The building the quietness the staff
The towels were seriously hard like cardboard hopefully that's just a one off
Comfortable room Friendly staff Very good security
Basic rooms however good value for money
I liked the fantastic location, in a beautiful old bit of historic liverpool. I liked the faded charm of the hotel and the obvious goodwill of the hotel. A quiet room, a very comfortable luxurious bed was very nice. I slept well.
I did not like the good looking but impractical shower, totally user unfriendly. There was an attractive well stocked bar but no staff, and no loo roll in my bathroom, saved by the night porters midnight delivery. I had to check out at 7 am so have no idea if breakfast was available.
The architecture was lovely, very rich history to the building.
The doors, the fixture and fittings and some of the furniture is rough around the edges and dated and the curtains were hanging off the windows and would not close properly.
Good character building
