Cons: "We were stranded in Lima for 12 hours! Supervisors were not showing up at all. They kept lying to us. We, the passengers, caught them in one lie after the other. First, flight was delayed until 2pm, then 4pm, 6:30pm and finally 8:15pm. They could have told us to leave and come back at 8pm.We were there since 8am and many passengers even earlier. I was with my 6 year old daughter. I got tired of requesting a charger for my cell to be able to use it for work reasons and they kept IGNORING me and would not even make the effort. Never again Avianca."

Cons: "The landing was horrifying. After being on many commercial flights over the years I have never felt this way about a flight experience. The pilot seemed very inexperienced nor skilled at landing. The plane first took a plunge leaving everyone grabbing their seats in fear. The plane was going way too fast as we then continued descending while the plane tilted to the side and then the nose of the plane tipped downwards. To best describe the situation, the plane was completely out of control. Everyone around me was frightened and talking about the awful experience. Flight attendants nor the pilot made any mention of what happened nor did they make an announcement to make passengers aware that there may be some difficulty landing. Therefore passengers were left to wonder what really happened but it seemed as if this was the first time the pilot had flown a plane. After the landing I was sick for the rest of the day with nausea. I would like a refund and will report this matter to the FAA for answers and I believe they should investigate what happened on this flight for safety matters. I did not feel safe at all, and I have never had an experience like this. I'm afraid to ever fly AVIANCA again."

Pros: "On the flight down from Miami to Cartagena, we did not expect a meal...and since we are all vegetarians, pretty much did not get one, but the flight attendants gave us what they could. I called Avianca and requested vegetarian and received for all 6 of us! Also, pleased that my whole family was seated in one row."

Cons: "How they play yoyo with the fare....i paid about $1100.00 for a round trip flight from miami to barranquilla, and a couple of days later it dropped to half the price. On my way back from barranquilla to miami, i was excatly 4 minutes late, they refused to let me on the flight, which was not even boarding yet (1 hour away from flight time). They forced me to buy a one-way flight back, with connecting flight, for $550. I don't know if this even going to make any difference, or even be read, for that matter, but i thought i would relay that to other customers who are thinking about flying with avianca."

Cons: "I have no complaints about the actual flight. My problem is that I flew from Miami to Barranquilla Colombia. I checked one bag which had a lock on it. Nobody told me to remove it. When the bag arrived in Barranquilla it was wrapped in a plastic bag. Upon opening it the bag was open and my belongings tossed around. The lock was gone, one zipper was missing and the other zipper was damaged. Couldn't close the bag. Made a complaint in Barranquilla at the Avianca desk. They gave me another bag. Made another complaint over the internet at Avianca.com. Let see if they reimburse me."

Pros: "Just a very good honest and helpful airline - a first class service from a reasonably priced airline. I was in business class and extremely comfortable and very reasonably priced for the extra room and service"
Cons: "My office in UK needed to change my departure day electronically. She was told she needed (for complex reasons) to go to London to do this - ridiculous as we live on the Isle of Wight. The other option was I needed to go to the airport to change it and pay supplement. Luckily it was only a 30min taxi ride from my hotel. The desk staff could see the issue and resolved the problem within 20mins - extremely helpful. A shame this could not be sorted in UK by phone and email"

Cons: "I'm writing this review in behalf of my mother, who had a nightmare in Lima, Peru. Avianca changed her flight without prior notice (email or phone). She is a 72 years old woman that had a stroke three years ago, can't be exposed to any stressful situation, she needed to take medication at 9:30am LIFETIME! They didn't asked if she had a health condition, they just decided to change her flight from the one at 10:00am to the one at 5:00pm. Maybe they would be able to guess it as she was so nervous, she showed worried and confused in the counter where they informed her the "news" during check-in process. She arrived 3 1/2 hours in advance to the airport in order to avoid flight stress. She doesn't have family in Lima, so they sent her to a nice hotel (but far), arrived at 10:15am so she took her medication late. Very stressful episode for me and my family after trying to contact her as the hotel didn't let her call us (Avianca said she would have an international courtesy call). My mother called a friend of mine informing her the situation, that is how I knew about this. She didn't ate correctly that day as her food has to be low sodium. They should have arranged her flight in a same group plane and avoid old persons (with conditions) wait 9 hours. There are no words to express my frustration as nobody could help me in Avianca customer service. They should have priorities and consideration for elder people as this kind of situations are harmful for them, their blood pressure and their hearts! CERO COMMON SENSE!"

