The room tired and dated. However, it was clean and comfortable and is going to be refurbished very soon.
The room was advertised as a double but it was definitely more a single.
Great location and fantastic meals
The rooms need updating , shower very dirty and carpets need replacing, windows need replacing
The location of hotel and that we were able to get a carpark.
Our cramped twin room had dust covered curtain valance and light fittings. On arrival 1 bed had to be remade as wine had been spilt on the bedside table and on the bed valance, but hadn't been noticed. Breakfast is only served between 8 - 9 and not until 9am on Saturday, which meant we had to leave without breakfast due to making our ongoing appointment. No reception staff for checkout, kitchenhand said to leave key on bar.
small double bed en suite squeezed into very small space.hand basin obstructed entrance/exit from shower
The beds were clean. The toilets were clean. Central location in Llangollen. The beer was very good. There was a flier in the room for a vegan bistro, The Phoenix. Excellent even though we are not vegans.
There are 2 flights of stairs to the bedrooms. The building is old and tired. It is pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Breakfast morning 1 was poor. One young waiter who was out of his depth. Breakfast morning 2 was totally different. A young girl who was in control. Fast efficient pleasant. A very small car park.
