First Colony Inn - Nags Head - Building
1
9.4 Excellent (445 reviews)
C$ 163+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at The First Colony Inn in Nags Head, you'll be by the ocean, within a 15-minute drive of Wright Brothers National Memorial and Jennette's Pier. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast. Enjoyed the social in the afternoon.
Cons: TV remote control. Difficult to change stations.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: My only issue was trying to get ahold of someone at the Inn prior to our stay. I called 15+ times over the course of two days and nobody ever answered. Someone finally responded to an email I sent. I would just work on having someone more readily available to answer phones because it truly soured my opinion of the inn before I even arrived.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Gardens were beautiful. Easy access to the beach. I would definitely come back!!
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The inn is located in Nag’s Head less than a block from the beach. In fact, the hotel has a private beach access from the property to the beach. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Pool is mid sized, but with the many attractions around and beach nearby, it was not crowded. There were pool toys, lounge chair and tables. My room with kitchenette was plenty spacious for a couple with a child and we also had a large bathroom with jacuzzi. Furnishings matched the historic vibe and everything was comfortable. Room had access to shared wrap around porch with chairs and swing chairs. Very well maintained. Breakfast and afternoon snack with wine/juice, crackers and cheese were available daily. These were nice touches and appreciated.
Cons: Although well maintained I felt that some of the furniture could be reupholstered for a more “vibrant” look. Also, blackout shades would be appreciated in the bedroom as well another solution for the bathroom window which only had blinds. Perhaps sand blast glass or curtains or something like that for an added layer of privacy. Also, breakfast area was small and felt tight, but food was good and I didn’t mind a bit eating outdoors in one of the several outdoor tables on lawn. These were only minor things that I provide as improvements, but I would recommend this place to friends and would certainly stay here again myself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this is an historic Nags Head hotel set in generous and beautifully landscaped grounds. perfect and minutes from everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Facilities could accommodate full made to order breakfast. I’m a chef so I can see how easy it would be to transform the breakfast into something extra special. Other than a premade quiche, the breakfast was to me, continental.
Cons: Breakfast area was very small and very crowded. I am a business traveler, so families with children dropping food on the floor, noisy, not exactly a peaceful breakfast. I would suggest opening up the patio with umbrellas on mornings that are nice so that people could sit outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The style was awesome, traditional. Very clean, neat & interesting. Old style building that has been well maintained. Cant wait to go back.
Cons: Everything about it was great. Personally think a Hot tub would be a great addition. and may be a fire bowl on the deck or fire pit in the yard for colder evenings. For our taste the evening social could be scheduled a little later. But awesome as is.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The private access beach was an extra hike but we didn’t mind because everything was a lot less crowded. First Colony In was not commercial at all and exactly what we were looking for.
Cons: I was hoping for a more comfortable bed but it was endurable. I would say the building was a little aged and could use remodeling.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Aesthetically pleasing. Great location. Short walk to the beach.
Cons: Management's environmental concern is not without drawbacks. Towels and sheets aren't changed. They should go green in ways that don't detract from the expected fine hotel experience.
7.0 Good
Pros: Quaint and charming.
Cons: The bed squeaked every time someone moved. Not cool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was adequate. Very nice rooms. Nice location.
Cons: The shower in our room was very small. A very large person would not fit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was excellent the staff was very friendly and accommodating! Breakfast everyday was great
Cons: Everything was wonderful.
Shutters on The Banks - Kill Devil Hills - Building

