Padre Oaks is a relatively small venue, boasting only 20 rooms. Each room is smoke and pet free. Guests are invited to choose between three styles of guest rooms: the superior room, the deluxe room with a queen-size bed and the deluxe room with a king-size bed. Aside from the number and size of beds, the amenities guests receive remain the same regardless of which room they reserve. Each guest room features a workspace, large window, traditional nightstands, private bathroom, coffee maker, private entrance and plush bedding. Visitors can also expect free toiletries, premium TV channels, and tour/ticket assistance. The entire venue styled with traditional country-decor, including shutters on the windows, floral borders and an earthy color pallet.

Padre Oaks is situated close to numerous local restaurants, making it easy for guests of all ages to find something they will enjoy. On-site a free continental breakfast is served daily, this includes cereal, bagels, muffins, tea, coffee and juice.

Cons (-) Unresponsive management. Would not do anything about an exterior light shining through a window with minimal window shutters. The place is dirty and the parking lot was tiny, yet packed with cars, making parking a disaster.

Pros (+) Location was convenient to both the beach and downtown Monterey. Staff was friendly.
Cons (-) The rooms were old and the carpet smelled. The maid sprayed Febreze all over the room to cover it up, and we had to air it out. The lock was almost broken and a few times the door got stuck. Really, it was just a bunch of barely-maintained wooden shacks.
