For a romantic getaway on Moreton Island, consider staying in one of the more secluded townships, like Bulwer. Here, you can find holiday homes like SeaView, which offers an outdoor kitchen from which to enjoy the bay views. You’ll also find cute beach houses on the foreshore, like 65 The Strand Bulwer, which offers luxurious Balinese furnishings and a generous deck from which to enjoy the sunsets.

Families visiting Moreton Island may wish to book one of the island’s many holiday homes. These give you the peace and freedom of having your own space, and many come with multiple bathrooms, so there never has to be a queue. Spots like Coral Crescent Tangalooma offer ocean views, a private beach and access to a pool and tennis court. You’ll also have spacious balconies, an outdoor BBQ and easy access to fun activities like hiking, canoeing and fishing.

With around 98% of Moreton Island accounted for by the national park, it certainly isn’t a party island. However, you will find B&B's Bar in Tangalooma and The Gutter Bar in Kooringal. To be close to B&B’s, it’s worth booking a villa at Tangalooma Island Resort. To be close to The Gutter Bar, consider accommodation options like Umpy’s Humpy or Island Retreat in Kooringal, which can be found on the southern tip of the island.

To have the beach at your doorstep each morning, consider one of the beachfront villas at Tangalooma Resort. When you book through KAYAK, you can access private rentals, like Villa 15 Tangalooma Resort, that have been updated and maintained by the owners. This gives you access to all the resort benefits, like the pool and tennis court, but with the personal touches and extra care and attention to detail of a private rental.