It was un possible to know how much Weight i could pack and bring with me. It was unavailable to choose a kosher meal. But overall it was un possible to explain those issues to the representatives. Each one transfer me to another one, or just transfer me to a someone that speaks spanish, with no reason. That was awful. I was 2 hours on the phone with avianca trying to solve those issues. but i gave it up. It was un possible at all. That's a shame."

Cons: "Website is misleading, it changes the travel date, and airport staff was totally unhelpful. Ticket was issued for a flight a day after and nobody was willing to help. I ended up cancelling the purchase and the passenger was not able to fly."

Cons: "Where should I start? Check-in process was extremely disrespectful. Person at checking desk did not care about me, my situation, or my luggage. Simply threw my luggage around the back belt. Asked person to add my Star Alliance number, person said it was already there, when it really wasn't. Asked person to re-print tickets to confirm number was there, and only then did she actually put the number in. Informed this person I had forgot to put FAA lock on baggage, to which she told me it would take 1hr to get my luggage back, when the luggage was right behind her, sitting there. I asked another gentlemen to reach for my bag, and only then was it brought back to me to put the lock on. On my flight back, checkin at EZE was extremely disrespectful and instead of assisting me with my luggage, was told I wasn't following Avianca policy and it was my problem only. Wasn't given any suggestions, recommendations or given any other options. Simply left to figure it out on my own or pay an outrageous 200 dollar fee on top of my already expensive ticket due to only a few Kilograms over. Boarding by groups was completely ignored. Boarding was a disaster with everyone rushing onto the plane, being disrespectful, flight attendants did not help, one of them even hit me on the head while trying to shove a suitcase in the over head compartment and it falling on me. Crew were busy in the back speaking to other crew member dressed in civilian who were busy on vacation flights. They were giving each other alcoholic drinks, laughing and enjoying themselves without any regard to the passengers around them. Their chatting and laughing was louder than my audio when trying to listen to entertainment on my system and wouldn't allow me to sleep. After informing a crew member of my discontent, nothing was done. Comfort was horrible. Seats would not recline. If they did recline they would recline without me even pressing the button which would lead the crew to push my seat upright during takeoff and landing. When trying to explain issues with seats, crew would relocate me to a different seat in the back of the plane, completely disregarding my seat preference and baggage location. Most seats had no cushioning at all, and you could feel the metal seat frame. Bathrooms were never cleaned, and toilet paper would run out. When informing crew, they told me they would replace toilet paper, but never did. Had to use hand wipes to clean myself instead of toilet paper. Food was also horrible. Most of the time, and by the time the food got to me at the end, the food was cold, they were out of most of the items. Drinks came much later, 30 minutes after me having "finished" the food. Once that finished, attendants didn't retrieve the trays until the captain announced we were descending/landing into the airport. Entertainment systems kept rebooting, freezing. Buttons didn't work, remote control systems were dirty and didn't work half the time. Worst flight experience of my life."

Further they were tellin me I couldn't get in my flight and have my luggage go later, but I understand because of security reasons. Finally it was 10 min til my flight left, I asked how about if I walk my bags through security check point; have TSA examine them and then they get placed in the plane like oversized carry ons normally do? Ding I struck a light bulb and they said yea why not. After a few phone calls later I was walking with my bags through TSA. It took me to think this up for Delta. A minute too late was the original response from the first agent. 1 minute! Not 10 not 5 she said the computer just got locked out. I was going to miss my flight for 1 min time restraint. The first agent didn't care and just blew me away. Thankfully the next agent tried. I had to throw away all my toiletries because TSA wouldn't let them through."

I paid for those tickets for that flight, so the seats should not have been given to anyone else. It's not like they were out any money. The tickets were already paid for and seats assigned to us. Was held up because of inadequate staffing of security screening."