9.0 Excellent (1,328 reviews)
C$ 154+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Shutters on the Banks in Kill Devil Hills, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Wright Brothers National Memorial and Jennette's Pier. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location , right on the beach . The indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub were nice .It was my sons birthday and they wrote Happy Birthday on their sign for him ☺️
Cons: Not much to not like .
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great!
Cons: We didn’t like the pillows on the beds.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Shame for the price
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good.
Cons: Price.
7.5 Good
Cons: Ice machine to far need more. 1 or 2 in each building
8.2 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed how small the hotel grounds are - the ice, laundry, pool, front desk, etc are all very short walks, as is the beach! Also a great location in general.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty typical for a “continental” breakfast, but we didn’t want to force down powdered eggs. Try Miller’s Steakhouse for breakfast right down the street.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location of the beach to the hotel.
Cons: I thought for the price i paid my room would be beach side.
7.5 Good
Pros: Was a great place to stay, would stay again no problems.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach access, the pools, and the spacious room.
Cons: The noise.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Location to the the beach was perfect - the beach is in your backyard! The hotel property and room were very clean. Staff was super nice at all times. Will make request for ocean view next time :-) Lovely room and we'll definitely return.
Cons: We thought the placement of the bathroom was weird. You walk in the front door and boom - it's there. The carpet was wet-ish at times in areas, but it wasn't sopping wet - just not completely dry either. We had some flies get in the room, but that's kind of expected when you're at the beachfront. Fitness area could be better/larger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean, comfortable room. Beautiful beach with perfect access. Delicious breakfast very comfortable accommodations. I loved the lobby. Pools looked great.
Cons: I’m used to Swedish foam topper so the firm mattress was not as soft as I am accustom to.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Motel room at the beach...needs a renovation!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family was very pleased with the hotel, and plan to return, when the rates are reduced.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location. Very private and family oriented. Pier was perfect for hubby to fish, pools indoor and out were perfect for the kiddos, as well as hot tub for mom (me). Plus the free coffee bar available 24/7
Cons: The only downfall was sharing a small room with our 4 children. But I realized when we booked it was only 2 full size beds, so I wish there was the option of a condo or a room with 2 bathrooms. It made it difficult when showering or toileting as we used the bathroom in the lobby when ours was occupied by each other. If I could find a place w a condo, all the other needs were met by my family. We loved the Hilton Garden Inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and laid-back.
Cons: No complaints
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room & lobby area and great location.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Room smelled like mildew, a/c was located right outside my balcony doors, very noisy, bath tub didn’t drain, toilet needed flapper, balcony required cleaning, lots of things in the rooms should have been taken care of prior to stay. Unsupervised children in the pools, very disturbing. I’ve stayed at this location several trips and I’ve never had this bad of an experience. I had 2 other couples checked in at this location as well. It seems housekeeping would notice these things or inform someone of necessary repairs.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Great location! Its the fourth time I'm staying there, whatever reason all four times to get a handicap room, very expensive for what I get. Decided this time will not go back.
Cons: Handicap rooms which I did not mean smell.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff... very accommodating
Cons: Liked it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the ocean from the room. The accommodations were perfect!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Cons: We had to leave early because of the hurricane
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent location Great amenities
Cons: Maintenance- hire more staff When I go away and pay the money I paid, I don’t want spider webs and bugs all over the balcony It looked like it was never touched. The wind came thru cracks around the slider door so loud, it kept us up at nite. Water pressure was extremely low. Made showering difficult I expect more from a Hilton property.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Good food options nearby.
Cons: Room cleaning needs to be improved. For two days room cleaning was not done. Had to remind front desk on both the days
7.9 Good
Pros: Overall staff at desk and restaurant and property was good
Cons: Had to call for towels everyday and the room was not cleaned well

7.5 Good
Pros: We liked the location, being our 1st time in Nags Head,
Cons: The breakfast was differently better then most, seems like a lot of effort goes into the breakfast, maybe more fresh fruit, instead of frozen, the coffee was just so so, over all our stay was good
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Enjoyed flexibility of Indoor pool and hot tub plus outdoor pool. View of beach and morning sunrise was exceptional. Bathroom had apparently just been renovated, like new. Separate cooler to fill your ice chests.
Cons: AC unit was loud and vented to small balcony.
7.5 Good
Pros: the breakfast was tasty and the location as it was shown in the photos ,although we requested an ocean view we were placed in a room with a partial ocean view partial parking view !
Cons: the partial parking view and the noise brcause of it

