The location near quaint shopping streets, city of David, and old city. Lovely decor and beautiful pool setting
We had an insanely poor dining experience - it took forever, wasn’t good, and was poor value - weird
Breakfast was well set out and plentiful. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Location was perfect for our requirements and room was more than adequate for our purposes
On one day only, due to room not being serviced until very late in the afternoon, we had to request bathroom replacements that had not been provided, it looked as though the servicing had been un-necessarily rushed. We had to request replacement face tissues twice before being provided
Beautiful Hotel, well situated, wonderful staff. Would gladly go back.
The bed was extra comfortable, we had a really nice time. The management were very kind with us, since it was my wife's birthday and they took a good care for us. They made a cake for my wife, and since it was a surprise she was really stunned and happy after it. As well they wrote us a short letter with warm words for our celebration, upgraded our room with a view to the old city, which was much more expensive, and for finall last treat they arranged a bottle of champagne in ice cube bouquet, without even asking them for it. Thank you very much! We enjoyed alot!
I loved the fresh orange juice at breakfast, the proximity to the gate plus the neighborhood. Also I was grateful that one of the managers, Yardana, gave us a complimentary upgrade because the first room offered to us was a travesty. That room must be renovated before you give it to anyone else!!!!!
Because this was a return visit for us, I was really excited about being at The David Citadel once again. However, what a disappointment this time!!! Compared to my stay a few years ago, the staff was quite poor and untrained at breakfast compared to our last visit. In addition, we were initially given a dark, dingy and tired room with stained rugs and broken trim on the chairs. Thank goodness I complained and they did give us a better room with an old city view. I was grateful. But even the breakfast which I love was different. I love halavah, and there was ONLY one kind this time. You used to have at least 5-6 different flavors. Additionally the salads were very good. However, you really must train your waiters and busboys to be more service oriented especially at breakfast....and offer coffee etc.