Cons: "When my flight with American Airlines cancelled, I felt so panicked because I needed to be in Florida on Saturday night. But thankfully, lady who works for American Airlines solved my problem on the phone in couple of minutes easily. After that, when we were boarding to the aircraft, there was a cabin attendant lady. She came to us and ask me and my mother if we can talk English.I answered her with yes we can, but she demands to talk with my mother. And English is not her native language, but it doesn't prove that she doesn't know it. She tried to ask questions to her like, "where were you today?" so we couldn't really understand the reason for her to ask those questions in the first place. So we couldn't really say anything. While we were talking about my mother's English, the all aircraft was watching us, and trying to figure out what was going on. After all, she made us to sit there and wait her to replace us with other passengers. We waited the whole aircraft to be seated, then she took us to another seat with my mother. I can understand that it is her job but I'm not sure, if it had to be that much discomfort. We got pretty upset about it and it affects our flight quality. Plus, while cabin crew serving beverages, they didn't really ask us anything. We needed to call them for our order. To be honest, I would never flight with Delta. It was a disappointment."

Cons: "I was traveling with a piece of artwork and had to check it in oversized luggage, but as I was going through customs, I wasn't allowed in, because the Westjet team couldn't find it. I was escorted to their waiting zone, where I spent 1.5 hours waiting in limbo trying to figure out what I could do. Thank goodness the flight was delayed 80 minutes, because I was finally able to make the flight with 2 minutes to spare after running to the gates. The flight time, 65 minutes. I find it hard to believe the flight got delayed an entire flight. To couple that, when the plane landed in LGA (where I am as I write this), we're stranded on the runway because we don't have clearance to pull into our taxi area."

Cons: "I flew home on the LATAM600 Lima to LAX. My flight was suppose to leave noon on May 25. Unfortunately we were delayed until noon the following day, May 26. I understand these matters are out of attendant's control, but the changes were not communicated in English and everyone was extremely slow to get us situated. Our flight was officially canceled at 5:30 pm, and it took five more hours for the attendants to get us to a hotel. In the morning, the transportation was not communicated well that I missed the bus. During all this, they never tried to re-book anyone either. I would pass on flying LATAM in the future."

They said I would have to go back downstairs to the desk again. have a visible disability that affects the way I walk, and typically I do not require a wheelchair. I give myself enough time to get to my destination, but thanks to Brunella I was running incredibly late. I finally arrived though my flight was then rerouted to Orlando due to weather conditions at Miami and never arrived in Miami. The pilot of this flight LA2514 decided he was done and wouldn't fly there at all. The passengers were informed they would take buses to Miami."

Pros: "I flew from Baltimore to Miami to Bogotá with zero issues. I am a musician and was traveling with my guitar, nobody hassled me and there was adequate space. The only issue was in Bogotá for my return flight. After struggling with the LATAM kiosk machine I was told by a LATAM ticket agent that flights from Bogotá to Miami are through American Airlines. Luckily a very nice American Airline agent accompanied me back to LATAM and convinced them my flight was with LATAM. Everything else was simple and easy!"

Cons: "One of my bags was damaged on the direct flight from Santiago to Miami. It looked like it had been dragged down the runway. I showed this to Latan representative Angel Pupulin in Miami who's first statement was, "Latan is not responsible." He was rude and initially refused to even fill out a damaged bag report. I explained that I would call my credit card company and put a non-authorization on $2500 worth of tickets. He continued to speak to me in Spanish although I told him, " No habla Espanol." He spoke English but was trying to jerk me around in every way possible. This is not going to be ignored! One employee screwed up all the positives of multiple flights with Latan. I will avoid flying Latan in the future and will not recommend Latan to others."

Pros: "That was my first experience with the Airbus 380. The plane is an excellent ship and the takeoff and landing was surprisingly smooth. Flying is very stable as well. Although it has two decks you are just in one and it looks like any other long distance plane. Seats are a bit narrow but comfortable. Entertainment is individual and plenty of options. Economy cabin is divided in two sections and each section has its own lavatories."
Cons: "The boarding and disembarking operation is never-ending and of course economy class has to wait until business and first -that are considerably large- have completed their getting out. Even with two exits for the two decks it was very slow. On boarding I also noticed that several passengers boarded the wrong deck: nobody but a generic sign was telling them what gate was theirs. With 450 or 500 passengers the chance that something goes wrong increases. In our case a passenger didn't make the connexion and the luggage had to be removed. Food is just fine. Surprisingly the beverage was extremely short of options: just wine or water, no coke or sodas. Same with supper: just coffee, water or juice. The trip was long -9 hours- but no water was offered between meals."

