The interior design - very Moroccian. We were next to the Medina but the Riad was in the slums.
A majority of Riads are located in the slums. It's scary and there are no steet signs. It's like a maze. Streets are too narrow for cars. So you have to walk to the riad. Local boys will guide you for about 4 Dirham ($0.50). They go in pairs so be prepared to give each $0.50. They speak English. I would recommend a hotel or stand along Riad with a garden. These are usually outside of the Medina. If you get a Riad near walking distance of the Medina beware - it will be in the slums! I would not go back. Our air conditioner did not work. They lied about having a private living room. The so called private living room was actually outside of the room. This is a terrible riad. The staff couldn't speak English - bad if an emergency occurs.
Very welcoming team. Always ready to help. We really recommend a dinner at the Riad...Prepared by Radijah and with hosted by Omar, they are even better than the dinner we had at the Al Fassia (one of the top tables of Marrakech). A very nice and romantic riad. Thank you to Evelyne and her team.
It's a pity we could not stay longer and enjoy the peaceful court or terrace offered by the Riad. It maybe difficult to find the first time but some kids on the street helped us straight away (Moroccans are very welcoming)
An oasis of calm after a busy day in a very bustling, insane city. The meal prepared to order (completely flexible about time and where to eat) by Khadija was superb - delicious, generous and personally served. We would highly recommend the hotel for its personal, friendly feel. Omar, too, was a real gem. He made sure everything was completely perfect. I intend to return with my daughter soon.
Excellent cooking in the hotel and really not expensiive.
Very nice deco and clean place.
Very poor greatings at arrival: first 2 questions were How are you going to pay and At what time are you leaving. No introduction from the staff and the partner Dominique was totally ignoring us after his phone call, business seems to be a priority. We had to beg for information about the functioning of the place. In the absence of manager Evelyne (never saw her), it felt as if the house belonged to the staff, especially in the evening. Coming back to the riad for a quiet evening, we HAD to listen to Omar's loud music and we obsviously disturbed his plans when we turned off the TV on the roof where we took refuge. Not a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff not so friendly, a little bit too curious: our safran was tested in our room sink.
The location was perfect for visiting the old town. The riad was beautiful and the room and facilities extremely comfortable. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly which made our stay very memorable. I would recommend this riad to all my friends and go again myself. Thank you to all the staff.
No bad points
The Riad is beautiful, very well decorated peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast is very good and everyday different.
Our room did not have toilets inside so we had to use the toilets on the ground floor located in the dinning room. The hotel is difficult to find.
Good location. The riad is esthetically appealing. Owners and staff were friendly and kind. They would no doubt be very helpful if they spoke French or Berber = strictly English speakers need to be prepared to be on their own.
Little privacy. Sheltered from the noise of the Medina but not the noise within the riad. Amenities listed on web not available. For example, the web listed buffet breakfast but in reality we had coffee, orange juice, bread, and some kind of potato-ish bread-like fried pancakes. The cost of transportion to and from the airport is excessive. Couldn´t pay with credit card=lost 1/2 day getting cash.
Very romantic hotel, very traditional
Very friendly staff
The Riad is based in a very poor area of the city