Pros: Location was perfect. View of the water from most rooms. Right in the sand with two pools. It was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was big with many options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly. The location was excellent, we had an ocean view room and we had a great view of the ocean.
Cons: The breakfast was poor. Very few healthy options. No eggs or bacon and the weakest coffee I have ever had. The fruit was frozen. Some fresh scrambled eggs and fresh fruit would have been a great addition.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very clean with friendly staff!
Cons: Bathroom was a little small.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Love the people, they worked very hard to make our stay wonderful and loved the breakfast, pool and hot tub.
Cons: Bathrooms in building D were a little small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beach, pool, location. Cleanliness
Cons: Requested higher floor, given first floor ocean front. Checked in early so we could get a higher floor. Office said no.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff, view and location were perfect! Felt very private on the beach since public access and other hotels were not too close. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit small and the room (carpet) could have been a touch cleaner. The individuals that previously occupied this room discarded their oyster shells off of the balcony, so there was a slight odor of decomposing seafood.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A homey hotel next to an 8 foot deep pool next to the sand. Located next to an ice cream shop and bike rental shop. Major grocery stores are a 5 minute drive away. Amazing resturants so closeby!!! Will return next year
Cons: Literally everything was nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff . It was great that they had chocolate chip cookies every evening. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool or heading down to the beach . It was also a nice touch that there was lemon water available all day in the hall to te pool.
Cons: A few of the days that we were guests the breakfast room ran out of milk. Also the yogurt parfaits were never available, The first day of our stay I asked about them but the breakfast room staff said that there weren't anymore, and this was at 8:30 in the morning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the little apartment, it truly felt like home away from home and having all the little amenities was a nice touch!
Cons: Just wish there was a broom, to sweep the sand away
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The water splash park was a big hit with the kids. The outdoor pool is beautiful. The paddle boats were fun, you can ride under a fountain. The property is clean and well maintained.
Cons: Half the staff is a little unhappy looking and there is a sense of oh-do-I-really-have-to-do-this-job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Size of the room was great!
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff here were absolutely fantastic! Particularly Debbie, the Aquatics and Activities Director. They have fun activities throughout the day all week - many of which to require and extra charge.
Cons: The facilities need help. Common areas such as the welcome center and lodge look great, but out villa needed repair. Worn tread on stairs, an outdoor shower with no shower head - the plumbing hanging loose from a crooked pole outside, chunks of paint missing from the walls indoors, outdoor balcony COVERED in spiderwebs and outdoor furniture dangerously rusted. Walls were paperthin. Night one when adjoining unit was unoccupied. Night two when new guests moved in was a sleepless night for everyone in our unit. It sounded as if the neighbors were in our living room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy accessibility to pools.
Cons: We were woken up at 3am by banging, screaming, and doors slamming. Our neighbors we very rude and woke all 3 of my children. It pretty much ruined the entire next day as the kids were exhausted. There should be a curfew/quiet time for the property. Also the pool showers were very dirty.
7.5 Good
Pros: The resort is beautiful as it sits back in the woods. There is plenty to do: indoor water park/pool, trails, arcade, gym, beaches nearby, etc.
Cons: They really push their timeshare program. I initially expressed possible interest in participating in their presentation (a 120-minute presentation), but when I didn't return the paperwork, the concierge called my cell phone daily to check in about our participation. (FYI-the reason I changed my mind was based on the fact that BOTH spouses have to attend and your kids are sent to a childcare room -- I don't just trust anyone with my kids and that said, did not want to leave them with people I don't know. In addition, once I looked up reviews online about their program, the negative outweighed the positive and I was turned off. Lastly, it was our first time in Outer Banks and we were only there for four days and didn't want to eat up our time sitting in on this presentation. Hindsight, I should've taken the call from the concierge and declined, but, hey, I was on vacation-I barely answer my cell phone when I'm at home and I certainly wasn't answering it on vacay :) Aside from this slight annoyance though (and the lift gate at the entrance which was difficult, at times), it really was a great place to stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The indoor water park is great for kids. They have smaller slides for kids as well as a large slide for over 48" kids. Max indoor pool depth is 3'6". Lazy river is fantastic. Walmart is just up the road and they have a private lot for beach parking, just use you room key to gain access and its a block from the beach.
Cons: It is higher than other hotels in the area but there is a lot to do on site. There is a 28 dollar/day resort fee to factor in that is separate from the booking price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing.
Cons: Check out is 10am. You’re able to stay on the property with access to the property amenities but your not able to keep ur key card to access those amenities. You have to contact a staff member.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Resort and close to everything.
Cons: Shower head. I know we have to conserve water but there are much better low flow shower heads
7.5 Good
Pros: I really could appreciate all of the amenities the property has like paddle boating, water slide, gym, etc.
Cons: The time share marketing.
7.5 Good
Cons: The reception gave us an unfinished room when we got there. And it took a long time to change the room while we’re really hungry.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, great location
Cons: Too much light in bedroom from outside flood lights

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: The room we paid for was extremely small. It appeared that the sheet were never changes and sand was all over them. I broke out in a rash after laying on the sheets. Bathroom was too small. Do not stay here. Also, you have to cook your own breakfast here using waffle makers. We left after first night of visit and got another hotel. The front desk was not surprised we were leaving and were not apologetic.
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked the room, location and staff
Cons: It would have nice to have another TV in the sitting area of the suite
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was very small
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room size was not bad. The breakfast was good.
Cons: We were expecting a smaller room which we were fine with. We were also expecting it to have an outside entrance. It did not, we felt like it was more of a bed and breakfast feel. But when you are at a beach area you would like to have more of the breeze and a window. Our one little window was covered with one of those outdoor shutters. NO VIEW! We couldn’t get the TV or the safe to work the first night. Our refrigerator has to be replaced because that wasn’t keeping cold. The door handle to get into our room kept sticking. So you literally have to throw your weight into it! The room was clean when we first checked in. However, the only thing that was done during our stay was the bed was made.