That is unbelievable and unacceptable in 2018. Seats pitch was pretty small and I even had to fly on a broken seat that would not recline, for a 11 hours flight. The most uncomfortable flight I have ever flew. If that wasn't enough to make the experience the worst possible, flight attendance was rude! I strongly suggest to avoid American Airlines at all cost."

The ladies who at the departure counter have different asnwer for my checked in baggage. I/m so tired from this domestic flight that I haven't completed."

Cons: "there was a slight problem with the food. there was a large percentage of the flight that was Israeli and therefore respects basic Jewish tradition of not mixing meat with milk. One of the meals was pasta with sauce (which was supposed to be the least popular meal) and a meal with chicken and rice. the rice had cheese in it, a large percentage of the people on the flight were unable to eat it. Only after finding out about the cheese did I understand why no one took te chicken dish."

My husband had to board early because his foot was in a special brace after recent surgery. They could only move him to a center seat where he would hae to risk someone stepping on his foot. We are 70 years old.We had one small meal on an 8.5 hour flight."

Yet after n boarding there were seats physically available that were not offered by check in staff. Meal trash was left for far too long before collection in our seats which was upper deck final rear cabin. Plane noise during flight was very low, excellent. Miami Airport is a logistical immigration process nightmare. We look forward to BA using FLL instead directly from the UK."

Pros: "The flight attendants were courteous and friendly. Boarding was easy."
Cons: "The designer of the business class seats used by British Aiways is surely an acrobat who flies no longer that's two hours. And those at British Aiways who bought into this design probably don't fly at all. Passengers who are sitting in a window seat must literally walk over the passenger in the aisle seat in order to get to the aisle. Flight attendants must serve the passengers on window seats right over those sitting in the aisles. The seats are narrow, and if you're sitting in the aisle, you don't even have a space to put your bottle of water or reading glasses. I can go on and on. This is my last flight on British if I can manage."

Pros: "The entertainment selection was good. They provided a lot of options at no additional cost. Some of the crew was pleasant."
Cons: "In all fairness to British airways this was actually "operated by AA" and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Traffic to get into the airport was the worst I've ever seen. When we finally arrived, Although we checked in prior to arrival, we still had to wait in line for over an hour to check in our bags! We told the agents three times our flight was boarding, however, they were almost nasty and would not expedite us. they finally started to call our flight and we were pulled from the line, even then it was very disorganized how we were processed. We had to run through security and the long terminal and along with others in our flight that had been in line, were the last to board as the flight was delayed waiting for us. One of the worst experiences ever. They really need to do something about their check in process as we were not the only ones subjected to these delays. The plane had technical problems landing and had to be towed in but thank God we made it."

Pros: "I tried to check in online but was prompted to check in at the airport. At the airport kiosk I checked in and got a terrible seat two rows from the back. Food was mediocre and entrainment fair. The flight crew were ok not exceptional. Aircraft was nice and clean. Other than poor seating the flight was smooth. I've had better flights overseas."
Cons: "See above I should asked for another seat there were plenty of vacancies."

Cons: "Seat assignments kept disappearing It took 45 minutes at check-in to get seat assignments once again for the third time for my flight segments These people shouldn't be allowed to fly planes"

Pros: "The flight from Denver to Barcelona through Miami, is easy and direct. The restroom was without water and bit unsanitary."

Pros: "Great selection of movies and entertainment"
Cons: "Flight attendants were very disorganized, did not answer calls and were not on time to serve the passengers. The snack just before arriving was served 30 min late and they were rushing to clean up; they finished just in time before touchdown. I heard one saying "we're landing in 1.5 hours while serving the snack and the flight tracker showed about 50 min. They even dropped an empty can from the trash bag on me and not a single apology."

Cons: "We don't have the tv in the flight ..."

Pros: "The food was ok and the movie was ok."
Cons: "The flight was operated by American Airlines. They decided to do an extra random security check before boarding, even after having passed all other security check points. This felt very invasive and unnecessary."
