use the watersports equipment.
Very nice except
The place was really nice. Great location. Great restaurants in the area. The only issue was the shower. I can't descibe how bad it was. The room was nicely done but they forgot to update the shower.
The shower and the maids. You couldn't even get them to say good morning. It became a game - who can get the maid to respond to good morning.
the grounds were lovely and well kept and a beautiful place. lots of lounge chairs etc. and the staff was wonderful, especially, dave at beach services and Lita at the pool bar . ate at the raw bar and the food was good.We had a wonderful time and the only draw back was the awful room. a very pretty place.
the room was terrible. extremely small and poor lighting. bathroom was in need of work. except for the bed it was not a comfortable room to be in. a big disappointment ! there was no place to sit your things down or store your cases. smallest room I have ever stayed in.
Beautiful Setting
the view of the ocean the pool the restaurants
the tiki bar was under construction the hotel still needs some updating the bathtub was in poor condition the stairs need paint could use an elevator
Great Resort
Very modern room...although short on electrical outlets. Large, comfortable, and clean for a beach hotel. Lots of beach activities included in price which is great. Front desk clerks very nice and helpful.
The hallways...made of concrete which is understandable but in your room you can hear guests walking, talking, etc.
So many ups and downs I had to write about it
The property is very nice on the outside, where you spend most of your time. All staff was helpful (water equipment rental booth, front desk, and maintenance) Came to the Keys hoping to see iguanas and they had a large family hanging out in a remote section of the property! Water equipment is free to use daily for about an hour at a time.
There is no area to grill. As a returning renter, I was disappointed their massive bar Rum Runners is permanently closed. The Tiki Bar was under renovation, and the room prices don't seem to fluctuate to reflect that, thus upon arrival my full expectations were not met. Obvious A/C leaking causing water damage to ceiling suggests they need to spend time inspecting/repairing units.
The location, ocean view, amenities and friendly staff
Both bars closed for renovation. Bars that were open had rotting wood and mildew. Frozen oysters at raw bar.
Great location !!
The rooms could use some updating and remodeling, otherwise very comfortable
the carpet was wet wet very wet and smell so bad, the location is great area, with pool, bayview, amaizing tiki bar. bad the room was horrible!
I enjoyed the proximity to the beach. Rooms were very clean.
Everything you required was there within the complex. Also not far from some wonderful restaurants. It was a great experience!
The room was nice with a balcony. The beach , pool , and facilities were close by and clean.
There was a tree right outside our window that was blocking what would have been a spectacular view of the beach and ocean. There was only one ice machine for the entire facility and didn't always have ice. I had a coupon for 20% off room rate but they wouldn't honor it . They said it was a holiday week. Coupon did not have any exclusions written on it .They charged hotel guests for chairs around the pool and at the ocean.
The convenience of ocean and pools.
For the price of stay does not match the outdated rooms. Bathrooms need major help. Paint, plaster, furniture, beds, carpet, maintenance of patio/balcony need major repair.
Nothing hospitality was nothing more than rude hotel staff
Roachs in my hotel room, disrespectful staff, was assigned the last room right next to the check in counter and booked 3 weeks prior stay away from this hotel
rooms
price of reservation compared to walk in
The sight of the ocean
already said.
The view and outside facilities are extrodinary.
The room was worn and dirty. Water temperature oscillated from scorcing hot to freezing (making showers a nightmare). The beds were uncomfortable. The blanket on one was stained. The firniture was missing pulls. The room was something you'd expect to find in a cheap motel, not a resort.