Pros: It's on the beach.
Cons: Room temp didn't adjust, bedding smelled like chlorine bleach, and the corners of the room weren't clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great beach access
Cons: Beds not the most comfortable
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome! Enough for two meals. We often choose condos for our vacation but chose a long room this time. The king room was spacious and the mini kitchen was perfect. A microwave is always nice and the mini fridge had a freezer that worked! (Many often don’t.) Also the extra little sink was a nice bonus and we used it often.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful ocean front view and so close to ocean. Breathtaking. Live music and bistro are great!
Cons: The restrooms and doorways are not handicap accessible and though there’s an elevator the doors are too small for wheelchairs
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was great. It is steps from the beach. We loved the pool. Many times we were in an empty pool. The seaside restaurant was great for breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are a little outdated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view...friendly staff...restaurant was priced reasonably...over all loved our stay!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is absolutely fantastic. It is close to everything and it is right on the beach. I would give it another try if I was guaranteed a Room in the new building.
Cons: The location was fantastic and I heard that if you had one of the rooms in the new building that it was a wonderful place to stay, but if you get this off of booking.com you will probably be stuck in the old building. The AC was hurting and there was a dehumidifier in the room that when we plugged it in was at 90% because the humidity was so high from the horrible AC. I am assuming the housekeepers are supposed to be emptying it, but the alarm beeps went off because it was full and we had to continually empty it ourselves. It's it had been an hour later it would have woken us up and we would have had to figure out what it was and emptied it. There is a door that separates the new building from the old building that has to remain closed so that the new building gets the good AC and keeps the good AC out of the very inefficient old building. It is literally a cold slap in the face every time you open that door from the old building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, restaurant was great! Pool a little cool needs warmer
Cons: pool water too cold
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was perfect as it was right on the beach, no long walks over dunes. The view from the balcony was awesome!
Cons: Only one elevator was working, but was not a big concern. Although clean, the rooms are showing wear from humidity.

Cons: Older building but for my needs well and very clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was a great location and near the beach but do not believe these pictures!!!!!! We checked it around 4:30 and we were gone by 7!!!! Gross hotel bugs dead on the wall the window seal in the bathroom was disgusting. The hot water barely worked and the shower wouldn’t even spray off the sand on me! The pressure was AWFUL!!!!
Cons: The room was small like a prison cell it hasn’t been redone or throughly cleaned since the 60’s and for all the money they make im just so surprised how the don’t want to give the guest better! I wish before I signed the paper I would have went inside my room the check! The thought of me sleeping in that dead made me want to freak out! As soon as we pulled back the sheets a black curly hair!!! I tried to make the best of it but could not stay and was super grossed out by it ALL!!! If you want somewhere clean and refreshing to stay this is not it!!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect and the room is very clean!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has definitely been around for a while. It is old, but we knew we weren't staying at the Ritz. The room, bedding, and bathroom were clean though and that's what mattered. Rooms did not smell like smoke which was also a positive. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend the obx motor lodge to a friend. Great restaurant across the street too!
7.5 Good
Pros: Th property was small so there weren't lots of people on the beach which was directly accessible to the rooms. It was quiet. No loud parties. The room was very clean. Big fridge.
Cons: The door lock was very hard to operate and the door stuck when trying to open from inside. I almost panicked when I tried to get out and the door was swollen shut. I thought what if there was a fire? Also only1 plug available for hairdryer was across the room and could sort of see in mirror to style my hair. The air conditioner had lots of dust on the vents and smelled musty. Only window to open was in the bathroom and had a huge hole in it.
7.5 Good
Pros: easy access to the beach and the pool
Cons: Had to leave because of Hurricane Dorian
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beach at your front door Fine location
Cons: No Screens in windows..update bathrooms...nasty sinks could have been better.

