Reef Hotel

The hotel room was clean and refreshments were given on a daily basis. Polite reception staff.

All the restaurants located in the hotel are a pure nightmare, the room service is the worst, the order was taken to another room by mistake and no one bothered apologising. I had to make a call and it was already 22:00 then only was I informed the food was taken to the wrong room which meant I was never gonna get it until I called and asked for it, and note the room service food order was made at 20:00. Staff doesn't know maths, how did they get hired, they almost overcharged us for a meal, and on top of that all restaurants in the hotel have no change if you're carrying tight cash. The menu is very inconsistent, there food written on it is never there and some info on the menu is incorrect, staff doesn't even know the ingredients in the food, so if you have a food allergy you're in trouble, it was very frustrating eating at the homestead restaurant, waitress is never around when you need them once you're done. They're only around if the manager is present. This is the most horrendous restaurant, and sadly it's located in a 4* star hotel. The room carpet floor was very stinky and the closet had a bad smell. One night it rained outside and basically we were in a leaking room and we put a bin were it was leaking and we reported the matter at 11:15am and they never apologised but suggested that we were gonna be removed and given another room, what's worse is that it was a cold day all day and we had to wait in that cold room, which we waited until it was 14:30 in the afternoon and nothing had been done, we called reception to remind them and they said they were coming with a new key for another room and we packed our things and waited, till 15:30pm and we had enough and went down to reception to ask them what was taking for ever, still they didn't apologize but that's only when they actually came to help us move to another room.

Nothing about this hotel

The rooms are very bad especially the ceiling which is old concrete and had water marks and moulds growing on it. A very bad sight to behold. The worst and regrettable experience with hotel ever
