Bed was uncomfortable. Room was very hot in the evenings and very cold in the mornings, so I now feel sick after staying there two nights. My room was very noisy. Even as a heavy sleeper I was woken up late at night and early in the morning with random noises.
Very good location, just a short walk from Victoria Apollo and Victoria train station and underground links. Relatively good price for London.
Room was rather depressing - basement room with dirty, dated decor. Obviously suffers from damp as there was a dehumidifier running in the room. Terrible mattress, small towel, poor lighting in bathroom. Where were the staff? - went for breakfast at 7.15am (was told service was from 7am) but there were no staff there and no self-serve breakfast out. Went to reception and there were no staff there either, just a sign saying to leave your key on the counter if you wanted to check out, so i had to leave for work hungry! There are other cheaper hotels in London with much better service.
Having read bad reviews of this place, I was a bit fearful! But in fact it was fine for a one night stay, so close to Victoria, fridge in room and kettle too, bed clean and good sleep. It's just an old place which hasn't had a make-over!
Main issue was smell in en suite toilet area, but I think the bathrooms on each landing seemed fine.
Location was great, in that it was close to Victoria station - however, my room was quite literally just over the trainline.
Trains run right the way through the night, horns blowing and brakes screeching. Breakfast was basic but did the job.
The only good news is its position, a two-minute walk from Victoria Station.
Although I was alone there was no enough room to open a suitcase. It is one of the worst hotels I have ever seen.