Pros: The front desk clerk was the most friendly and fun person we encountered. She is what made our stay fun and special. She made us feel as if we were at home and she had been our neighbor for 20 years
Cons: The smug older guy that was bartending just had a rotten attitude to be a bartender.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great! Staff was super friendly.
Cons: I had my dog with me, I wish I could've gotten to the front of the building, from my room facing the beach, without walking through the hotel. Otherwise it was perfect!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The front desk clerk Amanda was there every time we came down. She was GREAT with answering any questions and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Pros: Location was great! Right on the oceanfront and near several good restaurants.
Cons: We paid a lot for our room, possibly due to the Labor Day weekend demand, over $200 a night. The room was dated, the bed was hard, the ceramic floors had us fighting sand between toes feeling at all times. Just not an overall feeling of comfort for the money.

Cons: Hurricane Dorian. Had to evacuate on my BIRTHDAY.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. Great views. Easy access.
Cons: The was a plate missing from the outlet behind the bed. Major safety hazard. If that sheet touches the contacts, instant fire in the bed. It's a $1.00 outlet cover part and has one screw, to prevent a fire! Come on! It's also a code violation.

Cons: Give your guests a choice of eggs.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was great.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The ocean view
Cons: Facility is falling apart. Place has not been updated and has many safety hazards. Pool was dirty never vacuumed. Carpets dirty. Balcony dirty and chairs on it disgusting. Bathroom vent didn’t work. Dirty tissue box in bathroom. Balcony door falling off hinges. Unable to lock balcony door. Wires coming up out of floor to air conditioning where pet could get to it. No Smoking around facility not enforced. Price to stay at this type facility was outrageous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the rooms and location are absolutely amazing. This was our second trip here. We travel with our dog, so we chose this place for the pet friendliness. The continental breakfast is delicious and offers lots of choices daily and we feel at home here, away from home. Staff are very friendly and ready to assist with anything you need or questions you have.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is in a great location and pet friendly. Our rooms had a fantastic view of the beach.
Cons: Front desk was less than pleasant. There was an issue with my reservation that had nothing to do with me. I appreciate that there are situations that can be frustrating, but anyone who works at the front desk of a hotel, should be all about customer service and less about attitude. Our bathroom was fully stocked, but less than clean.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Hall ways were stained and musty smelling
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location.
Cons: It filthy and rundown. The staff was unfriendly and a couple of them were even rude. I got injured by the door of my room and all I got from them was a couple of bandaids.

Pros: Location across from beach was good. Towels were clean and fresh. Sheets were OK, but bedspreads were questionable.
Cons: Old motel had not been updated. Microwave and refrigerator old . There were no racks in the refrigerator. Carpet dirty. Lighting inadequate. (Floor lamp had no bulb.) There was no electrical outlet in bathroom for hairdryer. We had to unplug microwave from power strip to use hairdryer near a mirror in the bedroom. The curtains were awful, especially the ones at back of room. The unit had a very unacceptable odor. Bathroom exhaust fan worked but its light was dim and the plastic cover was brown with age and cracked. Although the fan's motor worked, it did not do the job it was designed to do.

Pros: This hotel has a fantastic location and put you about a hundred feet to the water, unfortunately it's a typical beach hotel, salt and high traffic shows everywhere. No breakfast unless you want $10 a person. 3 days was $---, vrbo
Cons: Its rundown and for $--- for 3 nights you can get a vrbo and have an entire house.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location of the hotel.
Cons: The bedroom was not very clean. The bathroom flooded constantly. The safe in the room did not work. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby because our bathroom flood was like a lake.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and you didn’t have to leave unless you wanted to everything you need is there. Room, bar, restaurant, beach
Cons: It didn’t have an outside pool. Not a big deal if you don’t go to the pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love the location right on the beach and having a tiki bar with the ocean view to be able to grab a drink after coming off the beach was fantastic. The staff and the restaurant people were excellent and friendly.. so far this is our favorite hotel in the Outer Banks for the value.
Cons: The whirlpool broke while we were there other than that there is no things that we were unhappy with. We understand those things happen so we don't rate the hotel poorly because of it just bad timing.

