The hotel is just across the park from the white sands of the beach and is only 10 miles from Miami International Airport. Fort Lauderdale International Airport is 20 miles away. South Beach is one minute away on foot, and Lummus Park Beach is only two minutes away. The historic Art Deco District is only a minute away on foot.

There are only 43 guest rooms at the Strand Ocean Drive Suites, and all are non-smoking. These suites offer expanded living areas and furnishings, as well as flat-screen TVs with cable programming, a kitchenette including a microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, and pots and pans, in-room air conditioning, private baths, luxury toiletries, and more. Housekeeping is available throughout the week, and family rooms and accessible rooms are also on offer.
