Everything was fine!
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, super room.
The town center of Eisleben was not designed for cars, so be aware of ‘labyrinth situations’
Everything was very nice. Carpet on stair treads was excessively worn. We enjoyed our stay very much. Accommodations to see the Luther room were exceptional.
It was good, so in fact no complains but... What disappointed me was that I booked a spacious double room with wooden floor and a huge bathroom with separate bathtub and toilet as on the photo’s and in reality this room I was assigned to (208) apparently has a very loud ‘zoom’ noice from the kitchen. I was offered another room (214) in the rear of the building. A very good room, but absolutely not as nice as the one I booked, carpet on the floor, a bit of a stale air and with a small shower and toilet. When asking if this room was the same price I got as an answer that ‘a double room is a double room’. No response on the facts or whatsoever. Apparently quite a big difference in rooms and one shouldn’t complain or ask further.
I had to wait long, around an hour, for the meal in the restaurant. The receptionist apparently also served the meals. In the morning at 9 am the breakfast looked like it was laying there from 7 am without refreshing. A fly was circling above it.
We've made a reservation at the Graf von Mansfeld hotel for one night only, but we really wished we could have stayed longer! Staff was very helpfull and friendly. When we got back from a little walk late in the evening we met the night porter. Not only was he very friendly, but he could tell us lots about Eisleben, which gave us a little insight in this town and it's community. It was no problem at all for the staff to prepare a drink that wasn't served at the breakfast buffet, and she didn't charge us for it. Breakfast was very good aswell, much variation and fresh. When we left, the man at the reception kindly offered us two bottles of drinks, because it would get very warm in our car on the way back home. Our room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is situated in a beautifull building at the heart of Eisleben. The interior is very well managed with beautifull details. Even when you're not so much into history, this is a wonderfull hotel to stay. We absolutly love this place and would like to come back in the near future!
There's nothing that disappointed us.