Pros: We loved everything! Especially the tiki bar.
Cons: The bed was a little soft for our taste and the bottom sheet did not stay on the mattress. The floor in the room was dirty and gritty, but its the beach, so sand gets everywhere. The breakfast buffet was disorganized and several items were not available because they were not replenished (fruit, white bread for toast).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The tiki bar and places to hang out by the beach without getting sandy. Beach access, the balcony with a view of the ocean. The bed was so comfortable. Very good location with places to eat that you can walk to.
Cons: For the price of the room breakfast should be free. The bathroom is so small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Tiki bar with ocean views. Umbrella and chair rentals as you walk down to the beach.
Cons: For $10/ day the breakfast was okay. We stayed three nights and the breakfast menu was the same - no variety. We didnt even eat breakfast the last day eventhough it was prepaid for the entire stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property was nice, great location on the beach, enjoyed the room balcony access, & restaurant balcony view on the beach.
Cons: The restaurant breakfast food was terrible & not s place I would eat at again. That was disappointing because it was so convenient to access in the morning. Because of this is was reluctant to eat at the hotel for any other meals. The bathroom could also use some upgrading & place to hang towels.

Pros: Breakfast was great and the location was perfect.
Cons: The ground floor was loud with dogs barking. The rooms were also loud in general from hallway and adjacent rooms.

Cons: See prior comment, Air Conditioner keeps you awake, Bathroom is not Ventilated nor Air Conditioned, Creating mold to grow on shower wall.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property is right across the beach, very convenient!
Cons: Bathrooms and rooms are EXTREMELY small, there is no insulation so you can clearly hear the people in the other bedrooms (in the 2 bedroom apartment) and you can also hear everything from the apartment next door. The apartment was not as clean as other reviews had indicated.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Affordable price; staff were friendly and kind; rooms had cable TV, microwave, and a fridge; shower gel and soap were in a safe dispenser; walls are thick so one doesn't ever hear the neighbors; parking spot right in front of the room; keypad entry means not having to deal with cards or keys; beachfront is very close; we were able to make it work with two young babies
Cons: Shower water immediately hits the bathroom floor if you don't close the curtain; we saw a spider walking around the bathroom; space is tiny; air conditioner is unpredictable—it either blows too hard or doesn't blow at all
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The photos for the room paid for through booking.com were not for the actual room we received. The room we received was much much smaller with full size bed, tiny fridge, microwave and mini flat bottom coffee maker. No kitchen/living room/bedroom/stove. The standing shower room is really tiny but I am petite so it’s enough space for me. If you are 200+lbs then it might be too small for you, and if your partner is also 200+lb then consider getting the room that sleeps 4-6. Other than expecting a more spacious room, everything else is great! Location is perfect for beach and nearby Kmart. There’s a restaurant/bar right next to it too! Staff members are super friendly and helpful. I would def reconsider staying here again!

Pros: The 2 bedroom apartment was very well stocked. Very clean. The property was in a good location near the beach.
Cons: The only ac was one unit in the living area. So the bedrooms got a little warm.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Was able to get a reservation at the time I needed it.
Cons: when pulling back the blankets to go to bed the sheets were dirty, they were stained with something brown. was unable to sleep on the sheets. felt very unclean. Could not reach out to anyone to help with this issue because the office was closed by the time I realized there was an issue. Had to leave early the next morning for appointment
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Our room was right beside the road. It was clean but could’ve been cleaner. Staff were friendly but tried to upsell us on stuff (bike rental, late checkout). We had already paid more than enough for our two day stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tiny rooms good for two people. Room comes with mini fridge and microwave and TV. Bathroom is small, shower a struggle if you are taller. Bed a little hard

Pros: The room was clean and very nice. I loved the update that this building got, of course I was in the building w/o pets and nonsmoking, not because I don’t like pets but because that was my preference this visit. Staff was always helpful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location!!! We could sit on the bed and look out the sliders at the beautiful ocean, pods of dolphins swimming by, etc. Our room was right beside the staircase that led to the beach.
Cons: Rooms are old and due for an update, but they were kept very clean. The bathroom lacked a fan, which made the entire room rather damp, including the carpet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, renovated room was very comfortable and clean. Excellent location, so close to the ocean.
Cons: Breakfast could include more options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean, updated , and on the beach.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The beach location was convenient.
Cons: Needs to be painted outside. Stairs up were covered with dead bugs. Mattresses were bumpy with springs noisy and easily felt. Not up to standards we expected for the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great and the design of the hotel room was great. I love the walls being part wood and part light mint green and I love the hanging door that slides from side-to-side leading to the bathroom..
Cons: Please get blow dryers in the room. Nobody wants to walk down to a separate building to go to the front desk and get a blow dryer to blow dry their hair
