Cons: Not clean with a smelly cigarette smell and in an undesirable part of town. No mattress pad and bottom fitted sheet did not stay in place so ended up sleeping on the mattress. Doors did not shut so light in bathroom kept us awake. No screens on windows and air conditioner was very noisy. Would never stay there again.

Pros: Nothing. Was scared I dontbget robbed or catch a disease. The air-conditioning was from the 60s. Loud and didnt cool. The carpet was old and stuffy. And there were many small bugs flying in the room. The shower was the only thing that worked

Pros: It was relatively close to where we needed to be and offered free parking and continental breakfast.

Cons: Elevator was not operational, stairways very dirty, not the cleanest facility. Bed was very uncomfortable and broken. It was slanted and there were metal pieces sticking out from one side of the bed.

Cons: Quality of breakfast seemed poor to me ( only bread, coffee and butter + jam and yogurt. The juice was lacking most of the time.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Checkin and checkout were efficient. Parking was plentiful. The hotel is easy to access from the highway and from downtown.

Cons: The facilities are worn and dated. The carpet is so old that there's no point in cleaning it, as the corners and edges remain dirty. Numerous areas of the hotel that have had a patchwork of amateur renos done, that make for some serious safety issues. Room was large, but most lounge furniture for which there was plenty of room, had been removed. Television only had 1 station. Bathroom smelled terrible, mainly from the shower curtain that had gone rank with mildew. The neighbourhood is really sketchy, and it felt unsafe to walk between there and downtown. There are no restaurants or stores quick walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was all simple carbs -- cereals, bagels. No fruit, no protein.

Cons: We were very disappointed in this location and hotel.. room very dull , dark and not enough lighting, old fridge,dresser where the drawers kept falling open,a/c didnt work, light bulb burnt out of a lamp.. yes we complained about the a/c, they come to check it , the man was nice and accommodating by offering to move us to another room but we needed handicap access and they had no others available , they brought us fans.The outside of the building is rather run down and location not good, all in all if you only need a place to crash it will do, BUT if you enjoy staying in hotels this will be a big let down. I was really looking forward to a night away and this motel was really disappointing to both of us.I didnt want to sleep in the bed and wouldn't of had a shower there. The breakfast really basic, bagels, small muffins, bread,cereal cold. No waffle iron as many location will offer.Not worth 99.00 cad plus tx more like a 45.00 room, Ice machine is on 3rd floor? elevator broken.

Cons: Gross..blood on the shower curtains, nasty yellow stain too. Toilet had no door. Sink had hair all over it that wasn't mine. WAYYY, overpriced. Extremely disappointed.

Cons: So to start this long list. 1) no tv remote 2) dirty, garbage under the bed from other people staying there 3) we opened the fridge and there was rotten food on each shelf of the fridge and the outside of the fridge had smears and stains 4) the toilet wasn't working properly and wasn't flushing 5) super thin blanket 6) no proper parking, people were boxed in and at 3 am we watched one of the employees back out and hit another vehicle and took off 7) the phone in the room didn't allow us to call the front desk 8) when first checking in I stood at the counter for 5 minutes starring at the employees in the other room who were eating and when they made eye contact they looked away and eventually closed the door so I could not see them until a minute later when someone else came to check me in. 9) to many people coming and going to this room near us and doing drugs. Me and my group of friends will not be staying here again.

Pros: The bed was a true king size, big and comfortable. It wasn't filthy. Rooms have been recently renovated and look quite nice. Furnishings weren't bad - comfy and looked good in the room. Pillows were fairly comfy but were obviously the cheapest ones you can get. Rooms have their own thermostats. 1 shampoo/conditioner (worse quality than other hotel shampoos), and 2 mini soaps (had a nice scent) in the bathroom.

Cons: There were no extra pillows or blankets. Bring your own if you think you may need them. It was hard to get a hold of someone when needed, and when I finally did get a hold of a worker, it was hard to get a straight answer, or even understand their broken English. Ask for the wifi password when you check in. There was no literature/welcome info in the room - the usual nearby restaurants, pamphlets, etc were not in the room. We booked online where it said pets were welcome, but when we checked in, there was an outdated card system to fill out that said in bold letters 'NO PETS'... which is it? The room was clean ENOUGH, but I wouldn't call it clean - the mini fridge was dirty with crumbs etc inside, there was dirt and bugs in the window sill, there were smudges and hair all over, the bathroom mirror was not cleaned in a while. If you are a clean freak, this is not the place for you. Walls were quite thin. We were awoken at 2am by our neighbours listening to screaming horror movies for hours. We had to turn the tv on and up loud to cover up the screaming. It did not feel like a safe area. Pretty sure there were quite a few drug dealings going on and hookers in the neighbouring rooms. There were still renovations going on so there was quite a bit of noise for us. Do not stay in room 19 or 17. Room 18 is a boiler/storage room and there was a lot of noise and staff going in and out. They definitely don't use any kind of fabric softener; the towels were quite scratchy. No late checkout offered - We asked for a late checkout and would be charged for another whole night... not cool.

Pros: The only things I did like we're that the unit is stayed in was big and had a comfy bed and is really vlose to bus stops and stores.

Cons: The service was horrible and no one came to clean a mess in the room. The room telephone wasn't working, there WiFi connection is very poor and the showers are rusty. Wheelchair accessibility into the unit is poor with no ramps, the onlyrics way in is to climb over a cemented area that's got a hole on it. Curb at the entrance door of the room and into the office that I had to get out of my cairns and use my knees to reach the desk. Again very poor veining service because they tell you they are coming to fix it, but never show up even after I called their office over 10 times.

Pros: Beds were comfortable. Clean. Quiet. Surpassingly cosy. Friendly staff. Some reviews on here are over exaggerated. Overall wonderful experience

Pros: We were looking for a pet-friendly room for an overnight stay while driving through. The American Plaza Motel was conveniently located on a main street with many local businesses nearby. Around the corner was a pleasant residential neighborhood for walking the dog. The staff member (son of the manager) was very pleasant and helpful, and we had a nice chat. Room was well-equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The window A/C unit was working and kept the room at a comfortable temperature.

Cons: Not that this bothered us, but the room we stayed in could have benefited from attention by an electrician and a plumber. Other than that, the room felt clean, bed was VERY comfortable and everything worked!
