Every thing was wrong....No hot water in room, chruch bell ringing all thru night ever hald an hour. The windows were not haveing 2 pane glass so noice cannot be prevented to enter. Breakfast closed before time. Very bad experience.
The staff was super friendly. The location was very good close to train and bus station. Just 1 minute walk to the lake with scenic view of alps .
Clean room, good quilt. Excellent location for the Clausjagen festivities on the 5th of December as it passes right in front. We were told it would be noisy all night long and it was, but we didn't mind since we were there for the festival!
Upon check-in, the person tried to charge us more than the booking.com price. Then he said we could only pay cash since he didn't have his credit card machine. The room was clean, but in need of some maintenance. The window was cracked, the shutters didn't work, the curtain was broken, the bedside lamp didn't work. In the bathroom, I noted the bath mat was frayed and looked like a rag. I had to run the water for a minimum of 5 minutes before I could get hot water. The bed was also a bit hard for me. We were told in advance via email that there would be no breakfast included due to the festival but they should have given a reduction for that fact.
Bathroom - not sure many would want to step in the shower cabin - yellow, grim, hair on floor.. TV in room - "No signal".. church just beside = church bell :-) very minimalistic breakfast (but OK - I am not breakfast person)..
Check-in and Check-out were really fast. The room was quite spacious. The hotel is right in the center of the village, very close to the lake.
The hotel in its entirety is quite old, even though the main building looks quite nice from the outside. Breakfast didn't have many options, for instance no margarine or soy/oat/other-vegan milk (at least not in the buffet, we didn't ask). The breakfast room was also quite cold. The hotel is right next to the church, whose bells ring every 15 minutes, and on Sunday morning for a longer time, so that's not ideal for people who are sensitive about noise.
With a stay at Hotel Zum Hirschen in Kuessnacht, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Swiss Transportation Museum and Loewenplatz.
