I stayed in the hotel on the first week of October. Room - I booked “classic sea view room” but it was upgraded on checking in. It is large, spacious and clean. The view is amazing. The bed is very comfortable and room amenities are enough. Beach - there are 4 beaches and each of them are amazing. Towels are provided, there are restaurants in each one. You can transfer from one beach to another either by shuttle boat (very frequent), or kayaks (the most fun) or walk (a bit long). Spa - sauna and steam room are good. Massages and spa treatments are a little pricey ( comparing to London ) Restaurants - all of them world class restaurants and located on the beaches (except the Japanese one is located at the hotel building). They offer a Great selection of food. In high season, advance booking is the must! In terms of price, comparing to London, they are either the same or more expensive. This was the only negative about the hotel experience. Breakfast - anything and everything one could wish and eat for breakfast is available. This includes healthy selections of fruit to delicious fresh baked pastries. Staff - from the security personnel to the shuttle boat drivers, every single one was greatly helpful and polite. They are trying to make the guests happy.
High Prices at the restaurants.
It was wonderful! We were extremely happy and think, that we're visiting D-Maris next year again. Thank you for everything.
Beaches Staff & service Breakfast Cleanliness
Had to wait 20 mins at breakfast to get a table
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will be returning. Several elements can be highlighted: 1) The views are simply gorgeous. The photos available here do not do this resort justice, we were even more impressed when we got there; 2) The personnel are always smiling, kind and helpful - very client-oriented; 3) The whatsapp 24/7 service is a very positive touch and proved useful on a couple of occasions; 4) The two mountain trams to the main beach, as well as the shuttle boats connecting the beaches are very convenient and pleasant; 5) The beaches and the area in general are clean and well taken care of. Well done!
With a caveat that overall we were very pleased with our stay and plan to return, the following four aspects can be mentioned: 1) The absence of soundproofing in the rooms. Our sleep was sometimes interrupted by other guests walking down the corridor. 2) I wasn't particularly fond of the number of sparrows flocking to the breakfast terrace, even less so by some guests feeding those birds by throwing breadcrumbs onto the terrace floor and railings. This was neither aesthetically pleasing, nor hygienic. 3) Keep in mind that when booking a room with the sea view, you may get a side view of the sea. 4) The final thing is minor but needs mentioning: my partner and I got a mild case of food poisoning towards the end of our stay there. It must have been something at breakfast.
D Maris Bay is a resort that overlooks a cove on the Datca Peninsula in Turkey. The resort has stunning views of where the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas come together. This location is somewhat secluded so guests will feel a sense of privacy during their stays.
There are 196 rooms at the hotel that come in many different options. All rooms have either a view of the mountains or of the sea. There is everything from classic rooms to premier suites, and even a villa. The décor is meant to be a combination of both Western and Eastern civilization. All of the rooms have a lot of space, as well as, air conditioning, minibars, memory foam mattresses, LED TVs, iPod docks, free WiFi, and complimentary bottled water.
D Maris Bay has six restaurants. These include Nusr-Et, Maris Kitchen, Manos, La Guerite, Zuma, and The Terrace. There are several bars and lounges. Ruya Lounge is an outdoor bar with lots of areas to sit and talk with drinks. There’s also La Guerite, the Lobby Bar, the Pool Bar, and a Beach Bar. Guests can order room service during all hours.
Guests will find there are tons of things to do right at the resort. D Maris Bay has all of the equipment to do kayaking, motor boating, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, and water skiing at the property. There are some good trails around for going hiking or biking. There are tennis courts and basketball courts. Guests can even take a helicopter or airplane tour from the hotel. There is a free kid’s club, and also a spa.
D Maris Bay is a hidden gem of a resort that would be a good backdrop for an amazing vacation for families, couples, singles, and retirees. The resort has everything visitors need right on the premises.
