Great location, very close to train and bus. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Lovely japanese- style room with futon.
Be careful - the stairs are very steep down to the loo. Shower is outside.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hostel as it is good value for money. It is in a great location near the main station. We hired bikes form there and cycled to all the main sites in Kyoto. The staff were welcoming and gave us local recommendations.
Unfortunately the hot water wasn’t working upstairs, hopefully it will be fixed soon!
