Incredible location, super comfortable, forces you to actually relax and unplug. Great cocktails and wine.
Food is good, but not quite up to meeting my expectations for that price point (not a lot of options around though). Definitely $$$
Food was good. Rooms comfortable.
The design/ owner(?) team was on site. Very obvious presence; not a positive vibe. Property is in obvious continual improvement process. Except for rooms, not a huge difference in feel as compared to previous state of hotel. You are paying for the location, which is beautiful, but level of experience does not equate to price (especially time of year). Landscaping around hotel is unsafe with trails(?) that go nowhere, have minimal/ no safety features such as lighting, obvious pathways and furnishings dangerously close to edge of cliffs.
This place is fantastic. It is perched right over the pacific and the views are breathtaking. The room was very comfortable and stylish. The common areas, bar, and restaurant are so delightfully Californian. This is a WONDERFUL place to stay, albeit a bit of a splurge at the price.
A bit expensive, but it is truly a special place...worth the splurge for the right occasion.
The location and view was great. The vibe was great - with views, games, record player etc.
Bathroom was dirty - switched rooms and it was dirty again (lots of hair on the shower wall).
The setting and views.
The room was too small. It did not have a table and the night stands were ridiculous. Breakfast was average and expensive. It is too isolated to live for several days in a cramped environment.
