What a nice people and what a nice hotel. The surroundings of Madonna are like Paradise when you like mountains as I do.
Staff was mostly very professional and polite, special thanks to Elena at reception who was very helpful. Both the room and the bathroom were nicely sized, with a good bathtub. The decor is simple, Alpine wooden style, well-maintained. The spa includes 2 saunas (finnish and bio), and a turkish sauna that were well-sized (at least for visiting off-season in Sept). There's also a separate pool and jacuzzi area open to children. The hotel offered a complimentary tea time with fruit and sweets, which was nice. The hotel is 10 min walk to the centre, in a quiet location across the river. Ample easy parking nearby. Room was well heated in the shoulder season in Sept.
The biggest issue was the safety of the pool. It's not deep, < 1.5 metres, but there are underwater slippery stairs that you can easily bang against if you try to swim. There were also the cords of the tarp that covers the pool that you can get tangled in. Definitely a weird and unsafe design. To turn on the bathroom heating you need to call reception, and it resets every day, which was a bit of a hassle. Breakfast was okay but no local cheese and salami provided, only average quality supermarket ones. The double bed was two separate beds, and kind of hard and lumpy, the mattress could do with an update. Quiet in the off season but bathroom pipes from neighbouring rooms can be heard clearly, so if you want to sleep in bring earplugs. Change of bathrobe for the spa for an additional charge. Some of the staff at the bar paid little attention to us, they were busying themselves with Italian guests mostly, which left us with a strange feeling of being invisible at times. Please consider changing toiletries to eco-friendly ones in big dispensers instead of the small package plastic ones.
Staff were exeltionly kind
Breakfast & dinner room is in the basement no windows
Reception staff friendly and polite. Pet friendly hotel.Great food. With plesure would come back to this hotel.
Hotel is perfect for combination of skiing, wellness and dining. Hotel has two vans that bring us every morning to the cable car of our choice and after skiing they came to pick up us upon the phone call. Wellness area is nice and it opens from 2 to 8 pm that gives plenty of space for everybody to enjoy and it does not get crowded. Foot was excellent, great choice of local specials and traditional Italian kitchen and they offer very good (and affordable) selection of vines from Alto Adigie and Trentino region.
When you stay at Hotel Chalet all'Imperatore in Madonna di Campiglio, you'll be on a river, just steps from Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta and 15 minutes by foot from Madonna di Campiglio Ski Area. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
