Dorms are compact, enough bathrooms so never have to wait. Friendly staff and they organize activities. About 20 mins by tram to CBD. Parking on site $5 a day.
Kitchen, common areas and tv room always crowded. There are like 6 fridges but they’re always packed and no space to leave anything. Mattresses are uncomfortable (too hard and can feel the springs).
Great staff, clean and well kept, nice common area, close to tram stop and grocery store.
Mattresses are not the comfiest. It's a bit of a walk to the beach.
I can tell you that the stuff is absolutely amazing specially Tiaan and carly they helps me with any problem i had with humanity!! I felt like home there
Good location only a short walk to the main area in St Kilda. Which is handy because you probably will have to eat out considering the state of the kitchen.
A lot of things... The lack of hygiene in the communal kitchen was disgusting. I understand that it is up to people to clean up after themselves but it was so bad that the staff need to be stricter with people who don't. Filthy plates and cutlery everywhere, there was even raw pieces of chicken left in the sink. The staff were rude and spaced out half the time. Remote for air con wasn't working so asked reception for a new one, was told maintenance would come in the morning to sort it....they didn't. 3 days later still no air con/heating. There was a bird nesting in the roof above our room which made constant noise, didn't want to trouble "maintenance" with that issue as well. Paid $15 dollars for 3 days parking( to be fair very reasonable) on the second day had a note on the car saying that it was not registered in the system and to contact reception. All in all if you are a "free spirit" who enjoys some casual salmonella and aggressive bird noises all night long then this is the place for you, if not then avoid it like the plague.
woke up to a couple having sex next to me.
